My son and I would go here to get a haircut. Only saw the owner twice in that time. We developed a relationship with the stylists. The place took on a personality of its own. It buzzed. Great conversations, great personalities. The stylists got to know you and became your friends. Then the owner came back to work and ruined everything. Go here if you want a Sports Clips/Supercuts experience. Go here if you want a vanilla experience. This place lost all its appeal. All the talent left for another shop at 71st and Elm.

It was the middle of the day on a Wednesday and I had EIGHT people in front of me and their are two barbers. But I thought you know what, let's try it. I listened to these two men interact with everyone in their as if they were all part of the family. It had such a great relaxing atmosphere that the hour wait zoomed by. When I finally got a chance, Dick had his chair empty and invited me up. Dick introduces himself and the other barber (his son Witt). Then Dick looks at me and said "now you can tell everyone that you got your hair cut by a real Dick!" He got to talking to me and asking me questions and getting to know me and by time I was done, I felt like I was wrapped into the family too! Heck, dick even lied to me and said I was ugly! The father and son duo is awesome and I'm really glad the two of them get to do what they love together. They make such an amazing team and I hope they are still at it next year when I return! At the time I was relocated from GA to the area for work, unlike where I'm originally from barbershops that service black hair are not on ever confer in Broken Arrow/Tulsa. After doing a little research I quickly learned that most of those shops were located north of me with the exception of one; Black Label. I booked an appointment and I'm happy I did because not only did AG cut my sons hair well, the atmosphere of the shop was extremely family friendly, & clean. I utilized AG for the duration of our stay until I took another role and was relocated this past fall. Yes, you may have to wait but quality work is worth it. Oh by the way the wait time is not problem because unlike MOST barbershops the waiting area is clean and you don't have to worry about being solicited or overhearing what some would consider inappropriate conversations. I highly recommend this shop, and AG to anyone in the area. Friendly tip, book your next appointment while you're there waiting to be serviced... I would book my sons next 3 appointments as far as his calendar would allow.
