I took these folks a finder from a motorcycle that had no noun or noun nomenclature form of a color…read morecode. This guy spent the better part of a day searching for a color code. We even took half the motorcycle apart trying to find the sticker or something to identify the the color code. I got tired and left. I went back again the next day and he did identify the color and the painter was actually working on my finder. This dude had the part finished the next day. I had to think long and hard if this cycle worth what the bill was going to be. I looked the fender over very good and the match was perfect. Considering there are over 2 million colors to chose from. They charged my a modest price and the best paint job anyone could ask for. This place is super busy and they managed to work me in right away. Totally amazing group. Thanks Matt and your painters for your dedication. I really do appreciate all that you do. After some minor paint damage happened to my car, I took it to Dacus for an estimate. They…read moreperformed the estimate and sent it to me, and then I provided it to my insurance company - all good so far. After insurance processed it, we received a check for $500 less than what the claim had been. I called the insurance company to ask why this was, and they said that Dacus had agreed to do the work for the lower price, so with my deductible and the check they had sent I would be good to go. I called Dacus to schedule to work, however they surprised me: They said they didn't care what they had agreed to with the insurance company, they would be charging me the full price on the original estimate, and probably more, and I would just have to eat what insurance didn't cover. Thankfully, I called my insurance and was able that check voided (it was addressed to the body shop), and found another body shop that agreed to do the work at the price that Dacus had agreed to do it for before they tried to make me pay the original estimate price out of pocket. The insurance company had the documentation that Dacus had agreed to do the work for that lower price, email trail and everything, so Dacus apparently thought they would just agree to the lower price and then get some extra money on top out of me. No thanks.

Disappointed. Our vehicle was rear ended and we were having trouble getting money from the other…read moreparties insurance. I asked Collision Works to repair the existing OEM parts where possible to save money. Instead, they ordered a cheap ass bumper cover and trunk lid. When we picked up the car, I noticed they tried delivering the car under a shaded awning. After 15 years in the paint industry, I know better and told them to pull it out into the sun so I could see the work. The color match was okay, but there were dirt nibs in the paint and they didn't polish them out. I also saw the corner of the bumper was sticking out. The guy told me they bought a "cheaply" to save money. I specifically remember telling them to repair the OEM parts if possible, not to order cheap crap. By the time we got home, the bumper was complete coming off. We called to have it fixed and they rescheduled another appointment. The second time we got it back, I noticed they had put screws from the inside of the bumper to the fender trying to keep it from popping back out. The bumper plainly didn't fit the car and they didn't care. It's been 6 months and now the chrome on the truck lid they replaced is delaminating. As an experienced paint professional, I'm embarrassed I didn't do more research. If I hadn't transitioned to aviation work, I would have fixed this myself. I would have given 1 star but the color match was good?
