They…read moreperformed the estimate and sent it to me, and then I provided it to my insurance company - all good so far. After insurance processed it, we received a check for $500 less than what the claim had been. I called the insurance company to ask why this was, and they said that Dacus had agreed to do the work for the lower price, so with my deductible and the check they had sent I would be good to go. I called Dacus to schedule to work, however they surprised me: They said they didn't care what they had agreed to with the insurance company, they would be charging me the full price on the original estimate, and probably more, and I would just have to eat what insurance didn't cover. Thankfully, I called my insurance and was able that check voided (it was addressed to the body shop), and found another body shop that agreed to do the work at the price that Dacus had agreed to do it for before they tried to make me pay the original estimate price out of pocket. The insurance company had the documentation that Dacus had agreed to do the work for that lower price, email trail and everything, so Dacus apparently thought they would just agree to the lower price and then get some extra money on top out of me. No thanks.

I brought my vehicle here for collision repairs. After pickup, my AC no longer worked and began…read moreblowing a fuse, despite having no prior issues before the accident, for the entirety of my ownership with the vehicle. The shop stated they could not identify a cause and suggested it may not be related, so I've had to involve my insurance for further review. I returned the vehicle within two days of pickup. Initially, I was told the issue may have been mechanical and outside the scope of their repair. However, after paying out of pocket for a diagnostic, I was informed the issue is electrical and located in the same area as the collision damage and repair work. When I brought this information back, the shop stated they could not find anything wrong and again suggested it was unrelated. I am now paying for an additional diagnostic through them to continue the process. Additionally, I was disappointed with the communication. Staff frequently directed questions and explanations to my husband rather than speaking to me directly, even when I was present and actively involved in the conversation. I would encourage others to thoroughly check all vehicle functions before and after repairs, and to advocate for clear and direct communication throughout the process.

Clay and his staff, I mean every last person, are amazing. Clay worked with me and helped me navigate my insurance, who was NOT cooperating with the repair process and wanted to total my vehicle. The repair bill he submitted to me and the insurance company was thorough, comprehensive and took into consideration value and safety. Through Clay and his staff's knowledge and guidance, I was able to convince the insurance to pay for repairs. He didn't go one penny over the bill he submitted. In fact, it was a couple hundred less than expected. The quality of work is top notch. We were even given a tour before they took my Tahoe in the shop. I love the openness of communication and the honesty he presents with his business up front. The update calls on the work being done were very helpful and if you had a question, you got it answered promptly. The work done to my Tahoe was amazing. It had considerable damage, not just a bumper and a headlight, this was extensive damage down the side of the vehicle. The paint was on point and the interior was free of stains and air bag dust. It was aligned, calibrated, everything was set back to original including the clock! It's like the damage never happened. Their Quality assurance is phenomenal. They go over their work with a fine toothed comb and don't bat an eye to go and redo something. They worked as fast as they could and didn't skimp on quality in the least bit. And the work is warrantied! I have never had that advertised to me before! I appreciate the fact that he has a small town atmosphere in a big city business. This is an honest, work for you and get it done establishment and Wichita should be so lucky to have a reputable business like this. I won't take my business anywhere else. If you love stress and drama when trying to get your car repaired, Best Body Shop is for you. When we got the repair plan, there was a $5000 difference between the repair plan estimate and what the insurance would pay. We stopped the process, towed our car to a different body shop, and told them how extremely unhappy we were with their whole process. It still cost us over $1000 out of pocket to get them to release our car. We cannot stress strongly enough, DO NOT GO TO BEST BODY SHOP FOR ANYTHING!!!

I take immaculate care of my vehicles. IMMACULATE. How did it happen twice? I'm guessing the employees are using drugs/alcohol on the job.. And when you talk to them about it? They scream in your face and disallow you to speak in any capacity. They're always right, even with their abysmal "work," always. Also panels on both cars were screwed. Brakes came back all the way demolished. A transmission was replaced with a faulty transmission that jumps. They also hate women. Absolutely HATE women. I have to call them when it's a female's car in my family. Because they lie, cheat, condescend, and rob women, because as I've overheard them saying "Women don't know s*** hahahaha" while on the phone waiting. Honestly, I'd pay 6-10k to have avoided this place. All the employees are psychotic and they do horrid work. Trust and believe, if you take your car here they will be happy to destroy it. They'll be happy to causes you 5k in damages by taking a knife to your upholstery. And replacing new parts in your car with used trash so they can bleed the insurance company just a LITTLE more each time at the cost of the consumer. You are TRASH and everyone who works there. I've told many people how happy I've been with them, but today they did something that was absolutely above and beyond the call of duty. I went in to check on getting a big old dent fixed (caused by a kid with a lethal soccer ball). I believe it was Chris who said he'd take a look at it to see what needed to be done. He looked at it, asked me to open the trunk, reached in and popped the dent right out. I offered to pay him and he told me not to be silly - it was his pleasure. During that time, we were fed every excuse under the sun as to why it was taking so long (trouble getting parts, parts lost during shipping, additional repair needs identified during the final test drive, etc.). But the biggest issue was that they somehow managed to drop the car off a lift during repair causing additional damage that had nothing to do with the accident. We were not even offered a discount at pickup.
