Run - run fast!! This guy replaced my timing chain for $900 and 6 months later the car seized with a broken chain!! When i went back for the warrenty he said it was for the $100 part only!!! He has been in biz for over 30 years and has only 5 reviews - that says quite a lot. If you drive up to this place you will see cars all over, take a picture then drive by in a week all the same cars. Even 2 years later still the same cars parked in the lot. What else is there to say. His dad owned this place way back when, he was a good guy and a Lions Club member but the son John is a SCA$&@? Beware and go elsewhere!! read more

My check tire pressure warning went on and I was near here so I pulled in and told the nearest guy. He said they didn't have time to check and fill my tire(s). As I was about to leave he waved at me and a young man had me pull very close to the bay area where he proceeded to check the tire I told him I thought it was. That one wasn't it so he goes onto the next one. I told him that was it but he said he'd check them all. When he was through I handed him a few dollars and he refused. I finally persuaded him to take it. What a great young man and great place! read more

I would never go here again. I went in for a flat tire and i was told i need a new pressure gauge, a new wheel/rim, and a new tire. Decided to get a second opinion as i was not about to pay $650 and brought it to where i have gone for the last 20 years and I don't need any of that. All i need is a new tire and that is probably only because they didn't give me my old one back. The wheel/rim and gauge are absolutely fine. Thank God i went for a second opinion. They really thought they were going to pull one over on this girl. Also, John Blamer is very very rude and sarcastic. read more

I was referred to Blamer Auto Repair several years ago, and they've kept my Ford Escort wagon (160k miles and still counting) going with both regular maintenance and emergency repairs. I also live pretty close, and they have given me a ride back home and picked me up when the work was done. I totally agree with Cat J - reliable, accommodating, professional, fair, and fast. When you depend on an older car, having a truly trustworthy mechanic is pure gold. I've had some pretty expensive repairs done, but I've never doubted that the charges for parts or labor were anything but absolutely fair.
