So, I posted a negative review on here, regarding a $235 charge for two issues that these guys couldn't find or fix. The next day Danny called me 12 times and left three messages saying "call me." I returned the call after hours and said "why are you blowing up my phone?" I never heard back. He had cleared my check engine light, saying he couldn't find any problem. Needless to say, the check engine light is back on and the car is barely drivable now. I dropped off my car off at 8 am I was called by 8:45 with the issue of my car which it had a few, I was told the best thing for me without breaking the bank, and Denny told that this would be the best way to take and cost effective for my cars issues. I appreciate their honesty and not trying to screw me out out of a bunch of money especially when I'm on a budget to begin with. Matt who worked on my car was very pleasant and helpful and he explained to me what was wrong with my car so that I understand it. I have to say that North Avenue Automotive is a GREAT place!!!!! When I brought my truck in to be fixed, Denny talked to me about everything. They found something else that needed to be done on my truck. Before they fixed it, they talked to me about it to get my approval. Denny was great and Paul (the owner) was great also. He fixed my car, then took it out for a drive to see if there were any problems. There was a little rattling sound and said that everything else was good. Kia was stolen with damages from the car jacking (window busted, steering column broken) and they were willing to fix. Not only were they patient and understanding when insurance took a week to actually recover the vehicle from the police lot; but they also were communicative throughout the entire repair. They even reached out to confirm the quote after insurance added an additional repair cost to the total. PLUS, they went the extra mile to find a salvaged part when they discovered it was on back order. Last thing- they detail cleaned the car before we got it back which was a really nice touch. I had brought my Honda to the dealership I bought it at to get an axle seal replaced. 2 days later my car making a terrible grinding, and wubbing noise while I was driving. From what I read on the internet I thought it was going to be an expensive fix so I was stressing out big time. I brought it in to North Ave Auto, based on the good reviews they have and how close they are to my home, and they took me in right away. I was told that the last people to do work on it didn't properly tighten the lug nuts on my tires after removing them and putting them back on. They tightened them up, and sent me on my way without charging me. I really appreciate it! The only reason I'd offer two stars since is because they were willing to help me out on the spot. Similar to reviewer Josh H. below, I had a screw stuck in the tread of my tire and needed it plugged. They charged me $55, which I think can only be considered price gouging. I've had the same exact service (on the spot, screw stuck in the tread of a tire) completed by a competitor one block away for $15, and the job was completed twice as fast (roughly 10 minutes vs 20 here). Extremely trust worthy, attentive, and skilled. I never had an issue with any work I got done at North Auto. Denny and the crew are so friendly and always try to do right by you. After having some work done Denny took us into the shop and showed us the parts that were worn down and explained what they did, how they get worn down, and why they had to be replaced. Took my vehicle in today to get some parts installed and sat for 30min for them to tell me I needed parts that don't even fit my vehicle... I work at O'Reilly's and had an entire print out of my parts needed. They even put a sticker under my hood saying I needed the exact parts I brought in... All for them to tell me I got the wrong part yet I got them from my store through the parts system that had ally vehicle information saved.... Long story short is they lies straight to my face after I gave them half the payment for the work.... Then acted like he was going to keep my money until I said something to him on the lines of "soooo am I getting my $120 back..." "Oh sure" was his response....! The service at North Avenue Auto is beyond anything I have experienced in auto repair since I moved here from Green Bay. The first time I came in, it was for a simple brake pad repair. When I brought my car in, Denny greeted me and dropping my car off was quick and efficient. I ended up needing the rotors replaced and a new serpentine belt as well, and received a call asking if I wanted it fixed. I was hesitant to agree to this, being that most auto repair shops tend to take advantage of customers with as little automotive knowledge as me, but they said it was something that really needed to be done as soon as possible. When I came to pick my car up, Denny brought me back into the shop and showed me the old parts from my car and showed me what they were supposed to look/ function like, which I really appreciated and it really assured me that I needed the parts and that I was really being looked out for. They even ran a diagnostic for issues that I may want to look out for in the future. I've been back since and they made sure to ask if I was still satisfied with the repairs, which were phenomenal and my car with 204,000 miles is running as smooth as ever!
