They called to confirm my next appointment and when I told them that I needed to reschedule because I got called in for work (I'm a nurse on night shift), they were rude and definitely not understanding and let me know I'd be charged $55 for rescheduling because it wasn't 48 hours in advance (but I can't predict when patients are going to need me)! I also drive a 1.5 hour commute for work AND to this clinic if I'm coming from home so they expected me to work 16 hours, get off at 7:30AM and wait around in Salinas until 11AM for a cleaning and then drive 1.5 hours home?? Oddly enough this was after I expressed concerns about how I'd be reaching a $2,000 annual maximum with just X-rays and deep cleanings and then have to pay $1,800 out of pocket for a crown and something else. Seems they're actually more concerned about money than they are about their patients needs. There are other reviews regarding their patients having to pay out of pocket and being conned into using carecredit despite their insurance all because they contract with a doctor out of network and don't mention that. I cancelled all of my appointments and let them know I will happily find a different dental office. I'm not going to spend my money on anyone that doesn't value my time. The dental professional are all about actively ensuring the patients comfort with offering a warm blanket or using relaxation techniques to calm any nerves. They are dialed in to your energy and aim to please. My hygienist is the best! Rosie is extremely thorough and attentive. Last but not least, Dr. H is awesome. Please note that this review only addresses the aspects of the firm's Sedation Dentistry offering for those who have difficulty or pain with standard dental anesthetic. I called Blanco Dental for an appointment for a consultation to discuss my concerns with tooth sensitivity and a history of difficulty in numbing nerves surrounding a tooth. At the appointment, after filling out multiple questionnaires and having my insurance checked, I was immediately given 18 dental ex rays prior to any consultation with the Dentist. When he did introduce himself and asked about my concerns I informed him that I had previous very painful dental care experiences, with a sensitivity to metal instrumentation touching teeth and an inability to numb and was hoping to complete all care with his firm's advertised sedation dentistry. He then began to put a metal pick in my mouth. I asked if he could use a non-metal pick and he said he could not. I then asked if he must use a metal pick if I could undergo the exam while using sedation. He said that would be impossible as he would need my feedback as to what I was feeling! Blanco Dental Circle's advertisement for their sedation states : "This enables you to feel relaxed but remain conscious during your treatment so can answer any questions the doctor may have." Apparently Dr Hajdari disagrees with his office's descriptions of services. I did choose to leave without having any work done. Not at all comfortable with a Dentist not willing to address my concerns. I suspect my insurance will pay for the x-rays given prior to consultation. read more

I was referred here by a co-worker of mine and I'm definitely someone that becomes very skeptical about places I go to. I read every possible review and ask around before accepting to go. Upon arrival the staff was very welcoming and I didn't have to wait long which was nice. Once they took me to my room I was explained what they would do in detail. Once X-rays were taken the dentist ED Hajdari was super informative on everything and answered all my questions and concerns in detail. I'm someone who suffers from anxiety and during the whole time I felt very comfortable and even during my cleaning they made sure I was good and provided warm blanket and pillows as well as glasses to block the lights from hurting eyes. Overall I'd say I'm glad I chose them as my primary dental clinic. Looking forward to coming back and getting my extra work done. I will update soon! read more

Nothing but crooks! Didn't tell me my insurance was NOT accepted until AFTER the job was done!!! I gave the receptionist my insurance card as soon as I walked in to verify if there had been any changes to my policy that I need to be aware of? At the end of the oral cleaning I had to pay a certain percentage of my free cleaning because my insurance was not in their program!! Isn't that something you would want your patient to know before any work gets done?? They can not say they didn't know prior to my cleaning because the girl flat out said that My Insurance has NEVER been accepted in that office AFTER all my work was done!! WTH??? My husband and I both got crowns done in 2019. 1 year later, my crown fell out and I had to have it redone. 2 years later, my husband's crown fell out and he had to have his redone! Thankfully, they redid mine for free but since my husband's was 2 years ago it is now not covered and we have to pay out of pocket! We recently moved to the bay area and every time we see a new dentist they comment on how horribly done our crowns are. The worst part is, any new crowns aren't covered for 3-5 years. So although our new crowns are horrible... we have to deal with it unless we want to pay for them out of pocket. I used to LOVE coming here and did not want to switch dentists to the bay for a long time. However, now that Candy is gone I definitely will not be coming back. read more

This place is probably good for basic dental cleaning, since complicated procedures are not their thing. First, after complaining about a Crown procedure they finally determine the root was infected. Soon after I was in antibiotics and a root canal follows, this was on a completed crown. BUMMER! All costs came out of my pocket since Blanco Circle had already extracted the insurance coverage on the crown. BUMMER AGAIN! Second, at the beginning of the year, I schedule a new appointment with a totally new issue but I decided to point out how bad things went with the previous work performed. My hope was to remind them that they need to do a better job and use coverage funds where they make sense. The reply was that these issues are 50/50 chance to get them right. At this point, I told Gary P. Kugman that there was no difference going down south to TJ and expect the same results with a lower price tag. To keep the review short, at this point the appointment was terminated, stop dead on track, prolonging the new issue. Soon after I received a letter stating that they will no longer provide my dental care. Anyway, two days after I found a new Dentistry with less fancy equipment but a good sense of health care, which I plan to move all my family ASAP. So, be aware since you have a 50/50 chance to get it right and 100% to open CareCredit. read more

They blamed the people making the dentures. Said they did it wrong. So they said lets try again and got the same result. Never again. Terrible place. Ended up going elsewhere. read more

By far best dentist office I have ever been to!! Everyone at the office extremely friendly and helpful from the front desk to the assistants and dentist. Usually Candy is the person to clean my teeth and tell me where I need to focus on at home. I have never met anyone more enthusiastic about clean teeth. I have been to more dentists in the past decade than I can fully remember. I have the had the hardest time finding an office that was actually a PLEASURE to go to until now. That's right... I look forward to my cleanings now! There is so much to say about this office. Everyone is warm and cordial from the moment you walk in the door. The waiting room is clean and extremely comfortable, with a nice Keurig at your service. There is also an AWESOME fish tank to look at. The hygienists are all extremely nice and very very very helpful. I was twenty when I first came into this office, but the hygienist took note of the plaque locations on my teeth and told me how I could improve my brushing technique. I heeded her advice, and have been brushing my teeth the way she advised since. They take the time to engage each patient and explain how they can improve their health. I really don't think you will get that everywhere. They also measure your gum health and tell you how you did once a year. It has turned into a competition with myself... I want no 4's! I see Dr. Klugman and my Dad sees Dr. Bianco and we are both very satisfied with the treatment we have received. I have a problem that prevents me from getting numb when I get fillings. I have had far too many experiences where I have been able to feel dentists drilling into my nerves... but Dr. Klugman is EXCELLENT for comfort dentistry. He believed that I had a legitimate problem and took plenty of time to make sure that I was fully numb and comfortable for the procedure. They even gave me free laughing gas because they knew I was already on edge (from having had so many horrifying trips to other dentist in the past). It was one of my first pain free fillings in years. And hopefully my last filling ever... I have really stepped up my flossing! They also have nice amenities like Monterey Bay Aquarium passes you can use for the day, ect. All in all this place is wonderful and I highly suggest making this your dentist office! update: I have never had anyone try to upsell me on anything or try to talk me into any cosmetic dentistry. I think other reviewers may not be taking great care of their teeth and are simply surprised by the cost of dental care. read more

Been to a few other offices before but none like this one, very professional. They make you feel welcome and very comfortable. Did not expect to receive a literally warm blanket and be given the remote control. Candy was very nice as well, usually when doctors talk to me I usually don't understand but just agree, she explained everything very well and gave me advice and tips for better care. So i haven't been to the dentist in years!! due to no insurance and let me tell you i was a nervous wreck I'm telling you sweaty palms on the verge of an anxiety attack nervous doesn't even begin to describe what i was feeling but i knew i had to go and take care of my teeth right off the bat the ladies in the front desk were so nice.When i was taken to the back they offered me a warm blanket,pillows,tv remote but i was still a nervous wreck. Then i met Veronica she is so amazing very sweet and so funny!! She made me laugh so much i even forgot i was at the dentist for a bit. Very disappointed. I purchased a discount voucher for a teeth whitening. I have a regular dentist I have been seeing for 20 years but this whitening offer I could not refuse. When I came in, the staff was amazing, friendly, and the office had a beautiful atmosphere. They took me in to mold my teeth for my whitening trays but also gave me a complimentary (and mandatory to receive my discount product) dental exam. They came back to tell me I needed 5 cavities filled and a crown. They showed me the xray and I couldn't make heads or tails of it but was in absolute shock. I see my dentist regularly and am very rigid about my dental hygiene. I went back to my "regular" dentist and had Xrays taken, which told a different story. I had NOT ONE cavity! I am very disappointed and appalled by the dishonesty. GET A SECOND OPINION!!!! read more

I'm just writing in regards to the comment from the dentist. i had already stated that I was making monthly payments so to insinuate that I was a customer who doesn't pay in a timely manner or has overdue bills is passing the buck for the administrators aggressive behavior. I was not overdue and was making payments. Also, we are not talking about thousands of dollars in bills here. It was probably $600 at the highest point and included things like the gum treatments that are always recommended but never covered by insurance. I will also say that I found a list of at least 20 other dentists immediately who actually fell into my insurance plan when I did decide to switch. The fees at Blanco are more pricey then many other dentists in Salinas. Again, top-notch dentists but I said that in the first place. It's not rocket science so I guess I will go with the dentists who are covered by my insurance instead and don't hassle me on a daily basis with phone calls demanding money. read more

The dentist assistant who did my teeth, Candy, asked me to take big inhalations of Nitrous Oxide and kept the tank on DURING THE WHOLE TIME of the cleaning, which caused me to have a panic attack, which went on for hours and hours. Dear Dr. Partridge and Staff, I would like to say THANK YOU for the wonderful job you did on my husband's teeth. For over 15 years Wayne had struggled with his fear of going to the dentist. Because of his fear he was not able to go for his routine check-ups and cleanings. The repercussions of him not going regularly to the dentist caused him decay and loss of teeth which greatly affected his self-esteem. In all of our family pictures you could see just half of a smile. Then about 8 years ago, we met a wonderful gentleman by the name of Mr. Allison who came into Wayne's job of employment. Over the years Mr. Allison became a regular at Wayne's work and in no time he became family. As the relationship developed Mr. Allison felt comfortable enough to ask Wayne about his teeth. In doing so he learned about Wayne's fear of the dentist and how his appearance deteriorated. Mr. Allison mentioned that there was a dentist in the area who did sleep dentistry and that could really benefit him. He then proceeded to tell Wayne that if he could find a dentist he was comfortable enough with he would be willing to help him out financially. And that is how we came about your practice. From the day Wayne came into your practice he felt nervous and scared, but had a sense of safety. We decided to proceed with your practice and over the last 2 years have finally completed Wayne's new smile. It is without a doubt a beautiful smile at that. Some would say picture perfect. I have found my dental care home. This place really is as good as it gets! They treat you with respect and make you as comfortable as possible. I drive 30-35 minutes to visit this clinic and that speaks volumes. It's the only thing I go to Salinas for. There are plenty of dental offices closer to home. I never look forward to visiting the dentist, but at least I don't dread it as much as I used to! They were really accomodating when I experienced a bit of an emergency as well.
