I was feeling pain to one of my molars. Called Next Dentistry (at the suggestion of my husband who is also a patient there and has nothing but positive things to say) and the staff who were super sweet were able to get me in the same day as a new patient, and then scheduled me for a deep clean (with Candy) and fill (with Dr. Vasquez) within two weeks. Bri did the intake and asked what was most important to me as a new patient. I said feeling comfortable. And, they've definitely made sure I feel comfortable. During my deep clean Candy made sure that I was feeling okay as she completed the procedure, and even gave me a blanket (how sweet!). She was super informative and thorough. Dr. Vasquez was very thorough, informative, and honest. She let me know from the first day the type of work I needed and made recommendations as to future procedures. I will be following her advise. Update: the providers here are great but Beware surprise billing! They had me sign an agreement that itemized their billing prior to any treatment, which was really nice, however 7 months after a cleaning I received a surprise $360 bill. When I called to ask about it, they said their previous billing staff no longer works there and said I'm stuck with the bill. No real explanation other than I was lied to by previous staff. I asked how is that fair to me? The person on the other end didn't really seem to care. I'm sad because I really liked this office but I'm on the fence about returning now. I drive 45 minutes each way to go to this dentist because I consider them my luxury dentist. They are really nice and accommodating, they set me up with a blanket and headphones and tv and sunglasses and chapstick and they use gas if you ask, so the generally awful experience of being at the dentist is made as comfortable as it can be. I'm afraid to go anywhere closer to me because I'm not willing to downgrade. Also, they have a new hygienist I think her name is Bree or something, and she remembered me and was really sweet. All of the hygienists are. The dentist is nice too. If something doesn't feel right they all take it seriously and are very responsive. read more

This was my first deep cleaning with Next Dentistry. All of the persons in the facility are wonderful, but the care that was given by Candy during my visit was impeccable. She was very nurturing and welcoming. She walked me through every step of the way, checking in to make sure the comfort was still there during her cleaning routine. She provided a blanket, massage selection on chair, and headphones to accommodate me. After the cleaning was done she instructed me how to keep my teeth clean longer by demonstrating flossing techniques. At the end she provided a warm towel to soothe and clean my face from any mess that occurred during the cleaning routine. I was so happy after my visit. I definitely recommended Next Dentistry to everyone and I tell my friends/family every time they ask. I forgot the names of the ladies that assisted me in the previous visits but they were too nice as well. I took my daughter here when we got new insurance and her pediatric dentist asked us to take her to a new doctor. We saw Doctor David.... In her whole life she's never had any cavities and on the first visit we where told she had 8!!!!!! Something in my gut told me not to trust it, so I took her to get a second opinion. She STILL DOESNT HAVE CAVITIES. They where going to preform work on my daughter that wasn't needed. He was recommending to drill into my daughters good teeth. That is totally unethical. read more

For starters I have not been to the dentist in years. The dentist was the boogeyman to me growing up but I'd figure I needed to touch base with one again since I was having problems. I went to lunch with a friend. We were talking about our dentist experiences. I told her about Dr. Hemingway's office. From the minute you walk in the door the staff does all they can to make you feel comfortable. Offering you coffee, tea, cold drinks. They take you to a room, set you in the chair. They offer you headphones and move the hanging television into your view. Next comes the remote, and a warm blanket. She turns on the message chair. She puts chap stick on your lips. Laughing gas comes next. When you are done, she gives you a wet face cloth. Aspirin comes next, month rinse, and a prescription for pain pills if you need them. I have finished my process and all I can say is I was so blessed my dentist recommend Dr.Hemmingway. My TMJ has been 99.9% fixed. My symptoms are gone and I feel like an entirely different person. Update June 2020: The new healthcare safety fee is totally fine and understandable but it is unethical not to notify patients prior to their appointment that they will be charged a fee that insurance does not cover. They did not do this and rather waited till after my appointment and blindsided me with a surprise fee which again is very unethical for a business to do. Attention front staff: please notify all patients of this new fee prior to their appointment so they are not blindsided thank you. Normally I would give this place 3.5/4 stars. Staff is always friendly, doctor seems fine, the hygienists are fabulous. Today, I experienced an American Horror Story teeth cleaning. Unbeknownst to me the hygienists are out on Fridays and subs fill in. Well, this particular sub was a nice woman, but violent in my mouth. I was terrified the entire time as I watch her soak up my blood with gauze throughout the cleaning. This was a simple 6 month cleaning and there shouldn't be blood pouring out of someone's gums. This wasn't a little, oh I need to floss better blood. I was actually injured in multiple places on my gum line. I was afraid to eat afterward and am seriously concerned about getting an infection in my mouth or worse that bacteria entered my bloodstream through one of the wounds which can occur. Google it. I'm in pain and took some Ibuprofen and pain killers, on top of multiple salt water rinses. Warning: Do not get your teeth cleaned on a Fridays as the normal staff hygienists are out that day. In my almost 40 years on this earth, I have never had this issue. I have good teeth and have had no major issues only the occasional small cavit read more

My wife convinced me to go to the dentist after I took a long leave from my dental hygiene. Right when you walk into Next Dentistry you can tell this place is different. It's a very warm, relaxing waiting area. Once I was called in to have them check out my oral situation, I was sold. They work with the most up to date, state of the art equipment!! While your getting your work done, you have earphones and a drop down TV so you can relax and take your mind off the procedure. One of the biggest fear for me was a needle in my mouth. Next dentistry has (I don't even know what you call it?! Lol) basically an electric, pressure sensitive needle do-hicky. You didn't even feel the needle go in!!! Before you know it you're numb and watching ESPN. Haha!! Dr Hemingway is an amazing, caring doctor whose personality and style is seen through his staff as well as his work. I bet their receptionists are constantly telling the patients tthat they made it; that they are indeed at a dental office. Why? Because it looks like a ultra elegant law office. They offer free water, juice or herb tea that you can sip while you wait. Then when you are called to have your work done you are led down a beautiful hall with statues and plaques that look very professional. When you are sat down they give you bose head phones and give you a TV remote. With a huge flat screen mounted on the ceiling you are swept off to "la la land" and you no longer care what the dentist does to your teeth once the gas is placed gently on your nose. Dr. Hemingway and Dr. Mike are great Dentists. I highly recommend them. They have this amazing machine called a cerec ( I probably spelled that wrong). It allows them to do the work in one day that typically took a return visit. Five Stars place and Five star service. I wish we had the option to give more than five stars because Next Dentistry deserves six. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Hemingway for years. I have paid thousands of dollars worth of work that I happily paid out of pocket for knowing I was being well taken care of. I never had any issues with the handful of crowns he has done on me. I cannot say that I've received the same care or quality of work since he has left. Long story short, I needed a partial crown. Weeks later I'm having pain in that same area but was told it was the tooth behind it that needed a crown. I go in to get that done to be told that the partial cracked and I need full crowns on both. I get both crowns and still in excruciating pain. The pain that I was experiencing was ignored multiple times. I was denied pain meds and antibiotics. Turns out I need a root canal on one of them. My endodontist gives me antibiotics because there was in fact an infection. I get the root canal done and still in pain! I go back to my endodontist thinking he did something wrong but everything was good on his end. He said my gums have looked irritated. Maybe food is getting stuck. I get a second opinion somewhere else and there was so much cement left over from the crowns that was cutting into my gums and was left with another infection that I needed antibiotics for again! The cement had to be dug and scraped out from underneath my gums. Not to mention, the crowns are not fitted properly and will most likely need to be replaced. I have been dealing with this for the entire year of 2022 and out another couple thousand dollars. I was unable to be seen after expressing my concerns and there seemed to be no urgency on their end to help resolve this issue. The girls at the front have always been amazing to me and I will continue to see Candy for my cleanings since she is phenomenal, but as far as seeing a dentist there, I have taken my care elsewhere. read more
