Dr Grant Rosen is one of the best Dentists ever. I am a retired Oral surgeon from the Midwest and find his work to be excellent. He is true artist.He is very kind great personality spends lots of time with each patient. He is so careful to make sure you are never in pain. Our whole family recently made the switch over to Salinas Dental Health and have been SO pleased with our experience. There is little to no wait time upon arriving at our scheduled appointments. Appointments are quick and easy. Every single staff member we engaged with is warm and knowledgeable. A huge win for us is that our kids (11, 8 - we hope to get our 4 year old in soon) all feel really comfortable and at ease when being seen here. We've seen all the dentists and they're all equally great! Their team is always up front and transparent with their findings and if there's any intervention needed, we never feel forced into anything and the front desk is always happy to give pricing/quotes while explaining exactly what's getting billed for. Our 11 year old recently had to get 4 extractions (due to having a small mouth and ortho requested to get them extracted) and Dr. Coe was the GOAT. It was our son's first experience at the dentist for extractions and general anesthesia, and he said he didn't feel anything at all! Dr. Coe (and the whole staff honestly) walked us through everything, made our son feel safe, secure, and seen. What more can you ask for? I found Salinas Dental Health thanks to their Yelp reviews and they happened to be in network for my insurance. Unfortunately my appointment was not a great experience. They were not able to see me until about 35 minutes after my appointment and eventually my hygienist said she ran out of time and was not able to finish my cleaning. I ended up seeing Dr. Andreson but the cleaning was incomplete and they wanted me to come back. Because of this experience I decided I needed to find another dentist. I decided not to leave a negative Yelp review until the following happened. I logged into Credit Karma and saw that my score had dropped by 27 points due to a collection agency!! I called Salinas Dental and they said they sent me a bill for my account that happened to get rejected by the postal service. Because of this they deleted my address in their system. No phone calls or anything to let me know I owe anything so I find out the hard way, on my Credit Karma credit report, and have to deal with a collection agency. All they had to was make a phone call to me and leave a message. Or not assume my address was wrong and not send me bills. I paid the collection agency right away since I take my credit seriously and wanted it to go away. I decided to call the insurance company because I was wondering why I owed this amount of money and they said that by law they were only supposed to bill me $59.40 ($50 deductible plus 20% of something else). Instead I was told by Salinas Dental that I had to pay $181.60 on top of the $50 deductible I had already payed...plus $20 interest for this whole time. I called to let them know about this "law" that should be common sense to them. They finally called back and said it was their error and that the collection agency would refund the payment and delete the derogatory mark from my credit report (and they did not even apologize). Imagine if I never looked into this with the insurance company and was out this money and negative credit hit? Unprofessional. Beware! read more

I'm guilty of not going to the dentist for a few years because I'm afraid of getting a bad Doctor (thank you Yelp for saving me numerous times). Anyway, upon recommendation of a few people my dad ended up coming here, then my mom, and my sister and I joined the bandwagon. The funny part is that I've run into many people here including a previous employer, my cousin, my neighbor, old classmate, former teacher, you get the point. Dr. Andresen is a very patient and caring person, it's lucky for the people of Salinas he became a dentist. Once I had a pair of cavities BETWEEN two teeth! How he got those filled is an amazing mystery. He worked carefully thru this procedure constantly checking with me for pain or discomfort. He and his assistant Dagmar completed this without causing any any pain. I should say the whole office has been great, hygienists too. Other family members see Dr. Mah (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) and things go very well for them as well. Once she helped me in an emergency an I was very grateful. I had a horrible toothache and was referred by my boss to see Dr. Rosen. I called to make an appointment and they took me in the same day. The office is warm, clean and very welcoming. The staff is friendly, very professional and helpful. I don't know how to describe Dr. Rosen because he's just that good. It was my first visit to him and he made me feel like he was a long lost uncle. He is sooooo nice, has a nice sense of humor and takes the bad out of a dental checkup (because really, who likes to go to the denstist?) I had my first appt w/ Dr Rosen last weekend, and brought my 18 mo old with me. Wow! Dr Rosen was super friendly, and said I was doing a great job keeping my teeth clean. When it came time to take X-rays and my daughter couldn't be in the room, they brought out a toy box, put it right outside my room, and Dr Rosen actually sat on the floor and played with her while his hygienist (I'm so sorry, it started w/ a 'Y' but I don't remember her name) took my X-rays. In 1981, I was recommended to take my son to Dr. Andresen by a colleague of his from dental college. Although he's not a pediatric dentist, his calm and gentle demeanor won my 2 year-old over as he sat on my lap in the dental chair.
