He immediately escalated, claiming it would "destroy" his machines and could ruin other customers' cars for days. I calmly offered a simple solution--let me wipe the headlights myself before going through. Instead, he launched into a long, angry, rambling lecture. I asked for a refund. He said yes, abruptly walked into the building, and left me standing outside while an employee tried to justify the situation. I eventually went inside and again confirmed I would be refunded. As of tonight, no refund has been issued. After reading other reviews, it's clear this kind of behavior from the owner is not an isolated incident. Multiple customers describe similar rude, confrontational treatment. We left and went to Smitty's Car Wash on 16 near H-E-B--cheaper, newer, better equipment, better vacuums, and genuinely friendly staff. Night-and-day difference. If you expect basic professionalism and respect, I recommend spending your money elsewhere.

He pulled his truck up to the driveway, and I backed the car per his direction. He did a great job - super clean inside and out. Not a spot was missed. My only regret is that I parked under a tree, so I had some spots later on the windshield from that, but it was not his fault. I'd avoid doing that. It was pretty expensive, but it seems like all the detail services are. Not something I would do all the time, but for getting my car in great shape I'll definitely call 5 Star again.
