I drove all the way to New Shine to have my car washed. It was a bright and sunny outside. I arrived to find a couple of people sitting in the office who told me they'd closed "due to the weather earlier." It had literally sprinkled in the morning and this was late afternoon around 4. These guys are the best. I have yet to come across a car wash that takes so much pride in their work. They are honest, conscientious, and it's clear how hard they work. Customer service is nice, especially once they get to know you. Just make sure you don't come in last minute and request time-consuming jobs because they do close at 5. They usually take their last jobs around 4 or 430, depending on the amount of work that's required and what's requested. They do complete exterior washes (anywhere from $25 to $45 for complete packages), tire dressing, wax jobs, seat cleanings, carpet shampooing, and complete detail jobs. read more

Holy Cow!!! After the twelve hour drive to San Antonio, here I think I caught every bug flying into my grill, so I needed those flattened bugs off before they became part of the vehicle forever! So, I found this place on Yelp and thought I would give them a try. Not much to see, total dive, but they provide a lovely little shaded place to sit and wait, or walk over to one of places to eat...either way, it took 45-minutes and when they were done my car was pristine!! It looked like new and the interior was immaculate...I chose the $45 package, which is SOOOO much cheaper than from where I am visiting...my car was ready to roll!! I have been to quite a few car wash spots in SA. I can never find one that actually does a good legit job. I have never been able to rate a car wash spot more than 2 stars because that's how bad they usually are. This place tho, 5 STARS!!! This is by far the best car wash ever. My biggest pet peeve is paying $20 or more and having areas in my car untouched, water drips, or my mats not placed back inside properly. I can tell you that I found absolutely nothing to complain about. And that's a lot coming from someone who's OCD and notices almost every little detail. Went here right after a storm, they were not busy. For $18 hand washed my car, washed and dried the rubberized floor mats, cleaned the inside perfectly. The returned it after 20 minutes, dried ready to roll. No missed spots as is all done by hand. It is not like a chain car wash, very bare bones on customer amenities, no coffee, air fresheners for sale, not a trendy hangout. Their customer service rocks. I got my car detailed, which included interior carpet shampoo, deep leather cleaning, and of course interior glass and dashboards, exterior also included deep waxing. Although it wasn't cheap, it was done with the level of detail worth paying for. I dropped the car off in the morning and the owner took me to work, which was very convenient and avoided the cab expense. These guys do an above and beyond job in comparison to the larger overpriced car washes in town. The two bay-run down exterior initially made me think twice about dropping off my BMW, but the other vehicles they detailed looked very good. I chose this place any time I want my car looking excellent for a night out. A serial without hand was runs me under $50 which is well worth it when you see the final product. The guys are friendly and there is a pretty good Mexican restaurant around the corner if you wait on site. Expect an hour or more wait as this location stays busy from a constant flow of satisfied customers. read more

This place does take awhile but the attention to detail is stellar. For 27 bucks they give an amazing wash and a phenomenal interior dressing. So they definitely earn a tip.
