I've been holding this off for yearrrrrrrs but my time ran out. I was in endless pain, sporadically cranky and unable to eat or drink anything hot or cold. These two woman took my blood pressure prior to extraction. It was out the ceiling so they suggested I wait a few minutes to get my nerves calmed down. Thankfully it went down. I did not have any anesthesia. Took it like a G. It did take me a good full week to feel back normal but I would not have had any other dentist do this but these two. I highly recommend them for cleanliness, professionalism, post-op explanation and overall friendliness!

Hygenist Barbara, too, is confident, calm, gentle but thorough with the cleanings -- and kind. From the minute you walk in the door, you feel a vibrant energy here. There is no drama or anxiety (see my review of Murray Dental), like you can feel at other dental offices. And no one is trying to get you to agree to unneccessary procedures. Dr. Kaufman and his team focus on preventive approaches. A friend recommended this dental group and I, in turn, recommended that two (now) satisfied patients transfer from other offices. He is apparently the dentist that other dentists go to see when they need work done. As a kid, my dentist was really crappy. In college it seemed like the dentist was always trying to get me to do something that was more expensive. Thats not the case with Dr. Kaufman. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and especially the quality of his work. When getting my crowns done he spent in an incredible amount of time getting them to be perfect. I could tell that he cared intensely about the quality of his work, and would simply not let me leave his office without getting things just right. This is the first positive experience I have had with any dentist and I cannot recommend Dr. Kaufman highly enough.

During COVID you are asked to call from the parking lot. Upon entering a long hallwaty, but before you get to the office, you will be asked to hand sanitize. You then enter a door to a very pleasant, relaxing waiting room where chairs are social distant. Don't get too comfortable because they are definitely on time. The office itself has several private rooms where your exam and cleaning will take place. I like this. Cleaning is such a personal thing and many of us still have areas where our dental hygene needs improvement. I preferred to be told in private. I learned that when you floss, it is not good enough to simply go up and down, but that you should go around the top of each tooth so that ALL the yuck is removed. I had a very thorough cleaning by Debbie who explained everything. She cared about my comfort but I was fine. There were a couple areas of concern but this practice takes a wait and see attitude with problems that might resolve themselves on their own with a little help from me. Everything they did and said made sense. It is hard to find a new dentist even when you are increasingly dissatisfied with your old one. I am so glad that we are now patients of Dental Associates and Dr. Parsons. I HIGHLY recommend them even if you have to drive a little bit to get to them. Now that I have been there, I would drive alot to see them.

When we arrived, an employee named Doris Vest was attempting to pronounce my father's name, Berhe, and instead referred to him as "butthead." She claimed she was joking because she couldn't pronounce his name, but I found that comment disrespectful and unprofessional, especially in a healthcare setting where patients should be treated with dignity and respect. I immediately requested a different staff member and was assisted by Bella, who was kind, professional, and completely changed the atmosphere of the visit. I also brought the situation to the attention of Austin and Dr. Maria because I felt it was important for management to be aware of what occurred. While I appreciate Bella's professionalism and the office's willingness to switch staff members, the initial interaction left a very negative impression. Patients should never feel disrespected because of their name or background. I hope the office addresses this issue and provides better customer service training moving forward.
