Apparently Dr. Blank works magic, because it really wasn't a painful procedure in the least. He did a wonderful job, and I would recommend him/his practice to anyone. I still have appointments on a yearly basis for them to check my gums, and the staff is amazing. The office is a bit small, but it is clean and efficient. As a side note, Dr. Blank is really a funny guy. He prides himself in being the self-proclaimed "best" at what he does. I won't disagree with him, he's pretty amazing!

Recently had a scaling and planing procedure done with Dr. Alan Levy. He not only has a wonderful…read morebedside manner (very kind, gentle, cheery and funny) but he has been an oral surgeon for 30 years and he knows his "stuff!" I was very afraid of the procedure (blood and gore and pain) and he assured me that there would be very little blood, that he would give me numbing shots for the pain and that the pain would be minimal after the procedure. The numbing shots did hurt a bit (when doesn't a shot hurt, right?) but as soon as I was all numb, he went to work and expertly did his procedure. Afterward when I was getting ready to leave, I noticed a bigger bit of blood and mentioned it and he put me right back in the operative chair and looked into my mouth to discover a few blood clots that he suctioned out. Bleeding practically non-existent after that. Pain level was low enough that I didn't need to even take Tylenol. His office is efficient, clean and a nice place to be if one has to visit an oral surgeon. I recommend him unreservedly.

There is no drama or anxiety (see my review of Murray Dental), like you can feel at other dental offices. And no one is trying to get you to agree to unneccessary procedures. Dr. Kaufman and his team focus on preventive approaches. A friend recommended this dental group and I, in turn, recommended that two (now) satisfied patients transfer from other offices. He is apparently the dentist that other dentists go to see when they need work done. As a kid, my dentist was really crappy. In college it seemed like the dentist was always trying to get me to do something that was more expensive. Thats not the case with Dr. Kaufman. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and especially the quality of his work. When getting my crowns done he spent in an incredible amount of time getting them to be perfect. I could tell that he cared intensely about the quality of his work, and would simply not let me leave his office without getting things just right. This is the first positive experience I have had with any dentist and I cannot recommend Dr. Kaufman highly enough.

The office relocated a few years ago from the original Stoneridge location in Gahanna. I'm a regular if you can be one. I have to get my teeth cleaned 3-4 times / year because I have excessive tartar...its genetic. I've been to 5 hygienists in there and each one has been trained well. They are extremely cordial, knowledgeable, upbeat, and always looking to please the patient. When I get my teeth cleaned, I lay on a warm lavender pillow and if I'm cold, they give me a blanket. Who knew you could fall asleep while getting your teeth cleaned? They can use the ultrasonic on you, but also uses the old-fashioned scraper thing for your teeth if you can't handle the high-pitched tones. On some days, I can't handle it. I also had my mercury amalgams removed and this was painless and well worth it. And lastly, I've recently upgraded my crowns. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. They made the molds, made the temps and then sent me over to the lab to get custom ceramics. And then promptly called me to 'seat' them. My teeth have never looked more perfect. If only I give up the coffee and wine, then they would look even better!
