I'm familiar with Record Stop, I go to a vinyl night every two weeks with members of a facebook group called 8 o'clock shot and the guy who spins records Tom sort of represents record stop. I had been here once in the summer but didn't really get a chance to properly look around. I love records but I only have one. I'm trying my hardest to not collect much because currently I live in a small space and when my son and I can move out of my father's house we'll still be living in a small space. It was still nice to browse the records for sale. They also have other music related merchandise besides records. Tons of musical action figures, a small selection of books, T-shirts, patches. I bought my boyfriend a Kiss Flask for his birthday. His birthday isn't until August but sometimes you see something early and you just need to grab it. I'll also be buying him more than just a flask but for now it's a good start on a birthday that's still a few months away. And I was happy to purchase something to give record stop some business. The flask was also a pretty decent price giving me more budget room to buy other things. If you're around Patchogue and you're a music lover or a vinyl lover record stop is the place to go!

This record shop is also a spirituality shop and sells crystals, natural remedies, teas, and tinctures. The owner of the shop, Mike, opened Buddha Belly Records in January 2024. The records, both new and used, are carefully curated, organized, and fairly priced. Great selection of jazz, soul, rock, and everything in between - there's something for everyone here. I could easily spend hours digging here, but with my wife waiting in the car - I had 30 minutes to dig. Dig through the "New Arrivals" section and you will find a ton of gems - I saw a few Japanese pressings in there. The inventory here is priced to move - if you see something you like, I would jump on it before someone else does. There's a lounge in the back where the shop also hosts tarot card reading classes. With it being the newest location to pop up in the state, they've got fresh inventory so it's great to find things that have been harder to find in other FYE's or other stores in general. Returned it and got another one just for it to have only one channel playing. Paid $75 plus tax for it. When I went to return it I used $60 for records and the rest was to be paid out in cash yet I didn't receive back the tax I paid in my refund so they profited $8 and change off me. Really not happy I had to drive an hour 3 separate times to return a tape deck twice that didn't work when everything is guaranteed to work and I didn't even get back the full amount I paid.
