I had an awful experience on my Blazer's taxi from Stowe Vermont to Shelburne. It cost around $154 dollars including a 20% tip and took almost an hour and a half. The driver showed up 15 minutes late to my house, then stopped for a 5 minute gas break in town. The entire ride he played loud heavy metal. He was a very nice guy and I got along well with him, but the service was terrible. Perviously I had taken an Uber from Stowe to Burlington and it not only cost $56 dollars, but the car was quiet, calm, and the driver was polite and got me there in 45 minutes. If you can help it, do not take Blazer taxis. read more

If there was a 6 stars option I'd chose it. This was the best experience of any car services I have ever dealt with. My family frequently flys back and forth from Florida to Burlington via Plattsburg (because its cheaper) and we always contact blazer to pick us up at the Grand Isle ferry and they are always there waiting patiently even if we are running late via ferry. I give Blazer 1 star for getting my wife and I home safely from the airport, and I give them 1 star for charging us $3 less than what Benway's charged 5 days earlier for the exact same trip. They lose 1 star for the driver's awkward political conversation (I didn't ask you what you thought of the mayor or city counselor, so please don't share your critical opinion). Terrible customer service. I called to book a trip from Burlington to Stowe and the gentleman on the other end of the call was extremely rude. I called and he answer "Hello." Not knowing if I had the correct number I asked "Is this Blazer Transportation?" He responded "Who is this?". So again I tried, "Is this Blazer Transportation, I may have the wrong number." He continued his childish antics and said "Who is this, I asked who you are?". I was not going to give my name to some random person, so I refused unless he confirmed he was a company. I ended up getting hung up on. I doubled check my call log to make sure I had the correct number and I did. I was so infuriated and disturbed that someone could run a business in this manner that I had to try again. 15 minutes later I called back to confirm that this person is just an awful business owner. He did answer and identify himself this time but was extremely rude and demanded my information. I only told him that I was a potential customer and he continued to treat me rudely and eventually hung up on me. If this is the first impression they like to give people then I would hate to see what their customer service is like. STAY AWAY!!! read more

THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP. Three groups of me and my friends reserved three different taxis several days in advance of the night we needed to be picked up. Blazer said "sure, no problem." One of my friends received a confirmation text and I called the afternoon of just to be sure and confirm. When the taxis were running 20 minutes late, I tried calling Blazer and NO ONE PICKED UP. After 40 minutes of waiting, my group was lucky enough to find a sober ride home. I found out the next morning that the other two groups had to wait, in the cold, to sober up and drive home. Blazer never showed, never called. It would be one thing if we had called an hour before we needed a taxi or even the afternoon of. BUT WE HAD RESERVATIONS FOR DAYS AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT AFTERNOON. Never using Blazer again and would NEVER recommend the company to anyone else. read more

Driver trespassed on private property where no one had requested a ride. He was idling and blocking traffic. Upon approach he was extremely rude and was cursing and harassed an older woman who asked why he was in their driveway. Possibly belligerent. Vehicle had strong odors and driver looked disheveled. Terrible and unsafe service. For your safety, DO NOT HIRE THEM. We reserved Blazer for a pick-up from BTV to Waitsfield. Do not be fooled by their friendly demeanor on the telephone. Despite having a GPS, the driver could not find the address (which was ON MAIN STREET), and was unwilling to driver her further, leaving her on the side of the highway AT MIDNIGHT. Entirely unsafe for woman or man. In addition, he blasted music the entire time despite her requests for him to turn the music down or off. When calling to complain, Blazer had no remorse for not knowing how to use a GPS system or find an address that is on MAIN STREET. In addition, they said that the driver is "deaf", so that's why the music was so loud. They went on to say that they tell their drivers to chew ice, leave the windows down, blast the music, anything to stay awake when they are driving at night after a long shift. So they are apparently ENDANGERING their passengers with overworked, exhausted drivers. Unacceptable. read more

Blazer Cab is very dependable with safe drivers. We spend a lot of time in Burlington because our daughter goes to college there. We have used many different cabs, and Blazer is one of our top picks. We have depended on them for our daughter too-especially when she must be at the airport or train station on time. read more

I booked two guests at Blazer Transportation, they took good care of my guests starting from Burlington Airport, to Dinner ( oh, they gave complimentary buffet dinner to my guests, because they saw that the two are deadly tired after 16 hours flight from Honolulu to Burlington) up to accommodation, very well done. It's the worst taxi experience I have ever experienced in my whole life. I just got back from Burlington VT from a ski trip. Two days before we depart (Feb 23th, 2012), I called this Blazer Transportation and made a reservation on Feb, 25th, 2012. We were staying in Bolton Valley and needed to leave around 6am to catch the flight in Burlington airport. The person who confirmed the reservation promised us that the driver will be at the hotel front door no later than 6am. I confirmed again one day before our departure and got the same promise. Then on 25th, the driver was nowhere to be found. I called multiple times and nobody answered the call. Finally, the hotel found a taxi for us around 6:25 and we nearly missed our flight. To anybody who may read this post, stay away from this taxi company. Their promises do not mean anything. read more

Crooks! Charged $17 for a 2.2 mile pick up and drop off in a dirty SUV after being quoted $8.50. Driver was totally unreasonable and rude, when one of the passengers jumped out to inquire about wait time for dinner she would not stop the meter and in a matter of seconds the price jumped from the $8.50 fare we were quoted to $17! We even offered to simply pay double the fair for the return trip in case we couldn't be seated and needed to go home. She said no, that the meter had to keep running! We got out, paying the fare with no tip. Driver was surprised not to get one! read more

I am giving 1 star to this horrible business, if you can call it that. I am warning women, and in particular Black women to be mindful of the male dispatch and driver who is inappropriate when discussing and making arrangements for a shuttle. I was accused of being a thief on a shuttle because he did not have my name. This is not my first time riding with this company and it was not until this year that things became nasty. While I was riding to the airport he asked to speak to every woman on the shuttle. I was dumb enough to do so. He wanted the driver to turn around and go back to the campus. We were at the airport. The driver who was warm and appalled as well told me not to worry. The others on the shuttle were horrified as well. My colleagues felt that I should call the police about his harrassment. I just wanted one thing and that was to go home. So began hours worth of menacing texts (l live on the other side of the country) and I was very forceful in saying to him to stop texting me. When I got home 10 hours later he was still texting. I decided to confront him (by this time I had had enough) to let him know that I know who he is and that he is a racist. This kept him texting my phone. My daughter got angry and blocked him. This is the only way it would have stopped. I believe that he would be still texting me today. He had no right to use my phone number for his private use and to unleash what pov he has and feels toward passengers. I felt sickened by his presence, and the fact that he is tethered to this company. We live in times where folks feel the need to unleash hatred toward others, and put them in jeopardy. Was told cab would pick us up at 5:30 p.m. What happened was cab arrived EARLY but did not notify anyone. Should have at the bare minimum of customer service notified hotel who knew we were waiting. Had to wait until 6:00 p.m. for another cab to take us where we were supposed to be at 6:00 p.m. Owner REFUSED to reduce fare. The drivers are very personable and know how to get around town. Called on Sunday to set up a 4:00am pickup from my house in Stowe to go to Burlington airport. I was informed of my driver's name (Lali) and her phone number. This was to catch the first flight out to be able to connect to the west coast. I work as a consultant, so it is imperative that I show up at my customer site when I am supposed to. This is my livelihood. So, on Monday morning, I get up real early and wait till 4:05am. I called Lali. She said: "You were not picked up? Who was supposed to pick you up?" . I informed her that it was she. To which she responded that she will be right there. I asked her where she was located. To which she replied at Trapps. This is about 20 minutes from my house. Which in turn would mean that I would definately not make it through the long security line at BTV on time to make my flight. There is a small window to catch before 5am, else you have to wait very long. I responded to Lali that she does not need to bother and took my own car to the airport. The plan was not to leave my car at the airport as I will not return to Stowe until after TG. I was also not planning to return driving up with my wife's car from NYC. So I will now need to pay for almost 3 weeks of parking vs. getting reimbursed by my customer for a cab ride to the airport. I have used their service in the past, and it has always been so-so. The driver that usually takes me is friendly enough and seems to always be on time. They like to badmouth their new competition in time, Snowflake taxi. Which I will also not use as they do not call you back and shows up late if they do follow through. Another issue I had before with Blazer is that you could never add the tip to the credit card as the owner would not reimburse the driver. So the driver asked for that in cash. Which also means that I cannot expense that. Needless to say, I will never use this company again. They have no respect for me as as customer. I cannot risk missing a flight. read more

I didn't actually use Blazer. I was driving in Stowe on Sunday Feb 8, 2015. I drove by Cotton Brook (a snowmobile tour place) and a Blazer Truck pulls out behind me. I take a left on Barrows road and drive up the road past Stowe High School. The Blazer guy is tailgating in a 35 mph School zone. I turn right on Luce Hill and then Left on Mountain Rd heading to Stowe Mtn Resort. As I'm driving up the road, Blazer pulls out in front of me causing me to slam on the breaks on icy roads to avoid hitting him. I lay on the horn and he(she?) drives on like nothing happened. The driver raced through the Stowe motel, full of cars to cut me off and there was no cars behind me. I'd never recommend this company locally !!! read more

Be advised, if you take a taxi from Stowe to the airport, they won't actually take you to the airport. They drop you off across the street and you have to walk the rest of the way (across the street, thru the parking garage, past where the REAL taxis line up, and finally to the terminal). I assume they don't want to pay the airport to be able to actually drop off passengers at the airport. Very shady business. Oh and the 3 times I've used them, the cabs are super dirty and smell like air fresheners, cheap cologne, and crappy weed. read more

I was driving and this taxi was tailgating like crazy in pretty questionable VT weather. I went into the lane I needed to (stopped short earlier to try to get him to stop tailgating), and he started screaming at me from his window. I told him if he weren't tailgating so badly he would be able to anticipate lane changes. He proceeded to scream at me for the next mile whenever we were at stoplights, told me he was the owner of the company and to go ahead and call. I would NEVER use this company - based on how he was driving and behaving, he obviously has a severe case of road rage. Don't bother putting your life in danger with this company. And if he really is the owner (doubtful, probably just afraid he would get in trouble), he is doing a horrifying job representing his business. read more

A driver takes my family home last night and the fare is $24.75. He then tacks on another $5.00 for "extra passengers" for 4 people total. I just had the best experience with Blazer cabs! My 22 year old daughter was flying into Burlington for an interview. She was delayed in Chicago and was due to arrive at 3 am! Needless to say I was worried about her traveling alone and safe transportation to her hotel. The Hotel where she was going to stay, suggested I call Blazer. I spoke to Chris and he assured me he would be there to meet her at 3 am. I think he could tell I was nervous and he assured me that he would deliver her safe and sound to her hotel. I had nothing to worry about. Sure enough I got a call from him that her plane had landed and he would wait for her to get her bags from baggage claim. She found him easily and HE texted me after dropping her off to let me know she arrived safe and sound at her hotel. It was definitely worth every penny to have peace of mind. read more

Had to write a review because I was expecting the worst after reading the terrible reviews. Being from NYC, I've had a spectrum of cab experiences, and I have no complaints about Blazer! Our pickup at the airport was punctual and we had no trouble finding our driver, as she was waiting inside for us. She was patient and did not charge extra when when some of our luggage did not show up and we took about 20 minutes sorting things out with the agents at the ticket counter. The cabs are all SUVs which easily held our ski gear and they were clean. For $65 to Stowe, they can't be beat. Would definitely ride with again. read more

The driver was 30 mins late to pick us up, drove way too fast on the way to the destination. When he was supposed to pick us up at the arranged time (we were there 15 mins early) he said we missed the time and he left without us. We called the company who ordered him to come back and pick us up. When we got on the road to head home it was clear he had been drinking, he was swerving all over the road, driving at excessive speeds and even took both his hands off the wheel while we were driving down the interstate. He ignored our attempts to get him to slow down and keep it between the lines. We ended up calling 911 and he was cited and taken to detox blowing a .168. I would NOT EVER call this service again. We called the owner of the company to get our money back for the trip and he refused, complained about us and then hung up on us. We are lucky that we ended up all alive and safe. The attitude of the owner towards us and the severity of the situation makes me not trust his company at all and I suggest you don't put your life in the hands of a company that obviously does not care about the welfare of their customers. read more

The Stowe group is on the fast track to having no customers based on my experience. In addition to being unreasonably rude, they required direction be provide to them, which they frequently scoffed at. Who do you think your customer base is, honestly... and why not invest your price gouging into gps, it's standard on your smart phone, by the way. The final cost of a 4 minute drive was nearly 5 times the cost of Uber, which managed to arrived faster and behave considerately. Surprising your customers with a $16 up charge is immoral. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Waterbury and only needed a cab to drive us literally 1 mile down the street to downtown Waterbury. There were 4 of us in the party. We didn't keep the cab waiting even a minute and we arrived in the cab to find a 7.50 initial charge and he added an additional $6.00 since there were 4 of us (I assume $2 a person over 1 person). The charge was $13.50 before we even left the hotel. It was a 2 minute drive to make the 1 mile downtown and we saw the fare up to $17.00. Then the cab driver ,Norm turned off the meter before we stopped and said it would be $27!!! Apparently there was a $10 additional charge for the company that no one told us about as we entered the cab. $27 for a ride 1 mile down the road with hidden fees and no explanation. We even called the cab company and received no explanation as to the absurd charges and no receipt after we asked for it. Would never ride with this company again- UBER will eventually take over this area as it's much more reasonable. Road with Uber on way home (horrified by the cab experience) and it was $5.00!! Wish there was an Uber available when we looked for the ride downtown. read more

terrible customer service. My colleague and shared a cab from the airport to our separate homes in Burlington. We had spent about 14 hours traveling home after 5 day business conference. We got in about 12:30 am and had to wait for taxis to show up at the airport. Once we got in the cab we didn't really say too much besides our destination. My colleague gave directions to his house once we were nearby and we arrived and the fare was around $15, asked if I was going to be charged $30 or if the meter would start over. When he handed her his money, she said "do you need change or are you tipping?" Once we had dropped him off, the cab driver turned to me and went on for a while about how rude and sarcastic she found my colleague. Not only was this unfounded; it was completely unprofessional. When the driver got to my house I asked for a receipt and she said "you need one too?" When I got out of the cab with my tote bag and laptop bag the driver made no move to help me with my suitcase and just sat in the front and said "you just lift the handle to open the trunk." read more
