When I started looking for a memorial stone, which was very large (10') I went to 4 different places to check out prices. The first one was Hall Monuments. After meeting Brian and discussing things I don't know why I bothered to go to the other places, but I did. Although everyplace I went, I was treated well but price wise Hall was by far the best. After deciding on using Hall Monuments, I sat down with Brian and discussed what I wanted the stone to look like. He advised me on all matters concerning color, style and engraving. When the stone came Brian asked me to come by to discuss it. It was better than I expected but after some very close inspection, when I was not there, Brian found a small crack, which was not noticeable at all. Brian told me that it was unacceptable for him to use the stone and ordered a new one. While waiting for it to come in I must have changed designs 3 or 4 times with Brian always listening and making sure I would be happy. Even when after the stone was set in the cemetery I had to ask for another change before the engraving was done. Again, no problem for him. The monument was better the I expected, and the process was much easier due to the kind, caring and compassion of all at Hall Monuments. As you can tell I would highly recommend using them as I am certain they would take care of you as they did me and my family.

When it came time for me to request a Death Certificate I was told that I would have to order it online. That was very strange and very unprofessional to me. I was told there were 3 of them and another family member had them. I was willing to pay what ever the cost was. A very kind person that worked at the cemetery told me the funeral home gives out 15 at a time, for families that need them to close out banking accounts and for insurance purposes ect. I am totally shocked by the behavior of the Under Taker Michael Lanza who takes pride in his website to tell others how sympathetic he is to grieving families and just shook me off by telling me to order on line. In a time of mourning and grief I would have hoped for him to be more helpful and understanding. People that are in mourning don't deserve to be treated like that. For this one reason I do not recommend this place. I was not trying to go behind anybody's back. I was friends with my ex-husband for over 40 years and I held his hand till he took his last breath so you know nothing about me. How dare you say that about me, you need to respect your elders because one day you're going to be there too. I'm glad to hear that there's no friction in your family.
