After having many terrible experiences at other salons, I decided to try Bleached based on their positive reviews. I had a consultation with Katie and right off the bat I knew she was my girl. I explained what I wanted and she felt confident she could do exactly what that. I quickly scheduled an appointment with her. She is so easy to talk to and such a nice person. She took her time on my hair, it took about 5 hours because I had to have many processes. My hair is naturally very very dark brown. I had it "bleached" (what basically just looked gross unhealthy orange) at Envee prior to coming to Bleached. My goal was to dye my own hair using arctic fox and because of how poorly my hair was "bleached" at Envee, it wouldn't even take the arctic fox color. The colors came out looking awful. So, when I went into Bleached, my hair looked like a mess of turquoise, faded green, and red underneath all that. Even though my hair was a mess, Katie knew exactly how to fix it. She knew more about what I wanted than I did. If you just give her a base idea, she will make you look flawless. Now, my hair looks amazing and I don't think I'll be putting color over it any time soon because it turned out looking so great! I never knew that my hair could get to this color because every other salon I went to told me my hair can't get that light unless I want it completely damaged and it would take a long time to get it that light. But no, Katie has so much confidence and experience that she can basically do anything! My hair looks great and it's still very healthy! (She used Olaplex on my hair to help keep it looking good!) She also trimmed my hair and gave it shape to make my grow out process look better! All in all, I have never had such a great experience at a salon and I will continue to go back any time I need something done with my hair! Much love! I asked for layered bangs and a few highlights. There was a girl there, I think her name was Holly, who layared my whole hair, which I did not ask for, and gave me completely unnatural random streaks. She also kept making remarks about how thick my hair was, which I like, but when I got home I saw that she had thinned out my hair. When my sister got in the chair she couldn't even giver her a simple balayage, so Holly gave her red streaks! Never going here again! read more

I was SO happy to find this salon in Chico, nice and close to Trader Joe's! I am so picky about who touches my hair and I get pretty nervous. The stylist that I had, Katie, was incredible. I was pretty timid about getting a full color change but really wanted to go super blonde for the spring. She was SUPER knowledgeable about what would look best for my complexion and face shape. She took the time to really chat with me to make sure it was the perfect choice. She also did some treatments to make sure my hair wasn't damaged. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone.
