I had coffee here a few weeks ago with a friend and it was amazing! The coffee was nothing short of delicious and the croissant was so light, fluffy and hit the spot! I was excited to try Blend Coffee Bar since it's fairly close to where my parents live. In my view, it's between a 2-3 star place. I bumped it up to a 3 star because the sitting area is so nice and comfy. I was able to get some studying done. I didn't order any sweet treats/baked goods, since I had previously ate a lot for lunch. I ended up getting the largest size of matcha latte. The employee was nice to ask what type of milk I wanted etc within it. My order- The drink was just not blended enough or maybe a better way to put it was that it was barely blended. And come on, this coffee bar is called Blend?! I literally had chunks of matcha with every sip. I ended up having a napkin full of matcha bits by the time I finished the drink. Smh... Sorry the comfiness of this coffee bar, won't entice me to come back and try another drink. I'm going to look for another coffee place next time when in Ashburn,VA. read more

This was a very cute coffee shop with a nice interior. There is some seating and some small eats, but basically coffee is the game. The espresso in my latte was nice; good crema was produced using their la marzocco machine. Unfortunately, the barista's skill didn't match the rest of the effort. He steamed the milk too hot, which resulted in a bitter drink. He tried to draw some latte art but again his skill was limited and so that was a small fail. Overall this could be a great place with some training given to the baristas. read more

Tucked away in a strip mall, this place has a cozy feel. Nice outdoor seating, No parking space issues and a beautiful decor, it's hard to go wrong with this place. Visiti this for a yum coffee or breakfast. I had the cappuccino and everything bagel. Would certainly recommend. read more

[3:25 PM EST] This place is great! Don't get me wrong haha I loved my order (iced vanilla latte with oat milk), but why was my order $7.05 for 1 small (16 oz.) latte?? I tried looking online for menu item prices, but I suspect that the reason my latte was priced so high was perhaps the oat milk. Maybe I'm just used to Charlottesville coffee prices where the most I've payed for an iced latte is 5.25, but I was a tad shocked. It was made very well though and was almost comparable to the iced oat milk latte that I get at my favorite spot in Richmond, VA (Blanchard's coffee), hence my 4-star review! I would definitely come here again, but will probably forgo the oat milk next time :) read more

What all the coffee-obsessed want to know is NOT whether there is WiFi or the existence of super old-reclaimed-wood vibe in the interior (important i know)... BUT... "do they have good selection of beans" and what kind of preparation do they offer?!? I know... I read so many reviews about the cost of lattes and decoration but NO ONE talked about the roast!?! They seem to offer single origin beans as well as blends! I tried their Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and it was slightly floral with decent acidity and a nice nuttiness that shines through when the coffee cools a bit. They also have a Mexico Chippas and house blends etc. The description on the bag left a lot of questions unanswered... but I digress... Their preparation could be a bit tighter... I guess that will always depend on the experience and knowledge of the barista when you walk through the door. Mine switched the carafe after rinsing the paper filter... so put a cold carafe under... and the pour over was well over 3min... so some of the bitter notes came through... but You know that's my fault for being this obsessed... sorry :( The beans tasted past peak (but I usually don't expect it from stores that don't roast their own beans). But the great news is that they offer pour over coffee as well as a variety of roasts and the atmosphere is perfect! They have live music on certain nights and it's one of the better coffee shops in Ashburn area! I will be back! read more

I was in Ashburn and when looking for coffee shops around me, Blend Coffee Bar was first on the list. Having looked through their pictures, I was so excited to check them out. Unfortunately, their decor and friendly employees were the only things I truly enjoyed. They offer plenty of seating be it for a quick morning coffee, chit-chat date for friends or long laptop sessions. Their decor is accentuated by wooden tables and what looks like "medieval-like" chandeliers hahaha. I had a hazelnut coffee and while it wasn't terrible, unfortunately it tasted like it had way too much milk and barely any espresso. The lady at the register was super friendly. I wouldn't go back unless I'm nearby. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. The shop is located on the corner of the building. There was plenty of parking. The space has windows on two sides, so it was well lit. Lots of seating options. I ordered a chai latte with almond milk and got a chocolate chip cookie that was an impulse buy at the counter. I sat on one of the couches while I waited for my drink. When I got it, it was a good temperature and pretty foamy. There was a heavy sprinkle of cinnamon on top. The overall flavor of the drink was anise. I actually couldn't taste anything other than that flavor of this drink. I can't say that I'd get this again. The cookie was good though and it seemed like this place is really popular. read more

Blend's got potential--good coffee, cozy atmosphere--but the customer service? Oof. The girls at the counter feel forced to greet with a "hello" forget a smile or have a nice day. Very cute Ashburn area cafe. My favorite spot to catch up with old friends. The baristas are extremely friendly and willing to recommend the new drink they have and are trying. They have a very vide variety of flavors as well as indoor and outdoor seating to suit you depending on the weather. They also have a swing which is just plain awesome. read more

I've been here a couple times already. It's such a nifty little spot in Ashburn. I really only ordered the coffee here I haven't explored and tried other drinks. The coffee is okay... It was good the first couple times but then the last time I had it it tasted like it was sitting out for a while. The ambience is really nice... it's not the typical modern coffee shop. It has interesting decoration and seating. They're sitting in the front of the shop in the back of the shop as well as outside. They have pastries available but I haven't tried that either. My friend and I really just come for the coffee and for the ambience and location. read more

So much flavor!!! The savory waffle has a great sauce that doesn't overpower the waffle but adds a perfect amount of flavor to the already delicious meal. Also, the Egg Sammy was a good portion and had really good quality sausage with fresh spinach. Also, the drinks are well made. The gingerbread latte is on point with its gingerbread spices. The vanilla and caramel flavors complement each other nicely in the vanilla caramel latte. Although it isn't close by, I will definitely be going back! read more

Blend has become my weekly treat! This cute little shop is located in a shopping center area on a corner unit! What's great about this location is a large outdoor seating area! The first time I visited this coffee bar, I was surprised at the menu. While I have not tried anything other than coffee, they do offer food items, wine, and teas. Inside, they have seating in the open area as well as seating near the rear. One day I came in for coffee, and they were hosting an event that included a young lady singing on stage. It was soooo great to come in for coffee and listen to her sing. The staff is amazing and they offer a rewards program for visits. Near the front door, you will notice a ton of flyers for local events! Blend reminds you of a mom & pop shop (that tend to be few and far between these days)! Some of my favorites include their Mellow Morning roast, Blueberry Latte, and Honey & Cardamon Latte. They have several medium roast coffees that are just amazing. If you're in the area, or simply looking for a great cup of coffee, Blend is your place! Enjoy! read more

Walking in, I was greeted with a friendly smile. I ordered my coffee to stay and was asked if I would like it in a mug or a paper cup, which I appreciated. There are a lot of tables, not that many outlets, and it can get filled up quickly during peak hours. A lot of natural light flows through the large windows, and I would have stayed longer, but after only a little bit of sitting, I was freezing. Some larger named coffee shops do that on purpose so that patrons won't sit and stay that long, but I wish smaller ones wouldn't do it also. read more

I can't tell if I like the drinks here or not...like they're watery but kind of flavorful? I had both the mocha and green tea latte with almond milk and it honestly tasted just like hot milk with a little flavor. My boyfriend got a mocha and cortado and thought everything was great. Even had their banana gluten free bread and it was moist but dry? But great ambiance and everyone is super friendly. Blend Coffee Bar was a welcome sight after a long trip. It is so welcoming and inviting and staff was great. I was the annoying customer who couldn't decide on what to order and both servers available were patient and kind. They also listened to what I was in the mood for and made suggestions based on how much sweetness, caffeine, or type of beverage I was interested in. I did find my drip coffee a bit burnt, as other reviewers have said, and the triple latte I had was almost perfect, if a tad bit heavy on the milk. The cafe itself is dimly lit and very cold, so not sure I could stay any longer than I did to study or work, and I had to keep my coat on the whole time, but the atmosphere is much better suited to catching up with friends or grabbing a quick bite or drink. I was not able to connect to the WiFi and did not try any food, but I would recommend stopping by if you're in need of a meeting spot or quick pit stop. read more

Too bad I live so far from this place because it is a good study spot. I ordered the pour over Mellow Morning black coffee. I loved it. It has the bitter taste, at the same time with a sweet, soothing taste. I was enjoying the coffee until a fly wants to land in my coffee and enjoy my coffee too. LOL. I stopped by this coffee shop while I waited for my car being inspected. It has a nice atmosphere inside and a big patio. I ordered the frenchman latte and a bagel with cream cheese. The latte was extra sweet. I usually try different lattes at coffee shops since they are hard to make at home. I did not like the extra sweetness. The bagel was also stale. I would like to try the place again. It looks like they have a nightlife as well to try. I'll also say that their online menu has some items they don't offer anymore. read more

Hubby and I have been hunting a local place to call home on the weekends for good coffee and great atmosphere. And we feel we finally found it. The staff members are really amazing. And were dressed up for Halloween They even took time to make sure our drinks were exactly what we wanted because they have several unique options (pay attention to size and type - we learned lots from them) We ordered the sugar free Carmel latte, cappuccino, egg Sammy & avocado toast. Everything was FAST and delicious!! (We went on the weekend in the morning during busy hours too!) Pics included. They also have cocktail options, special events and outside seating. I was in the area for the weekend over the summer and found this spot to get some work done. Their outside space is sooo cute and has plenty of seats that are socially distanced! I ordered a chicken salad sandwich that was pretty tasty and my boyfriend had a breakfast sandwich that was sooo incredible!! I also got the campfire s'mores latte which was awesome as well. Always appreciate a place that dishes out cortados...more impressed when they are able to nail it and they definitely do here at blend bar. Awesome cafe with great space outdoors...they've got heat lamps out there that will keep you warm and price points are not bad at all. A plethora of parking, they've got great pour over selections, pastries and bakery could be better but the coffee here is 5 stars which is more important to me. Will def be frequenting this place when I am back home visiting. Check them out! read more
