As an adult, I've enjoyed cycling since the late 80s and having previously worked in a shop myself, was looking for a place that could not only fix my bikes but one that I could develop a relationship with. The kind of bike shop you could hang out in, swap riding stories, plan rides and maybe even learn a little something you didn't know about your bike. After visiting a handful of shops I walked into Just Ride Bikes and Fitness. Just Ride had that bike shop vibe, which was like going to that place where everybody knows your name. You know that place, right? When I walked into Just Ride, I was greeted by Brian who is the owner. Brian was friendly and knowledgeable of not only the bike business but the local cycling scene as well, which was invaluable to a new arrival to the great state of Tennessee. Brian's staff were equally helpful and great to talk bikes with. After that initial visit, I brought my mountain bike in to have the dropper post serviced. Brian got the job done quickly, kept me abreast of the status of my repair and made sure the service cost remained reasonable. My dropper post now works better than when my bike was new! For riding the Creeper and other trails in the area I bought a Trek Checkpoint gravel bike from Just Ride. Brian made some great suggestions for which gravel bike was best for me and made me a very reasonable offer on the purchase of my new Checkpoint. I also completed my first shop ride with the Just Ride crew, which was a total blast and I can't wait for the next one. I've been to shops where no one who works there actually rides but the guys at Just Ride are cyclists of all levels whom you just might see if you're out on the Greenbelt trail or elsewhere. I've found bicycle shops that have practically no inventory and everything has to be ordered for you to shops that stock mostly the super expensive stuff that you probably don't want or need. Just Ride keeps a nice selection of bikes and accessories in stock that you'll actually want, including products for the serious athletes to those riders who just want to get some exercise and enjoy the road/trail. I found the staff at Just Ride to be honest, welcoming and very competent. I'm happy to have found Just Ride Bikes and Fitness and they are now my go to shop in northeast Tennessee.

Here is my situation-My wife (27) and female cousin (22) had to call it quit toward the end @ The Cottage Cafe (4 mile away). I rode back by myself to drop off my bike and get my truck in order to pick them up. I forgot the key to my vehicle but the staff was nice enough to let me borrow an E-bike for free! Definitely recommend making a reservation for a bike ahead of time to guarantee a spot at your desired time. And be sure to arrive 30 minutes before so you can get set up with a bike. I read all the reviews and watched lots of TikToks about the 17 mile bike ride itself--it's described as easy and mostly downhill. Based on all of that, I rented a regular bike but regretted that decision later due to the amount of uphill stretches there actually were. Maybe my bike seat was not adjusted to the correct height for me, but I thought the ride was very challenging and my quads were on fire. I was actually worried I might not be able to finish and would die alone somewhere along the trail--and I could barely walk when I got done with the ride. I would recommend older or out of shape cyclists consider renting an e-bike instead of a regular bike. I saw lots of seniors riding back and forth on the trail with big smiles and I realized it was because they were on e-bikes. There is a small store that sells ice cream, water, and has a bathroom (basically porta potties) about an hour into the ride and after that, there is nothing. There is a big grass parking lot behind the building with plenty of room for cars.

We were looking for gifts for some of our outdoorsy friends. We weren't able to find it but what was cool is that if you were interested in checking out a bike the staff will let you write it around the block which I think is a really kind gesture because I don't know any bike shops around by me that'll let you ride their products out of the shop to test it.

After 45 mins when the drinks get done the first thing the barista said was "You shoulda put this big order in online" i replied "I work close" and go to pick my drinks up they all fall out the bottom then the same barista has the nerves to say "I shoulda held the bottom" I had 3 drink carriers. So they remake the three that fell out the bottom I get them no problem and I get to my job handing out drinks then I get to my co worker who is allergic to lemon and the only drink I got left is a "Mango Twist" and I asked for a plain Mango smoothie not Mango Twist, which i looked up and it included lemon. So no big deal they got 9-10 smoothies right but I go back with the Mango Twist and asked if I could get a just mango smoothie, because I didn't ask for Mango Twist. The same barista who told me "I shoulda put my order in online" told me that I did order that even tho she wasn't even there when my order was being taken she was making smoothies. She tells me I have to pay for her mistake, which mistakes happen. I'm not mad she gave me the wrong smoothie I'm mad she gonna stand there and tell me I did order that and proceeded to charge me. Which the drink mango twist isn't even displayed on the menu in store neither!! Tropical smoothie woulda had no problem fixing their own mistake.
