They were professional, kind and efficient. My house was clean, and ready for our home event and house inspection by the landlord thanks to Victory. Thank you!

I believe I originally spoke with the owner of the company to get the quote and I asked if we could communicate by text as I was coordinating this service from a different state/time zone. The pricing was right for us because of the seasonal discounts and more importantly, I believe they were confident in their service and wanted to earn the repeat business (a great sign of a quality service). I had Victory Home Services send a professional out to come deep clean my father's home. He has lived alone for a year now and has had caregivers to maintain the cleaning for him, but a deep clean was needed to turn over the fall season. Cornelia was dedicated and somehow managed to get the bathroom clean (I was about to just replace the toilet and she salvaged it!). She came back a second day when my dad ran out of energy for visitors to be over. That was huge! The dedication to the job was just what we needed to get it done. Thanks Victory!

"You have kept your word, and done exactly what you said you would do, at every step of this move. For this, I am so grateful. Y'all have been completely dependable. You have a great company going, because of this." We used Big Country Movers for moving, cleaning of townhouse, and debris removal between Aug 3rd and Aug 30, 2024 for an across town move.

I would not recommend this moving company to my worst enemy…read more My husband and I are both teachers relocating from Abilene to Frisco. We hired Big Country Movers to load our U-Haul. I called around to different area moving companies because we needed a team who would have the equipment to move and secure large appliances and furniture (refrigerator, washer/dryer, sectional sofa, dining table, etc.). I was explicit about these needs on the phone when I called BCM the first time. I specifically asked, "Will the movers have a dolly?" and explained what needed to be loaded. The man I spoke to assured me that they would: "Oh of course, of course. We are full-service, professional movers. We will arrive with a dolly and all the equipment needed." Also, I should mention that I hired a four-person team. Only three of them did any work. The fourth, as I mentioned, referred to himself as a "supervisor" and he had a clipboard. On the day of the move, a tiny car pulled up at 12:06 (our window was 8-12) and four guys got out, no dolly in sight. My husband and I immediately asked them about this, as there was no way to load the large items without one and we had specifically requested one. (Also, who ever heard of professional movers arriving to a job with no dolly?) The supervisor said "oh yeah, well its being used at another job right now, it won't be ready for an hour. Someone will go pick it up then." So for the first hour the movers had no dolly. And then one of them had to leave to go pick it up and drive it back to us. The remaining two guys loaded boxes while waiting, which does not take long. Especially since they gave no attention to how the boxes were loaded. Many of our fragile items were loaded on the bottom, and the boxes were not braced. They literally stacked them in leaning towers with things like china and dishes on the bottom (boxes were labeled FRAGILE, DISHES) and heavy boxes of books on top of them. Oh, I should mention they loaded our dresser VERTICALLY AND ON ITS SIDE (please see photo--in this photo you can also see one of the towers of boxes). Our couch was wedged in diagonally. I regret not taking a picture because it was truly something to behold. We purchased a stack of 12 furniture pads, NONE of which were used. The movers who unloaded the truck found all of them shoved in a corner in the back of the U-Haul. Literally, wadded up and shoved into the back. All of our furniture was scratched and damaged. Every single piece. They were not wrapped (with the exception of the drawers on the sideways dresser), and again, the furniture pads were not used. The company who unloaded us (The Move Pros--they were awesome) were appalled at the way the truck was loaded. The first thing they said was "I hope you didn't pay someone to do this". They actually encouraged us to contact BCM about their horrific loading job. When we called BCM to tell them this, they said it was our fault for moving "so far". As if us moving 3 hours away (yeah, not that far) somehow retroactively caused them to load the truck poorly and prevented them from using furniture pads or wrapping our solid wood dining room table. When we questioned them about clearly marked fragile, lightweight items like dishes being packed UNDERNEATH heavy boxes of books, the guy literally said "let me explain how boxes work". I should mention that they first time I called, when the owner wasn't on the call, the supervisor admitted that the job was "trash"--yes, he used that term, and said there was no excuse for the way the truck was loaded. He suddenly changed his tune when the owner was on the phone and they spent 20+ minutes blaming us for how the truck was loaded. Even going so far as to say that we should have "made suggestions" if we didn't want it loaded that way. I know I said I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy, but if a masked marauder ever murders my entire family I will exact revenge by recommending Big Country Movers for his next move.

He had no lights on his trailer so I didn't see him until he was about 50 feet away. I went under the trailer and hit the axle at around 45 mph suffering head trauma among other things. My life was forever changed. Assessing the damage still years later it was found I lost the ability to organize things around me and remember what I had. I tended to keep things out in the open so I could see it every day and take an account of what I had. Then I moved in with my entire household of stuff into my grandmother's home which was also full of stuff. To make matters worse I had become a bit of a shopaholic after my accident. I could never remember what I bought so I bought it 4 and 5 times over in many cases. I was tripping over boxes and furniture and my family or friends would no longer come inside to visit. My mom did some research and hired Randi Lyman of A Helping Hand. She couldn't have picked a better person to help me. Randi is very considerate and a positive force even in my life today. She is so supportive and in no way looks down on you regardless of your situation. She is so compassionate and incredibly professional. My house is now organized and de cluttered. She helped me make decisions where my thought processes had broken down. I can't thank her enough for what she did. I was also imbued with her thought processes for making decisions about buying and also organizing what I already have. So as new things come in, old things go out and the new stuff is organized. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who needs help regardless of your situation. Thanks again Randi! You are one of the finest people I know!

She was so much fun to work with - so personable, not too serious yet still very professional, and was genuinely interested in my actual life. She even wanted to meet my 8 guinea pigs, hee-hee - it was so awesome that she is also an animal lover, and has a big heart for animals (kiss-kiss for Julie from Auntie Jackie!). Randi also made a huge effort even before our first appointment to understand exactly what I was needing, and asked me to send her some photos that were both fun and also pertaining to what I used the room we would be working on for (i.e. that showed what kinds of items I make in my sewing and craft room). I call myself a mini hoarder, especially when it comes to fabrics and crafts, and she was so patient and non-judgmental towards me. It's very reassuring as well to know that she has so many years of experience working with other adults with ADHD. She snuck in some helpful gems of how to stay organized as we were working through our 3 hours without me really realizing it, but that info sunk in. Only a day after working with her, I found myself looking at a few lamps in that and another room and thinking, "I can donate those - I can let them and tons of other things like those go, and it will make my life much easier and less stressful to let them go. We're not even using them or haven't for 6 years!" She was very inspiring and working with her made me excited to do more, not only in that room but in the rest of the house. I would highly, highly recommend her!
