I love this store and I love chatting with the ladies here. The style is so cute and girly but you can also find more toned down clothing as well. That's not me though so I love how a lot is diamonds and pink and glitter. Seriously the best. It is more on the pricey side however, they will have amazing steals from time to time. Filled to the brim with all things sparkly, feathery and doused in glitter, this is a southern gal's dream. My particular favorite section was the college attire. Just in time for football season, I found an amazing handmade Longhorn necklace, matching bracelet and burnt orange dress. I have seen items on their Instagram, call the store, they will hold something for 24 hours, which then allows me to go pick it up the next day, and not worry about it selling out! Well this is just so freakin cute. One of the two San Antonio locations of this boutique, this is definitely girly. In every sense of the word. And southern, so southern. You can find everything from a $10 plastic reusable water cup, to a $200 kimono or dress, or Kendra Scott jewelry. There's something for everyone. The quality of the clothing varies, so make sure you check out the item before you buy it. I've found some of my favorite pieces here, but I've also found some cheap things of about Forever 21 quality. This location is bigger than their N. New Braunfels location, has a bigger clearance section if that's your thing, and seems to have an overall bigger selection of merchandise. This is the place you go if you need a gift for any female in your life and you just can't figure it out, but don't want to go to yet another chain store. Or if you want a brightly colored, embroidered dress for Fiesta or the rodeo. Or clothing and accessories for college football. It's worth the trip to Bracken Village for items that you won't see the rest of the city wearing. read more

The name couldn't be more fitting for a San Antonio gift store, and this is not your typical "gift store". A perfect place to find something unique for yourself or someone else. My favorite items include anything that says "Bless your heart", because that's just so southern and hilarious, and a t-shirt I recently picked up that says "Praise the lard" with a picture of a pig. See? Where else can you find that? As a first timer, I wasn't quite on their email list yet, but the friendly lady working the register offered me the discount without me even knowing it existed and THAT, my friends, is customer service. We went for the first time today, and I'm not sure what people expect for customer service, but I was greeted by the owner when we walked in. She even pointed out some bracelets for my daughter to look at, and gave her a jewelry box they were going to discard. I was sorting through the clothing, and was asked if I needed a dressing room, even though I didn't. The clothes are unique and fun. The selection of boots is awesome, but some are a grand! Whoo expensive ones. Lol however they were decked out with bling all over them. A girl can wish she could afford those. I loved the college gear they had and wanted to get a tank for the 4th of July, but my groupon didn't process right. So it was prices at $38, and I would have saved about 20 using it.. Great sale when I was at BYH last week. Usually I steer clear of boutiques with my college budget, but I was surprised by how reasonable SOME of the prices were. Got a cute dress for $26. Cute store, but not impressed by how long it took to check out. 4 people in line and I probably waited 20 minutes or more, and the longer outside because my roommate was trying to order something customized...until she gave up because the line wasn't even moving. Oh also, the woman at the register was a little rude and treated me like I was stupid for giving her $32 for my $27 purchase so that I would get a $5 back instead of $1s. Yesterday was my first time visiting this boutique, I was amazed by all the cute home decor they had to offer. Then I came across there clothing selection I was in heaven, so many dresses!! A young girl worker there saw the clothes I was picking out & offered to take them from me and start me up a dressing room, about every 5 mins she would walk by me again and sure enough I had picked out more clothes that she would add to my dressing room while I shopped around. The clothes were reasonably priced ranging from $22-$40. Out of all the clothes I tried on I whined up only buying one dress, they also had miss me jeans which I will be going back soon to check out, and the cutest boots ever! This boutique is located on what appeared to be a ranch with several other small houses. There was a restaurant and a 'Pink' house that can be used to host little girls birthday parties. I am not sure what the other houses were because they were all closed. Inside the boutique there were several different styles of clothing, purses jewelry and other knick knacks. I tried on a couple of shirts and they just did not fit properly. I saw a couple cowgirl boots but I cannot get myself to spend over $200 on boots I will not wear very often. They had a wide variety of Toms that I was close to buying but decided not to. There is a sale selection upstairs that also had a bunch of Toms in a variety of random sizes. If you are in the area I would check it out. I bought a pair of earrings to gift to a girlfriend and another pair of earrings for myself. read more

I live in Austin, but every time I make it down to SA, I make sure to pop into BYH! They have so much great stuff but my favorites are usually their t-shirts, jewelry and seasonal gift items. Whenever I'm in need of a birthday or hostess gift, I can always find something perfect. Oh, and I've bought several Jon Hart items from them which I'm obsessed with. This store has maybe a few awesome items but some of the worst customer service and jewelry that I have ever experienced. It's really sad because their christian crosses and jewelry was what I was looking for and the little trinkets never lasted past an hour. Then, the staff was excessively rude on the phone, cutting me off mid-sentence and not listenting to anything that I was actually asking. After looking around the internet a bit more, I'm really convinced that this establishment has issues. More than a few disgruntled customers and employees (who identify themselves as employees) berating them ONLINE! If they do it online, why wouldnt anyone not believe that it's done in person. Question: Could this tiny little shop be more blissful?! Answer: Absolutely positively not... it's perfection! This little treasure is off the beaten path and tucked away in Bracken Village. It is hands down, my most favorite store in all of the San Antonio area... and I get around... in the shops that is! It is filled to the brim with sassy jewelry, cute clothes, funky shoes, a whole wall of Vera Bradley, kitschy knick knacks, and tons of other nifty little items just dying to jump right in your shopping bag and make their way home with you! My description really isn't doing it justice. You just need to see it for yourself to truly understand that it's awesomeness knows no bounds! The prices are reasonable on the jewelry, and right in line with what you would pay anywhere else on the designer items. You could go and spend an hour looking every day for an entire week and still find things you missed when you go back the next time. The inventory is rotated regularly so if you see something you like, snatch it up right then! The shop is family owned and they're in the store working most days. They're always willing to offer an opinion when asked, and never hesitate to recommend their favorite pieces. Bottom line, the customer service is excellent! They use Facebook to notify their loyal customers of sales or new inventory and that's pretty handy. It may be a little out of the way, but it's worth the trip for sure! read more

I will never shop or even ask for gift from this store again. I received kendra Scott earrings for my bday. They were clip ons. Clip ons hurt! I brought them back to this store to exchange and they automatically took 25% off because I had no receipt. Again, it was a gift with their sales tag attached and in new unused condition. The old woman at the counter told me to ask the person who gave them to me for receipt. In my mind, how rude! Not going to ask the person who gave me the gift for a receipt. They wouldn't even exchange for another pair of KS earrings unless I paid them the 25% they were taking from me. FYI: never give or ask for gifts from this store. read more

I have been here many times over the last three years and I will agree 100% with some of the other people reviewing that the chicks who work here are snotty and their customer service has lacked every single time I have ever gone to this place. The will only greet certain customers. I walked in around the same time as one lady once and someone walked right up to her and greeted her but walked right past me. They always seem like they are peering and watching people. I have heard this from other people too. Are you trying to make your customers uncomfortable? There are some really great finds out at BYH. Everything is so cute! Mostly the clothes and vera bradley got my attention. I've been in at least both locations at least 3 times, but I have to agree with a few of the other reviews here.. the customer service is lacking. You would think that a place called BYH would be more welcoming. The younger girls made it seem like they cared more about talking to each other about what was going on in their lives or how they looked/what clothes would look good on them from the store than stopping to greet me or help me get a fitting room. Bless your heart has been one of my favorite stores since high school! I'm in college now and often go with my mom to this store. They have styles that hit a wide range of ages which is why we love it! I normally come in about once a month and have always had good service. The only Tip I have is one time I found this glass jar that had a price tag on it that I thought would be adorable to put bracelets on! I figured it was for sale because of the price tag and I have bought many of their jewelry holders and cute display things before! When I brought it to the front one of the ladies went to make sure it was for sale and the owner wanted to keep it. I understand but it was such a cute piece I wish they wouldn't have put a price tag on it if they weren't sure they wanted to sell it. Over all love this place though. read more

My daughter and I discovered this shop after she learned about it from a customer where she worked. We made a trip over to the Alamo Heights location and LOVE this store!!! My only problem is trying to NOT spend too much money. The clothing is fun and reasonably priced for the most part. They have a great selection of Old Gringo boots and Miss Me jeans. I've read a lot of reviews about the bad customer service and have to say I've NEVER experienced that! I have always found the store staff to be pleasant. Have been greeted, but not mobbed. Yes, the younger gals can be chatty with one another, but what store with a young staff doesn't have that???? I have found them to always be helpful when asked, kind at check out and overall a pleasant shopping experience every time. As for the quality of jewelry, one must realize you do get what you pay for.... Prices on jewelry is pretty low here. (I make my own artisan jewelry, so I know jewelry pretty well). This is inexpensive, costume level stuff. Not meant for lifetime, long-term use. If you have a bad experience with an item, the best thing to do is return it to the store and explain your experience. I'm not sure what the stores return policy is, but I bet they would rather have the opportunity to make things right than to have someone just leave a bad review. I used to shop here all the time when the British restaurant used to be out here, then the British shop closed and a new one opened, wasn't very good so we never really went back that much. I would always stop in at Bless Your Heart gift shop because of all the neat little things they have in there. I could've probably spent hours in there if I didn't hate shopping as much as I do. I love the clothes (they are pricey) but they are definitely unique to say the least. Lots of little gifts you can buy for girlfriends and stuff. The only reason I give them three stars is because of the horrible customer service. Like others said, I walked in there with a big smile on my face and said hello and never got greeted back, ever since then I walk in there and don't say a word, they don't either. When I first went to this store, I really liked it. Everything looked really unique, not crazy expensive. After purchasing a few items, I am not a fan. I bought jewelry and clothing and the quality is really poor. The jewelry broke the first time I wore it and the buttons came off the jacket the first time as well. Not very good. I am small, so usually most things off the rack fit, but a lot of their clothes were cut so oddly they wouldn't fit me correctly. If you buy a familiar brand there, like toms, you are probably ok. I went to this store after I heard it was a great place to find great gifts and dresses that arent found elsewhere. The store is cute and the concept is cute but the customer service is very ugly. I walked in and smiled at the women at the counter but they didnt even acknowledge me. I walked all over the store for about an hr to make sure that I Iooked at everything. I really wanted to find something precious. I did go to the counter with a few items to purchase, totaling to over $80. While I was looking through some items at the counter there were a total of 4 employees/owners there and none of them made any conversation with me. I might as well have been invisible. She gave me my total, I then gave her my card, she swiped it and then just gave me my bag. I left feeling worthless. I personally appreciate any customer that comes in my door and these ladies dont.
