The thrift stores provide affordable shopping for the community, while the proceeds support the church's outreach ministries and local missions. They also partner with other community charities by sharing donated items with organizations in need. This thrift store was much larger inside than it first appeared with several rooms to explore, On the day I visited, all furniture was 50% off, and clothing was just $3 per item, with many marked down even further. I ended up finding a few pieces to take home. What I loved most about this thrift store was its charitable spirit. Near the front entrance, they have a community food pantry where anyone can leave nonperishable food items or take what they need. This is such a caring gesture for the community.

During my treasure hunt I found a china bowl with a sterling base that matched my Grandmother's Royal Rose china pattern. It was marked $18 but when I went to pay it was 50 percent off. Score! Eau Gallie was once it's own town but now it is part of the northern section of Melbourne. Run by volunteers, the store is currently open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10am - 4pm. This is a really old school thrift store. They only take cash and checks from local residents as payment. You can however keep up with them on Facebook. The thrift store is a main room with two smaller side rooms. In the large room is clothing, accessories, and some household items. They had some children's Halloween costumes. The side rooms hold crafts, party items. household goods including a lot of china, and bric-a-brac. Prices are inexpensive. A beautiful punch bowl set that would be perfect for any shower was only $15. A visit here is like a trip back in time. From the creaky floors to the vintage items they sell to their old fashioned payment policy of not accepting credit cards, this store is like something out of the past. The people there - staff and customers alike - were so kind. The man in front of me even paid for my items because he saw the LSAT study book I found and wished me good luck! This store does have a card minimum of $10 to keep in mind when you're browsing. There were a few shoppers that were disappointed when they reached the front of the line with a $3 purchase and no cash. The staff also said they prefer not to just round these small purchases up, even under the guise of a donation. The areas that stuck out the most were the many shoe racks and the children's section. There was also specific shelves for glassware, books, clothing, furniture, electronics, luggage, and miscellaneous.
