They operate one main no kill animal shelter for adoptions and four Molly Mutt Thrift Shops that provide financial support to the organization. They also run a Spay and Neuter Clinic, a low cost clinic to provide affordable health care options, and the Heavenly Paws Chapel to provide compassionate care to those who have lost a pet. During a recent visit to Palm Bay, I was able to visit Molly Mutt IV. They also have locations in Melbourne, Rockledge, and Merritt Island. The store was clean and well organized. During my visit they were having a sale on handbags. Other items they sell include clothes, home goods, collectibles, holiday decorations, furniture, books, records, silver, toys, jewelry, pet supplies, and more. There are two full rooms to explore. My husband and I recently brought quilts and drapes to donate. They were packed in plastic…read morecontainers that we wanted to keep, so we drove around to the back as instructed. Unfortunately, the donation area required carrying everything up a flight of steps, which is very difficult for us. I knocked on the door to ask for assistance. The woman who answered seemed irritated that I had interrupted her, was rude, and appeared very reluctant to help. She eventually brought out cardboard boxes for us to transfer our donations into and, again reluctantly, helped us. Since the quilts and drapes could easily be damaged by rain, I suggested they might want to move the boxes inside. She simply shut the door. The experience left us feeling unwelcome and unappreciated. Donations are given freely by people who are trying to help, and a little kindness goes a long way. Sadly, because of this experience, I will be taking my future donations to Nana's House instead. Marcie Ramirez

The Daily Thrift has multiple rooms packed floor to ceiling with treasures. Everything over $1 was 50 percent off when I visited. They sell bags, home goods, collectibles, shoes, small appliances, clothes, jewelry, art, and tons of other things. They had a whole hallway of cool vintage toys. Some of the more unusual things I spotted were a suit of Spanish armor and all of the medals a marathoner won in his many races. I ended up spotting an entire shelf of the Royal Rose pattern of my grandmothers China that I inherited so the friendly owner and I made a deal and I took two boxes home. Someday soon I will be able to throw a dinner party for 100. I was sorely tempted to take home a few other things but I don't think I have the room to display them the way they deserve. The space was taken over by a mother and daughter team and purposefully revamped to be an antique market. They clearly put a lot of thought into the design, layout, and even the lighting. It is definitely the cleanest, brightest, and best laid out antique market I have ever been to. When you first walk in the door there are several rows of glass cases containing jewelry and memorabilia. This is amazing for two reasons. 1. Because it is so many like items together. 2. Very few antique stores have such a large display of small items such as jewelry collectibles and memorabilia such as this. All of the stalls are laid out very neatly. But of course it is up to the renter of each stall as to how it is furnished and displayed. So as normal some are better than others. But all of them are quite wonderful. There is everything from antiques, vintage, memorabilia, glassware, homeware, lots of furniture, and handmade goods. So it is not 100% antique but I do feel that the handmade goods are upscale and fit well in the environment. It does not detract from or make you feel like you are missing out on antique options. Now that being said, that it is beautifully laid out and well curated. It is a little pricey. Not that the items are priced above their market value but most booths are pricing everything at the top end. So do be warned that you're probably not going to find a crazy amount of bargains. Now booths do have sales from time to time. And you can find some cheaper items. For example I got a beautiful pair of vintage enamel earrings for four dollars. But it is not an underpriced junk store. It is an upscale antique market. But it is definitely a very enjoyable experience and well worth a visit if not just to look at all the wonderful things!

They have a great selection of vintage china, furniture, and other items, all beautifully arranged. Even though it's a thrift store, everything is so clean and well-organized--you can tell the owners put a lot of care and attention into maintaining the store. The prices are also very reasonable. I bought a lovely wooden side table to go next to my sofa--solid quality, no damage whatsoever. I also found a nearly new computer desk for my daughter, and the price was great. What truly warmed my heart was the atmosphere. The elegant lady who runs the shop has decorated the fitting room in such a cozy and tasteful way--it's even nicer than those in some big-name department stores! Her husband and their son (a kind young man) were also there, and he kindly helped load the furniture into my car. That thoughtful service meant a lot to me. Next time I shop here, I also plan to bring some gently used household items to donate. I sincerely hope more people will discover and support this wonderful local store. Most prices are very reasonable, and staff is open to adjusting crazy prices. Items are sorted by gender and size. Categories are priced by group: all men's polo shirts are X price, all women's pants are X price. Shoes and furniture are priced by piece. Small book area and very few tools/hardware. New toiletries available. Rather small children's section. Credit cards accepted. Most of the store is accessible by wheelchair or walker, and is one of the safer stores as far as children go - just keep them out of the housewares section. The store only has a tiny presence of 'thriftshop scent'. One of the better shops for controlling odor. Staff is plentiful and very helpful. Drawbacks are some items smell terrible once one draws closer. Temperature is on the hot side now, and I can only imagine how it will be in summer. Also, some shoes are marked with an X (means it can be purchased with their social assistance voucher), and an employee is required to price those individually.
