I've used the local Frame Central on Cornell for years with special framing projects. They have a…read morestrong attention to detail & dedication to get things done in a manner that will ensure the object will look great for many years. I have a signed jersey & some other sports memorabilia on my office wall that always get compliments, & all were done here. Most recently I had a set of season tickets for my favorite sports team (go Timbers!) that I hoped to get stuck onto foam core, signed by the players, & then nicely matted & framed. I knew this was right up their alley. When I discussed the project with the Store Manager, Kara, she informed me that I might be disappointed with the results of doing this the normal way, as she'd read that tickets could be damaged in the heat used in the process. She said she'd research what other options might produce better results, & get back to me. A few days later I got a message that she'd found and ordered a different type of foam core that didn't need heat & should work great. Long story short we went that route & I couldn't be happier with the results. Once I get the signatures I'll be back to finish the job. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a project that's important to me.

I called to get a quote from framing a certificate, and I was quoted about $150-175. When I came into the store, the price ended up being over $300. I should have walked out right there, but I decided to support a local business - and sometimes you a pay a little more to "buy local." I wish I would have listened to my gut, because after I paid for the service, I was told I would not be able to pick up my certificate for over three weeks! Really Art Heads, it takes you over three weeks to frame a simple certificate and its costs me over $300? I will be going to Beard's Framing or the more DIY route at Michael's in the future.

Mark Montoya took the poor little thing apart and uncovered more of the mess - starting with back - not acid-Free, the glare-free glass that mutes the colors, and the actual mounting of the picture directly on the nasty glass- original little house of horrible things. But we got right down to the fun stuff- choosing a mat, frame and appropriate glass. It's going to be so nice. And if your jam is frames they have a huge stock. I forget the name of the kind man who helped me but he flooded me with options, had no problem with my waffling when making my decision, and made beautiful recommendations. The selection of frames is extensive and they didn't make me feel overwhelmed. It took about 3 weeks for my puzzle to be completed (which is impressive considering my horrible self glue attempt that was corrected) and I received a phone call when it was ready to collect! My puzzle looks gorgeous, it was wrapped for transport and I got to look over it before leaving! Obviously custom frame work is pricey, but I was willing to spend the money to get it done right, and the final frame is so gorgeous it's worth every penny to me. I would absolutely return for more work in the future!
