We had a great experience working with Kristen recently. We had a hand painted art on a piece of silk that needed to be framed and I am so glad we found this place. Kristen was respectful of the art and found the perfect mat and frame. She gave a 3 week period but called the next day with the finished product! She is very experienced and has much knowledge, so will definitely go to her for more custom framing jobs! Cute store in Forest Grove - they do framing and also have some cute gift items like jewelry, chocolate, fruit wine, socks, and candles. I picked up some CBD pain relief ointment and had fun browsing. The staff member was friendly and asked if I was looking for anything in particular, but they were also content to let me browse. I appreciate their Covid protocols, with a big bottle of sanitizer out front and tape on the floor to keep social distance. This store is worth a stop when shopping in Forest Grove. read more

My husband and I had been fretting for years about where and how to frame a very special photograph one of our friends had printed for us. We looked around at so many places to see where we could get this photo framed but it was slightly complicated in that the photo was a non-conventional size. For Christmas I wanted to get a piece of art framed for my dad and since we had just moved to Forest Grove and I noticed this delightful little shop, I went in and got it done. It wasn't too complicated to get that art framed as we just basically framed it without a matte or anything fancy. When I picked it up, I really liked the quality of the job. Later on I went in to get a quote to frame the photograph given to us by our friend. We had gone over some simple frames and mattes. Right after we got married my husband came with me and we both decided to take another look and really think about how we wanted to display this beautiful image. I felt like the owner, Kristen, could visualize exactly what could highlight the photo. She had a lot of suggestions, almost all of which we decided to trust her on and go with. And I'm so glad we did. Today we picked up our treasured art and the frame compliments the image so perfectly it is breathtaking. We can't wait to find the perfect place for it in our home. Apart from being a wonderful place to frame your beloved art, A Framer's Touch is a great gift shop with art, jewelry, chocolates (including the coconut truffle bar from Seattle Chocolates - a personal favorite) and various other gifts. They listen to you the customer and provide advice as needed(I'm in need of lots of advice on colors, frame styles, and much more) and will contact you during the project as they need you for approval! I live in Forest Grove & I NEVER have to leave town to have any frame project handled by Kristen & her staff. They take professionalism to a new level in so many ways. I recently brought in a birthday gift, for me from my husband, and wasn't sure about framing it because of the cost. I thought about Michael's but that's a drive. Kristen has a special offering in the Michael's price range but no. I decided that shopping & supporting a local business was more important & the results exceeded my expectation.
