He was very knowledgeable,…read moreexplained that he had completed many similar projects, and provided a clear quote after I sent him a few pictures of the deck. On his first visit, Carlos thoroughly cleaned and sanded the deck. He also went above and beyond by power-washing underneath it, an area that desperately needed attention. I had not asked him to do that, so I really appreciated the extra effort. When he returned to stain the deck, the finished result looked fantastic. Carlos was prompt, honest, upfront about pricing, and clear about what needed to be done. I am extremely happy that I hired him, and my deck now looks great and meets my HOA's requirements. I cannot recommend Carlos highly enough. He does excellent work and is an even better person.

He helped me mount a stained-glass window I've been wanting to display and he handled it with so much care and precision. It looks absolutely perfect--secure, level, and beautifully showcased. He also installed two new toilets for me, and the whole process was seamless. He was professional, efficient, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. Everything was cleaned up afterward, and he made sure I understood how everything work before he left. Reliable, friendly, reasonably priced and skilled--exactly what you want in a handyman. I'll definitely be calling him again for future projects! Highly recommend.

From the…read morevery first conversation, he demonstrated professionalism, deep expertise, and a genuine commitment to bringing our space back to life. Every step of the process was handled with care. He provided clear communication, thoughtful recommendations, and a level of craftsmanship that's increasingly rare. He didn't just "fix" things; he restored them with precision and pride, making the final result even better than the original. The team was punctual, respectful of our home, and incredibly organized. They kept the project on schedule, maintained a clean work environment, and made sure we understood what was happening at each stage. We wouldn't hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to anyone looking for top‑tier restoration work. If you want quality, integrity, and beautiful results, this is the contractor you want.

Marcus and his assistant, Devon, came out yesterday to repair our back deck. The deck was built 20…read moreyears ago without professional guidance, so some of the woodwork was kind of wonky. The top part of the deck, made from teak, is still fine, but all the rails (aside from the main supports) and bottom of the stairs were pine, so many of those parts needed replacement due to wood rot. Additionally, the slats that framed around the porch weren't attached properly, so Marcus took them all off and reattached them correctly and securely. He also removed an electrical outlet that wasn't working and capped off the wiring. The baseboards were also replaced with PVC. It was a full-day project, and these guys worked hard. I can't say enough for their professionalism--from the quality work they did (plus explaining everything to me), and beginning and ending the day with cordial words. Such politeness is not a give in these days. The day began with a friendly greeting and ended in the evening with, "Have a nice night," not to mention polite interactions throughout the day. They also cleaned up perfectly, removing all the old wood. Even though they went beyond what we discussed, and Marcus did the extra work (wooden slats that weren't attached properly and a piece of wood behind the stairs that was replaced with PVC which we hadn't talked about initially) Marcus stuck to his original estimate. ***I would recommend these guys without reservation.*** I will also add that their pricing was very fair with an estimate given ahead of time. It was an stress-free day. Thanks Marcus and Devon.

After meeting with Jim he gave me his honest opinion on what I wanted and then explained his ideas for my garage. After a little hesitation on my part and a couple changes to Jim's ideas we went with his recommendation and could not be happier. The quality of his work and craftsmanship is incredible and believe me I notice everything. Everyday during the construction from the grading, concrete, electrical, framing, roof, siding and trim work Jim was here making sure everything was perfect and we were happy. We also had Jim open up the back wall of our current attached garage and add a garage door to make it a drive thru garage. As for pricing Jim was very competitive and upfront with the costs my build was right on the money to what he originally quoted with the exception of some extra stone and concrete do to the grade of our yard but he was upfront with that right away at the beginning of the build so there was no surprise at the end. I would happily and without hesitation hire Jim for any other work I'm looking to have done and would highly recommend Deck it Out Builders to anyone and everyone! Just a note I'm doing my own insulating and drywall so not completely done inside in the pictures.

If you ever have to ask someone where to find an item, they not only tell you where to find it, they bring you right to it. I really appreciate that. However, I would not recommend buying appliances there. The delivery and installation workers leave much to be desired. Some time back we bought a stove and refrigerator for an income property. Stoves now come with mandatory anti-tip brackets that attach to the wall behind the stove and then to the stove itself. The deliverymen carried the appliances in, plugged them in, and were ready to leave. My husband asked about leveling the appliances and they balked at it. He had to bully them into going to out their truck and get their level and come back and level them. After they left, we found the anti-tip bracket inside the oven. I sent an email to the store manager about it and he assured me they were looking for new delivery people (who knows), but then told me it was not their responsibility to install the anti-tip bracket, but rather, it was the homeowner's! Guess who we have not been buying appliances from since then...
