Weather was an issue but what was more of an issue was that he worked alone and talked on his phone more than he seemed to work. Many people were commenting on how slow he was working. The rot under the siding was fixed well, the stairs were done in the back well, stairs in front my husband felt the support was suspect (means 4x4s were cut short - he made up some excuse that this was his intent) and door window was damaged and cracked. We have tried to contact him on multiple occasions, even going so far as forgetting all the support issues but wanted our door window repaired or replaced. He has ghosted us!! This is unacceptable. We paid him to do a job and didn't hold back any money (our mistake - now he has no reason to call us back). So now our only option is to hire a lawyer to get our door window repaired or replaced because at this point that's all we care about. We didn't pay all that money to have a door that doesn't function properly!

Quotes were so far out in left field that we thought we were just going to have to deal with the garbage, cracked tub we had or enlist some friends and hopefully pool together enough know-how to do it ourselves. Then, one night while in Menards, we just happened to see Joe's business as one of the recommended installers over by the plumbing/tub area. Boy, are we happy we did! For starters, Joe treats you like family. He listens to you, pays attention to what you can and can't afford and talks to you like a regular person. He communicates with you every step of the way and lets you know if something is changing. In the end, we basically wound up with a whole bathroom remodel for about the same (if not less) than what the other companies were quoting for JUST a tub replacement. Joe only uses the best of the best when he brings people in to your home to perform services. The flexibility and respect won't be soon forgotten. So many contractors out there talk to people as if they're just complete idiots. Joe educates, suggests and works to make you comfortable and confident in what you're doing. Due to a family emergency, the project needed to begin with urgency. Over the course of more than a month, there was constant back-and-forth communication, and the shower floor pitch was installed incorrectly twice. I also clearly communicated that my flooring contractor would address the trim. Despite this, I received a text message stating they intended to stop work mid-project, leaving me with a broken and unfinished shower floor. This situation has been extremely frustrating, as I am now forced to find and coordinate a new contractor to fix and complete the work. Please use caution when considering this company. In hindsight, I regret not going with my original contractor.

Other companies had given estimates but did not understand that the 3rd floor window was causing the problem. The work was done sloppily. They also left our front yard in tatters due to their handling of materials. Razor sharp shards of copper in bushes, shingles in trees, dead grass from hot compressors, front garden destroyed. Richard could not care less abt your property, and the condition he leaves it, he will not adjust any work if you're disappointed. I STRONGLY advise you do NOT use his service.
