Unfortunately, first impressions matter, and ours was not a pleasant one. We understand that no place is perfect, but a simple apology would have gone a long way, especially after we brought the issue to their attention. It was our first time visiting this restaurant. Everything started off well, but after placing our order, we waited approximately 47 minutes for our food to arrive. When it finally came, every dish was cold. To make matters worse, no one informed us that the fries we had ordered were unavailable. We only found out after the food arrived because we asked. No one took the time to keep us informed about what was happening. On top of that, my drink never arrived. The waitress's service was quite poor and came across as indifferent, as though the situation didn't matter. We tried to explain what had happened, but she didn't even offer an apology. In the end, we spoke with the manager on duty, and thanks to the way he handled the situation, we would consider giving the restaurant another chance. After all, excellent customer service is one of the main reasons people choose to return.

This place has a very odd layout. It's composed off a bunch of different rooms. I ordered a smash burger, which by no means was a smash burger. The burger had good flavor, but it was over cooked. Service was hit and miss. Probably won't be going back.

Everything was fine but not good, not great. Service and food. The actual location is super dated. I wouldn't fight to go if I had friends who wanted to go but I wouldn't pick it on my own.

Visiting my kids in the area--they took me here for dinner. Dining with a toddler and we were seated about as far back and up high as you can in the expansive property. Cadence, our server, was really great! Friendly and efficient, in spite of our being tucked far away. I was warned the barbecue isn't the best representation of what I'd expect from KC style. They opted for chicken fried steak & chicken. I was feeling like the fried shrimp. My eyes wanted the prime rib, but I knew I couldn't have handled it! I tasted the baked beans side and was happy I did. My coleslaw was tasty. Maybe a bit too much batter on the shrimp, but I was getting my fried food fix. I don't drink beer, but their Creamsicle cocktail was refreshing--couldn't taste any alcohol though! Star of the show was Dave's Dip appetizer!

My son, his friend and I are on our way out west for an adventure and stopped into Topeka for the night. I found the Blind tiger brewery on my way to camp and thought the menu looked promising. This was a great experience. I saw they brew their own root beer, and traveling with two teenage boys we all decided to try it. Best root beer I've ever had. We all ordered brisket, and I got mine with some burnt ends as well. It was all really good. Our server was excellent, shout out to Ayonana, I hope I spelled that right. She was very prompt, friendly, and a very pleasant person to interact with. The dining room was very lively with laughter and groups enjoying each other's company, and the welcoming atmosphere was great. I highly recommend Blind Tiger, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Food was decent, and service was good, but the place just seemed tired and dated. Ultimately we only got an appetizer and then left.

Stopped on a Friday night, very busy, after a long drive! There was a wait to sit in the dining room however, the lounge and bar area were first come first serve. It was full! We managed to find a small table near the patio doors. Just way too hot to sit outside! We sat for a little bit waiting for our waitress. It seemed that she had a very large section to take care of. After reviewing the menu, my wife ordered a sour and I one of their IPAs. My wife ordered the children's grilled cheese with a tossed salad while I ordered their house salad, entrée size, with smoked brisket. Everything came out relatively quickly. The salad was delicious as was the brisket; however, wish there would've been more sauce on the brisket. The beer was so good. We took home a small, quart, bottle of their top gun IPA.

6:30pm, Out of Ribs (Wednesday night special). I ordered a grilled Chicken Sand on Rye...brought out the smallest piece of chicken o have ever seen in a restaurant. Asked for Rye bread, told they were out...asked for Sourdough, waited 15 mins for the bread. $18. Really??? Husband ordered the Brisket Sandwich, it was super dry and didn't taste like anything. We won't be back.

I decided to grab a late lunch on a Monday, upon arriving I found the parking lot only had two cars in it and had to make sure that they were opened. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer. One of the things I like about this place is that they showcase their beers. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. I waited less than 5 min for my food to arrive. Sandwich had a large portion of pulled pork and a good amount of fries. The pulled pork was juicy and had good flavor. The beer that they brew is also really good and they have a large verity of different options.

It was July 4th when we were driving through Topeka on our road trip. I wanted to eat Kansas BBQ, but all the BBQ places were closed (understandably). Then I found Blind Tiger Brewery and called them to make sure they were open. When we got there the place was packed! They have a bar section, dining in section, outdoor dining, and a section where they have the brewery. By around 5pm a lot of their BBQs were gone! However, they did have some burnt ends, and let me tell you they were so flavourful, moist, and tender! I am sure there are BBQ specialty restaurants, but this place was delicious! Our server was busy, but he was very attentive, helpful, and very friendly. I don't know how long this place has been around, but you can show wear and tears esp with the carpets and general interior. Some places smelled musty. If it wasn't for that I would definitely give this place 5 stars!

All meals I've had there are top notch! Brisket is among the best & Tiger tips were outstanding. Sometimes the service can be a little slow.

This review is for lunch at the bar for two on a Saturday in mid-August…read more service: Both bartenders were helpful and professional. Hostess and food runners were enthusiastic. Everyone seemed to enjoy working there. bar: Because it was daytime drinking, I went with Hops and Harmony, their session IPA ($6 as of 08/2026). It's a solid low IBUs IPA. Their beer list covers most styles and has something for everyone. We saw a handful of cocktails going out and they all looked well made. food: Restaurant was on brunch menu; however, there are plenty of traditional lunch offerings. The standard breakfast fare looks wide-ranging and pretty awesome. I went with High Rail Burger - which is supposed to be a double smash burger - and fries ($13 as of 08/2026). It wasn't a typical, griddled, thin, lacey-edge smash burger, but it was still a very solid offering. Extra credit for excellent fries. My wife chose a half order of biscuits and gravy ($3! Can that be right?) and it was really great. details: Bright, big, open space with inside tables, outside tables, and bar seating. No wait at 1:30 on a Saturday. We parked on the street and there is a garage around the corner.

Oh my, my MY!!! I have to get stuck right in...GO lickety-split to this establishment!!…read more We went here on a Wednesday and it was luck of the draw! The interior is filled with murals representing Kansas and wonderfully done. The food a gastronomic delight...especially if you love BBQ and down-home cooking. My husband enjoyed his "Three Pigs" and the fried okra would make every southern Nanny proud! My smoked turkey was smoked and NOT laden with salt, as some that I have eaten at other places. Our server, Gabby, was so friendly, knowledgeable, and professional! She was such a joy! So, as soon as your office or work from home is finished, gallop on down to the Brewer and see for yourself! You won't be disappointed!
