This review is for the solid warranty service I received after purchasing the window coverings. One of my blinds broke, so I called Phil Wilson. He immediately arranged a time to come pick up the blinds in order to send them back to the company for repair. Other than a small shipping fee, everything was covered under warranty. We had shutters installed in July of 2018, so they're 5.5 years old. Probably the biggest…read moreregret/buyers remorse item we've ever bought. Our total was 16k. Some thoughts on the whole experience: Installers were messy. Styrofoam beads, pieces of packaging left in window sills. Not just a couple, almost every window. Lots of shutters were installed crooked. Claimed my windows were crooked...really? They adjusted some of them to be less crooked but they're still crooked. Shutters were left with sticky residue from packaging. Dirt marks from installers. None of which they cleaned off. Scratches and damage on slats of shutters and frame areas. A lot of the scratches looked like it was the fault of the installers, slicing open the packaging with a utility knife. They did offer to replace slats, showed up on one of the multiple visits to fix issues and they hadn't taken notes of what slat went with what window. I ended up going around myself and replacing slats. Just a low quality product. Scuffs and scrapes. Severe discoloration from the sun. See picture. I contacted them about this, told me I'd have to go thru the warranty. I have gotten absolutely nowhere with this. I mean what are they going to do? Replace everything. Just a poor quality product. Photo is from a west facing window, but all the shutters have this issue. Every. Single. One. Even windows that get minimal sun exposure, even the shutters that are on the front porch windows, north facing, have the discoloration. The discoloration is on every part of their product that gets sun exposure, shutters, slats, frame in the window. The blame for the discoloration lies 100% with their product. For cleaning all I've ever done was to vacuum them off, and wipe off with a damp cloth. No cleaners or anything. Someone needs to tell installers that less is more when it comes to caulk. The only positive thing I can say is the shutters do technically cover the window. I don't recommend this business or the product they sell. Extreme buyers remorse. One of their big selling point about these vinyl or pvc shutters is you don't have to paint them. I wish I could paint them. Business owners also requested I remove my original yelp review before they would come out to address the poor installation issues. I just cleaned them today, discoloration is just getting worse and worse, so posting a review.
