Have used Dale's Glass on several window installs. No issues or concerns with the installation or Andrew the installer. Jovita and staff are always pleasant and prompt to answer questions. I found the pricing to be 25 to 40% let than the two big box home improvement quotations. Example, 5 hpme windows with removal and replacement , was quoted $3,400 less than big box store. Plus, Dale's glass does not farm out projects, all projects are completed by Dale's glass staff. Highly recommend but again, your choice. read more

We have just moved into our sweet old home and our little demon dog tore through out patio screen door and the front screen door was a casualty of the movers . A Dales Glass employee let my dog out! Which resulted into my dog getting injured! When he came back I asked for his business card to I can speak to his supervisor or boss. He then got upset and refused and got closer to me, I would assume to scare me. When he left he slammed my door. Awful customer service experience, how are we suppose to trust Dale's Glass employees in our home. I tried speaking to the owner of the business but once he saw two women he instantly relaxed and didn't take our complaint seriously. Jovita was the only kind one. They also didn't do a good job on one of the windows, one of them broke the outlining of my window. read more

Excellent service from start to finish. I've had 2 of my glass windows replaced in May of this year and I couldn't have had a better experience. Scheduling for a technician to come out and take measurements was a breeze. They were upfront with the total cost before ordering the glass and kept me updated the whole time. Mariano and his partner Andrew (I think), the technicians who came install the glass windows, were fast, very respectful, and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. I went to Dales's Glass Shop for the first time. Will not go back. I guess they don't want or need new customers. I walked in there looking to buy a replacement door sweep for my frameless shower door. Jovita Hernandez "Office Manager " is the person who I talked to. I was shocked when she refused to help me just because my shower door wasn't installed by Dale's Glass Shop. I think all customers should be treated the same regardless who installed your shower door, specially when the Office Manager is the one helping you. read more

Total flakes. Want the money but can't show up. Monday appointment no show Jovita says I'm too busy to call and let you know the technician got hung up. So I agree to Wednesday at 0830. No show. Called Jovita who says he's loading now. I remind her that I was promised 0830. Now she changes her story and says she told me it might be as late as 1000. Wrong. Bottom line: go somewhere else. This review is consistent with other reviews. Got a lot of pushback from the owner. Bottom line: He didn't come out to do the job when it was scheduled twice and cancelled. Every time I talked to someone there it was like I had to start all over. Got my deposit back, went to another glass shop. They will be out tomorrow to measure and two days to get material. And they will install within two days. Breath of fresh air. All Dales's had to do was perform on their promised installation time. COULD NOT DO IT! read more

I would recommend you stay away from Dale's Glass Shop, the work is very substandard. We had several windows replaced on our home, and the workers damaged the frame surrounding the windows with some of the windows replaced. This is a 1930's home and the windows and frames are very old, but the amount of damage they did to repair the windows is amazing. My wife complained to the boss/owner of the company, and the owner said he would have the area repaired, but he never called us back, and when I called to leave a message, he would not return my call. I expect them to reply that there was is a protective layer about the window that is not usually there, but they were so careless and the damage could have been avoided. The owner never kept his work, can't be trusted to do the right think for the customer. Has sloppy workers that are poorly supervised. I hope he does not fire them, the damage they do repairing widows and the business loss will hopefully force the company to its knees. See photos below. read more

I wish you could rate them negative stars. I had a large job and asked them to come out and give me a quote. The man who showed up had the most negative attitude ever. I had all the dimensions for him as I had already gotten another quote. You can imagine my shock when two months later Jovita emailed that I owed them $125 for the quote! I sent back the original quote which mentioned nor billed anything for a QUOTE! By the way the vendor I did choose was $1000 less for the same products. They treated me with courtesy and class. My husband had a credit with Dales Glass shop for some glass that came in wrong, we had another home improvement that we needed glass for, I told my husband to get the estimate but not to tell them about the store credit he had with them, he said he would tell them because he trusted them to be professional and honor the credit. We went to pick out the glass and gave them the measurements, they said it would take a couple of days to work up the estimate, we waited a week then called, they gave an excuse and said it would be another couple of days we waited another week called again they said the owner wasn't in but would give him the message. My husband called again today Jovita left him on hold for 7 minutes he hung up and called back, Jovita hung up on him 4 times when she finally did talk to him she was very rude and gave him a verbal estimate she said it would be maybe $800 or $900, sounded like she just gave him a number off the top of her head, there is no way the glass we need would be that expensive, they obviously don't care about their customers, my husband deleted Dale's Glass from his contacts and called someone else. read more

I called and received a quote from a man named Joe and got the quote right away. When I decided I wanted to move forward with the work I asked if they come out and measure since they were quoting off of my measurements. We set up an appointment window between 9 and 11. I emailed at 7:30 in the morning to make sure someone was going to be there at the appointment since there was a storm happening and I was driving 30 minutes away from salinas to seaside to meet them at the house . When I did not hear back I showed up at the house at 9 o'clock and drove through the storm. At about 10:30 I did receive a voice message from Joe stating they weren't going to be able to make it since the roads were closed and we're coming from Salinas . Mind you I was also coming from Salinas and had no trouble getting to the location but no big deal I only drove through a storm and wasted almost two hours. They did reschedule for the following Tuesday which was actually today . Joe had called and left me a voicemail at 1:19 wanting to confirm that our two o'clock appointment still stood since he was driving ALL the way from Salinas to be there. I called back at 1:23 spoke to the receptionist and confirmed that I would be at the house at 2 o'clock I showed up at 10 minutes to 2 waited until about 2:30 when I called the business again to find out what was going on I was told at that time that they were on their way at 3 o'clock I had had enough and couldn't wait any longer and decided to leave calling back the company and letting them know that they were an hour late and I had no more time that they could waste. No apologies no let me find out what's going on, just flat-out I told you he was on his way. Now I just get a text message from Joe saying "I'm sorry that you don't check your phone and that you don't call people back but I tried calling you to confirm the appointment". I am appalled that number one that they don't show up to an appointment that they set and they then turn around and try to blame the customer! Apparently he didn't talk to his receptionist or the receptionist didn't talk to him whatever the case maybe this was very poor customer service and flat out rude. I had a double pane window with a hole in the outer layer from a rock thrown from a kid passing the house. Call Dale's Glass and they immediate sent out Mariano Mauro to assess the damage. Mariano efficiently took the measurements and said it would take about three days for my glass to arrive. Mariano showed up with my replacement glass and installed it. Mariano was very professional...great PR skills and very friendly. The whole project from start to finish took about 1 and 1/2 hours. Everyone I dealt with at Dale's Glass was very friendly and professional. Will definitely call them if I ever need something in the future. read more

The receptionist seems to be too busy to provide quality customer service. After the initial measurement and placing the order I had to contact Jovita more than once to schedule the installation, she never contacted me without my calling first. Jovita was the one that also quoted the job after the initial measurement. The price she quoted me over the phone was much lower than what the final bill was. If I had to rate Dale's Glass shop on Jovita and her service, it would be a 1 star rating. After a couple of weeks when I called she had an installer out the next day. There was a problem with the installation that required them to reorder glass and come back a third time. It was frustrating, but I get that this happens. The final installation was done professionally and quickly, once scheduled. Mariano was great and was able to put my mind at ease. The work was clean and as expected with no additional hiccups. He immediately contacted the office to rectify the bill vs original quote and I was quite satisfied with his professionalism and customer service. Mariano is a 5 star technician. read more

Extremely disappointed from the beginning. Sam came out to measure and couldn't understand that I wanted a sliding glass door. Had to tell him 3 times and finally showed him a picture. The light bulb finally went on. Should have stopped there and found someone else. Got the quote, first one was completely wrong, off by about $1000. Then the measurements were wrong. When I called to bring to their attention Joe and Jovita just blew me off. Not surprise when the door came in 6 weeks later the door didn't fit. My mistake, I had already paid half. First Joe tried to blame Milgard. Surprise I still had emails. Not Milgard mistake, it was Dale's Glass but Joe appreciated that I brought my concern to their attention. A lot of good it did me. Now I get to wait another 6-8 weeks for new slider. Finally arrived and was installed only to discover the quote was screwed up again. I am so done. Joe was supposed to send me the correct quote. Still waiting. Have got to be the most unprofessional individuals I ever dealt with. Have plans for open house. Won't my guests be interested in the sliding glass door story. Oh! I will be replacing another French Door and be adding other sliders. Guess who won't be getting my business. read more

I went to Dale's Glass to have the shower glass made for my master bathroom remodel. I had designed the shower stall myself and had created some challenging angles for the glass work. I worked with Sam. He came out to the house a couple of times and always arrived on time. I could tell that Sam and his crew really cared that the job be done perfectly and that the craftsmanship met all my expectations and it did.
