During our initial in-person consultation, she guided us through the best options for our setup--everything from which shades to choose, which ones to motorize, the most modern and popular material series, and colors that matched our home's vibe. Her communication was so efficient, and she clearly knows her stuff, that we had everything decided within about 30 minutes. We ended up selecting Hunter Douglas Duette honeycomb shades for our living and dining rooms, plus a Vertiglide for our sliding door, and Michele's recommendations were spot-on. The pricing was also very reasonable and competitive, which made the decision even easier. Later on, we decided to add two more shades for special-shape windows. We sent Michele rough measurements, and she provided updated estimates the same day, making the whole process seamless. We really appreciated her expertise and responsiveness. The order arrived even earlier than the initial 4-week estimate. Jeff came out for installation and did a fantastic job. He was very friendly, professional, and made sure every piece fit perfectly. He also walked us through the app setup and advanced features, and truly treated our home as if it were his own. His attention to detail really shows in the final result. Both Michele and Jeff were wonderful to work with--easy to communicate with, friendly, and genuinely attentive to our needs. We are enjoying our shades soooooo much. Recently, one of the blinds broke, so I contacted Andy for warranty service. Instead of coming onsite, he told me to remove the blind myself and bring it to his office. I missed the appointment because of an urgent personal matter and forgot to cancel it. Afterward, Andy called and asked why I hadn't canceled the appointment. I explained the situation and apologized. He then texted me saying he would now charge me an $85 service fee. When I questioned how a missed appointment could affect a warranty repair, the conversation became hostile. During the call, he used derogatory language and was rude and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I found the customer service to be disappointing. I would not recommend this business.

When we arrived at the showroom during their posted hours, a blinking "open" sign greeted us. However, the door was locked and had a piece of paper taped up instructing to call for an appointment to see the showroom. I called, no one answered and it went to Mr. Le's voicemail. From the reviews I have no doubt about the proprietor's domain expertise, and it's perfectly legitimate to have a "by appointment only" showroom, but from my perspective a shop should actually be open when they claim to be. Mr. Le, please send me 10 bucks for the frustration and wasted time you imposed on my family today.

I have just purchased a new home and had three companies come out to give us a bid for plantation shutters. What impressed me the most was that Justin had profound knowledge in the way the shutters could be mounted. Since I have very complicated windows with shallow depth and window cranks, there is only a very limited options to mounting the shutters. I told the sales people what I wanted which was to hide the cranks and still keep my existing trim. All but Justin said that it wasn't possible. He showed me pictures of an actual house he did through his iPad and proved it that it could be done. I also found out that unlike the other two sales people which had no installation experience, Justin was hands on and assured me that he would also install. Very satisfied Rommel and his team. In short review, they did an excellent job. I lived in San Francisco. Rommel drove one hour to my house, measurement everything and answered all my questions patiently, even though it had already passed dinner time. I was very pleased with the shutter sample Rommel brought (color, quality and material), so I placed my order. 6 weeks later, the installation team came over. They were very efficient and kind. Shutter was installed into my existing window frame perfectly. Also, they helped remove all the nails for previous curtain and repainted holes. I have already had these shutter, enjoyed sunshine and privacy at the same time for 3 months. Very very happy to make this decision. My dog loves these shutter, too. Our consultation was with Morgan, who has an uncanny ability to look at the house, pick the perfect colors, and suggest the right window treatment for every room. The options she brought for the blinds were so comprehensive that we were able to find blinds with the right colors for different rooms. She is very patient and worked for several hours with us to make sure we were happy with every window treatment. Twenty- six years ago, Rommel and his JMK team installed Hunter-Douglas window coverings in our (then) new home. I recall the process of selection, purchase and installation went perfectly and over the years, our JMK- Hunter-Douglas blinds have remained contemporary, functional and a great investment as we prepared to sell our home. During final inspection, we found just one blind with a damaged draw mechanism, called Rommel, explained our need and were absolutely amazed when Rommel arranged to have our blind shipped to Hunter- Douglas for repair (16 years after warranty expiration) and then re-installed the blind for the new family at no charge! JMK Shutters employees are absolutely wonderful and did a very professional job on installing the shutters that we had ordered. They are very details oriented. They spent time making sure that they lined the molding up at the right angles and that they drilled the brackets in at the right points of the seals, and make sure the holes that they covered up that we wouldn't even notice, or that there were visible staple/nail indentations, etc. My wife and I are happy with our installation. Their products are excellent! I was impressed they had such a wide variety of shades, blinds, and curtains; and they took the time to help me choose the best options. They carefully measured all the windows, provided a comprehensive quote, and updated it several times to accommodate my evolving preferences (it's astounding there are so many colors, fabrics, and styles to choose from). The quality of the shades they installed is very high and the mechanisms to open and close them work smoothly. One of the best designs is a top-down, bottom-up shade that allows us to cover the bottom portion of a bathroom window (creating privacy while still allowing sun to stream in at the top). I also really like the sheer blinds that provide a perfect mix of light and privacy in the entry hallway. The installation process went very smoothly, with a true expert doing the work. He thought of every detail, from precisely leveling each shade to giving through instructions about how to use and maintain them. The office staff, estimator, and installer were all incredibly friendly and responsive. I felt they truly wanted me to be happy with the outcome and went out of their way to ensure each window looked great while providing the light-filtering and privacy we needed.

Such a late review, but better late than never! :)…read more May 2023, we had our whole entire house installed with shutters and now my house looks brand new! We haven't changed the thin white blinds since moving in 2017, so it was time for an upgrade! James is your man! His client service is impeccable and communication is quick! His team works diligently and professionally to complete the installations in one day. I also really appreciate James giving me his advice on what would look nice for our house and also our sunroom (which he suggested honeycomb blinds and we completed that in September 2023). I would definitely recommend Famiere, James and his team if you are looking for new shutters or anything related to that! It's a "mom and pop" shop run from home and Ito's wife is amazing, she does all the front end communication and it was a joy to work with her. I definitely recommend this place for a repairs and they are perfectly priced also.
