We highly recommend Blinds to go in patchouge. Wade greeted us with a smile upon each visit, and had the patience of a saint when I changed my mind about style and color a few times. He described different shades and how they were made and functioned. When we finally made a decision they showed up to measure and the shades were installed two weeks later. Blinds to go is a total scam. my blinds fell apart and I called to get someone to fix. They only cover a broken mechanism and they would not help get them fixed even for payment. The person in the Patchogue store was beyond rude. read more

We have not had our blinds installed yet but our in store service was outstanding. We had a salesperson named Nicole. I recommend working with her if ever you need to purchase blinds or shades. My order never arrived. Called customer service and the recording stated they were still in production. I knew then something was wrong. I called customer service again and this time spoke with a person. The person could not find my order. This was not a custom job and I had already received a confirmation# for my order which was paid in full. 10 days later no blinds. I've experienced bad customer service.. this company HAS NONE.. If what they have now they call Customer Service, PATRONS BE WARE!!!! This company should have went out of business BEFORE TOYS R US. At this very moment i am waiting for customer service to call me back with the NEW order they are said to be rushing to me. They said 15-20 mins. It's been hours now.. I am about to cancel the order but I HAD to submit this awesome review so that others don't get caught up in this HORRIBLE place. The owners of this business are shameless to say the least. I stopped in one day to inquire about the possibility of getting shades. The sales-people were friendly and helpful. Sean spent some time with me explaining the different blinds and shade options for my home. I was not rushed and was able to see and feel the samples. There are many samples around the store, on removable frames so you can actually hold the products up to the windows. I returned the next day with my husband and we ordered the shades through a different sales-person, Coleen. She was great. She also spent a great deal of time with us going over all the details and writing up the order. She really knew the products and knew about the details that I would have missed, like which side to place the pulls for each window, etc. We compared colors and she even let us take home some samples, and call her to confirm our color choice before the order was placed. Prices are reasonable and competitive. The products are made in the Blinds to Go factory, so they are not a well know brand, but they are very well made. Our order of 14 shades was ready in two days! We couldn't be happier. What I was not happy with, was the installer, Kenneith O'Pray. I felt he rushed the job. He talked on his ear-phone through most of the job and many times I thought he was talking to me, but he wasn't. You know that weird feeling you get when it looks like people are talking to themselves until you see the ear-phone? He left our home and after he was gone, I realized that some of the shades didn't go all the way up. Also, in the sunroom with 6 windows, the chain ties were not in line, since he just randomly place the hooks and didn't measure. Fine if there was just one window, but with a row of windows, the unevenness is obvious. I did not ask him to move them since we would have more hole in the molding. My husband and I decided let it go. Most people won't notice, but I do. In his defense, he did return to add some hooks on the door shades and fixed the other shades to allow them to open all the way. He made an effort. My recommendation: go to Blinds to Go, but ask for another installer. They are subcontractors so you can choose any contractor on their list, or if you are handy, you can install them yourself and save some money. read more

My problem is with the company. we went to the store pick out motorized blinds for upper windows in our kitchen sales person there with us that they were up above we picked out what we wanted .We agreed on a price and left them a deposit. Service technician came out to measure and complained that the windows were high and he has to charge $30 extra charge when they knew all along that they were the upper windows. read more

I had blinds installed and the attitude I received was absolutely very disrespectful. Came an half hour later then my appointment without a phone call to me . I called him and the way he answered his phone was very uprofessional. Used one screw in each blind .... when I addressed it he was like dumb founded. Tiffany the Design Consultant was extremely helpful and very patient. She was a joy to work with. The only downside was one of the blinds was defective and waiting for replacement...when I called store to find out about replacement there was no way of leaving message. Worst customer service. They may be nice, but nothing is ever done correctly and nothing will ever go to the store it's supposed to and no one has any idea what's going on and no communication and blinds will be missing pieces . Good luck getting the pieces! read more

Horrible experience!! I went in asking for a 74" blind for a double window. I allowed the sales girl to talk me into ordering 2 seperate blinds. Which would of been fine, however, the sales girl didn't do the correct math in dividing 74" into 2. So I received the wrong size blinds. After calling the store & speaking with them and also calling customer service and speaking with them, they both informed me there is nothing they can do and I am stuck with these blinds. The did offer me 20% off if I would like to spend another $300 and reorder the blinds at the correct size!?! Are they kidding... I will never spend another penny in that store! I trusted the supposed blind "expert" to know her job and correctly place my order and when she made a mistake the company should've rectified the situation not told the customer it was there problem! read more

DO NOT ORDER THE SMART CELL BLACKOUT CELLULAR SHADES!!!! This product should come with a disclosure stating "they may come wrinkled and dimpled and there is nothing that can be done about it." I spent over $350 on two cellular shades that have imperfections throughout them both. When I took them into the store, they told me the factory stated "this is how this shade is and there is nothing we can do about it." It would've been nice to know this BEFORE I placed the order. read more
