The only other store we looked at, Bridal Beginnings in Robinson Town Center, made us feel like morons for thinking we could get a dress in such a short time. Talk about condescending ... Ugh! So we drove on to Boardman as my daughter said there quite a few bridal stores in that area. We noticed Betsy's and pulled in the parking lot - the store was closed - but then a little grandma woman emerged from the adjacent gift shop. It was Betsy herself. She opened up the dress store and proceeded to invite my daughter to peruse any and all of the dresses she wanted to and to try them on. Betsy explained that the sizes on wedding dresses do not correlate with a woman's regular dress size and every designer is different so just try them on. Betsy gathered several different styles so my daughter could see what was most flattering to her petite stature. We had Betsy's full attention, she assisted my daughter in adjusting the dresses and advised on what alterations would be necessary - unlike Bridal Beginnings, Betsy was unfazed by our timeline. Although she tried on about 6 dresses, the first dress my daughter tried on was stunning and fit almost perfectly. It will be perfect after minor alterations the store's seamstress will make. The dress will be cleaned and pressed. And because it is "off the rack" Betsy is taking $100 off the price. We texted photos to all concerned aunts, cousin, maid of honor, mom's best friend and it was unanimous, this dress looked custom made for my beautiful girl - amazing. Betsy made our day a great day.

I booked a private dress trial early morning and do not regret it at all it was fantastic. I loved working with this employee. However in May 2025 this amazing experience was followed by an awful experience of going to see my gown for the first time since ordering it and finding out they had lost my gown. Not only did they lose track of my gown, they didn't even notice and stuck me in a room with the wrong gown. No one checked to make sure the gown they were showing me was actually mine. No one checked the tag or the order form. My dress was completely different than the one they showed me in a dressing room. When I of course had a major anxiety issue about it, the staff were extremely rude. The one working with me was new and went to get another staff member to help tell me the bad news. While the second employee didn't tell me her name, she had red hair. She told me "stop being anxious, this stuff happens all the time" EXCUSE ME? I just paid over $3k for a dress that you have no idea where it is at. They lacked ANY accountability and didn't even apologize. She genuinely rolled her eyes at me when I got teary eyed. She shrugged her shoulders like it was no big deal that my wedding gown was missing. They couldn't tell me where my dress was for a week or so and I had to continually call to even make sure they were y of it. They tracked it down in California, claiming the labels got switched.. Be very cautious about this place.

Our appointment started at 1pm, and it was for both me and my matron of honor who is also getting married. We immediately started pulling dresses, and were able to put them into our fitting rooms. I started with my favorite dress, and that was a mistake because I didn't want to take it off! The bridal consultants made sure to take things out and bring things in that they thought we would like. And the dresses that the bridal consultants put me in were some of my favorite dresses. The best thing about this place is that she can customize literally any dress and make it perfect. My matron of honor found the dress of her dreams! I did not find the dress, however, that is not the reason I had to take off one star. After looking back, I realized that there were very limited options. They did not have the options I wanted for a traditional dress, and the quality of the dresses were nothing over the top -- similar to a Davids Bridal quality. They had one dress that I loved the entire time. Luckily, she is able to customize the dress, however, it was very difficult for me to visualize what it will look like. Overall, a really good experience if you are looking for a very individualized consultation -- we were the only brides there the entire day! However, you need a very good vision of what you want before going there, and make sure you can visualize it.

I then arrived and attempted to see if the selection ended where I could see or if the room was longer than that, as we were greeted at the door and blocked from entering further. I walked two steps forward to observe the space and Jacqueline then forcefully grabbed my wrist and moved me from the area as I was attempting to observe their selection. Upon my husband calling, to confirm if the grab was intentional or accidental in the force used, the person who answered the phone, also Jacqueline, was rude, and then proceeded to hang up on my husband and stated they have "no idea what you're (husband) talking about". I heard wonderful things about this place but for them to treat potential customers, let alone anyone for that matter, is disgraceful and unprofessional.

I did have the fortune to witness her do alterations on the spot while I was there, and she was quick, concise and just made a dress go from plain Jane to elegant in a matter of seconds. This is my second time shopping at Toula's for a Hollywood red-carpet quality prom gown for my daughter. In 2012, we called ahead and asked if they had a specific gown and they had the exact one in the exact color and size. This year again, we drove nearly 5 hours roundtrip from way west of Cleveland just to shop here, because last year's experience was so great: 2013 was no exception. Toula and her staff did NOT disappoint! They are awesome! The selection was plenty and the customer service was excellent, despite it being packed with other moms/daughters hunting and parading through the place in prom gowns on a very busy Saturday. After discovering the perfect gown, we found that it wasn't the perfect fit (much like last year - my daughter's a 2 in the hips, but more like a 0 on top) and it had an unfinished bottom hem on the train for some reason - Toula immediately assessed what needed to be tailored, pinned it up and promised it for the following weekend. NO CHARGE - those alterations were part of the deal: WHERE does THAT ever happen? We made our fairly substantial purchase with an incredible pair of perfectly matching shoes and went on our merry way, happy as clams. The following week I didn't want to spend another 5 hours driving out, so I called them and asked if it was possible to just go ahead and ship it (someone mentioned that when we were there) - and they were so accommodating - they SHIPPED the dress to me! What started as a positive experience with this shop being able to get me a dress that was not…read moreavailable through other retailers turned into a negative overall experience. I was told several times that alterations would be $65 for the hem and another $65 for the sides. The dress ended up costing over $250 to alter. It needed to be hemmed, the sides taken in, and the back and arms also. I asked several times if it would cost more before I bought it, and I was told no. The dress arrived the week of the wedding (mother of the groom), so I had no choice but to alter it at the bridal shop. I picked it up four days prior to the wedding, and it was very difficult to zip, and the side seams pouched out noticeably. I was told it was "fine" and that to zip it, I needed to push toward the back and then up. On wedding day, it almost did not zip, and I was worried it would rip. A few of my family members asked about the side seams. Very disappointed.
