Prior to my scheduled deep tissue massage, I enjoyed some Brazilian jazz while munching on banana chips and sipping on mango tea in their waiting room wafting with tranquilizing smells. I was treated to a deep tissue massage given by the lovely Marcella whose flowing technique turned me into an instant pile of putty. I liked that the basic massage time is 75 minutes as opposed to the 50 minute tease offered at a lot of other places. Skin Haven pours over with peace & the energy of stillness from making the appointment by phone to the send-off goodbye. I can see myself returning there or recommending it to friends for an urban escape. I'll just need to warn the city of L.A. to cease all operations of ambulance and fire trucks during my appointments. That was the call to reality that I didn't need.

I've been seeing Janice now for almost two years and she has SAVED my skin! My mom first saw Janice after being referred by a friend, and my moms skin looked SO amazing after the first facial (with microdermabrasion and peel) that I thought I would have to give her a try too. I hadn't had a facial in years, I had started using all organic products, and I was not loving anything I tried. I was also HATING my skin and at my wits end. It was uneven, bumpy and clogged looking. I was in my late 20s and started to think that I needed get serious about my skincare regimen. I didn't want to regret anything down the line, knowing I could have prevented it earlier. After just one facial/microdermabrasion/peel session, my skin was AMAZING! No more weird bumps, and it was smooth and glowing. I was so stoked. I also needed new products, so I started with just a couple of the Le Mieux line that she carries (and later bought the others, religiously sticking with the line now because I love what it does for my skin!). I'm very weary of animal testing and toxic ingredients too, so I was happy to discover that Le Mieux was cruelty free, and used mostly botanical and natural ingredients.
