Talk about keeping it real! I've never been waxed before, but with Coachella around the corner, I figured I'd give it a shot to level up my poolside appearance. Karla (the owner) spent 10 minutes on the phone with me, breaking down the process, pricing, and what would work best for what I was going for. Super informative, super kind. In the end, she advised me not to get waxed right now. She explained that with this being my first time, I wouldn't have enough time to heal properly before being around thousands of sweaty people in the desert. The risk of irritation or issues was just too high. Shout out to Karla, only real ones will turn away your money because they actually care about you as a customer. Good experience. Brand new little studio just off Ventura, across from the Studio City Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Parking is (thank god!) super easy - they have a little dedicated parking lot 'next to' (across the tiny alley way) so you literally are 30 seconds from the front door. Studio itself is small-ish, with partial walls between 3 small waxing suites. They offer hard wax, strip wax, and sugaring... so you can choose which you prefer. Costs thank goodness are very reasonable (nice to finally walk into a new business that is not trying to gouge you due to 'inflation'). I wasn't with the Owner (who was apparently out of town) but the sub aesthetician was very good. Literally the ONLY slight downsides were the lighting (was fairly dim, compared to other private studios - and my esthetician did have a little trouble making out the 'fine hair' (though she did ensure we got everything before done!). And just be VERY careful walking up the steep steps - they were built when the building was - circa late 1970's - they are steeper than most stairs and 'slatted' - it's easier to trip a bit - so definitely if wearing sandals be a little extra careful. Other than those tiny things - cannot recommend this Studio enough - a real gem (and thankfully so close to major cross streets and the Laurel Canyon exit off the 101! Thank you! read more

I just moved to the area and was looking for a new place to get some waxing done. It's been a while since I've had a great experience and this warrants a good review. I booked my appointment here on yelp but due to some construction issues, I wasn't able to keep the appointment I made. Karla was kind enough to call me and let me know. She even made it up to me and opened up the shop earlier so I could get in and try out the services. That alone caught my attention. I decided to come in and get some waxing done. She really knows her stuff. Never done sugaring before and she was patient enough to tell me all about the difference between that and the other waxing options. Turns out I love the results of the sugaring. I was in and out of there really quickly. Probably took 15-20 minutes max to do the tush and this was after she let me try the different types of waxes and sugaring to see which I liked the most. The service was excellent and she really went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and valued as a customer even though it was my first time. This place looks fairly new but don't let that fool you. They knew what they're doing and they're very sweet and patient here with new comers like me. I've already booked my next appointment and will follow up again. If you're looking for a new waxing place, I suggest you try this place. Karla will take good care of you and the parking is great. They have a lot across the street that's free to park. Definitely see this as being my new spot. Thanks again Karla! read more
