I called the store and explained my situation. I'm very picky about who touches my eyebrows. Camille, the store owner, put me at ease and invited me to come in right away and she would make sure my eyebrows were perfect. As soon as I stopped in, she was so welcoming and the shop was very clean. We had a nice conversation, and she shared some tips with me on how to keep my eyebrows cleaned up. I came in asking for honey blonde highlights and even showed a reference picture. I specifically explained that if the exact color wasn't possible, I still wanted a noticeable blonde look, preferably on the golden side. Instead, I ended up with extremely thin highlights that are barely visible and nothing close to what I asked for. What upset me even more was the haircut. I clearly said multiple times that I only wanted my ends trimmed and cleaned up not a haircut. My hair was nearly waist length when straightened , and she cut it to bra length with layers that I never asked for. When I expressed that I felt too much was cut off, my concerns were brushed aside and I was repeatedly told "it's cute" and that I'd like it. I'm disappointed because I felt unheard throughout the entire appointment. My eyebrows grow really fast, so they require that I go in every week. Every week I went into the salon, I was met with more and more anger and unkindness. It seemed like the more I went, the less the lady liked me. AND, on top of that, the more and more I went, the WORSE my eyebrows came out. She never checked for evenness and when I did point it out once, it wasn't fixed. My upper lip was also never fully threaded. She went very quickly. I always have had nice, thick brows but she made mine thinner and thinner. One time, she made my skin start bleeding because of how fast she was going and how much she was not paying attention. The only good thing about this place was the price. I paid $17 for eyebrow, lip and chin-- but it wasn't worth the bad eyebrows and mediocre threading. I now pay $26 for all three at a place in Ardmore. The time it takes for my hair to grow back now is much longer and my eyebrows have finally begun look normal again. I have a rash on my arm because she put the wax on my entire forearm, it cooled down, she waited and THEN tried to take it off. Also my upper lip area was bleeding. I thought it would go away but the skin is actually nicked. When I tried to tell them all of this they were incredibly rude. Like I would come back for a fix 30 mins away when my eyebrows are already so thin an uneven, and I have a rash. If I knew I'd have to tweeze it, I wouldn't have wasted my time and money. The place isn't sanitary either. They also OVERCHARGED me $5.99 on my CC.
