This is delightful coffee house with a great menu. I was there twice for breakfast. Both times I had "the Brekkie." Eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The potatoes were exquisite. I know the recipe to make them. I have tried many times. I have never come close to the flavor and texture of the potatoes. I would go again when in Halifax read more

Came here for breakfast. Service is a little slow, but the food is AMAZING. Everything is made in-house. The gnocchi is legitimately the best thing I have eaten in quite a while: crunchy cheese wheel and perfectly poached egg atop gnocchi with jalapeño water and butternut squash creme with pancetta bits and micro greens. My son's bacon was perfectly crispy and his blueberry waffles were crispy and perfect. Cappuccino was delicious, too! Highly recommended on a lazy, slow day. read more

This is hands down the best chicken sandwich i've had in Halifax, please try this if you get the chance it's absolutely amazing!! The best way I can describe it is that every bite is exciting lol. I also got their basil + parmesan roasted potatoes on the side which were delicious and crunchy and as a drink i got the bliss lemonade which was great and surprisingly strong.. but i'm not complaining. The decor and ambiance is great if you want to sit down and chat with some friends or even get some work done as they have some larger tables! Definitely my new go to brunch spot :) read more

I have no words to describe the dish I had at Bliss. The Orange Waffle. In the top 3 of best food in my life! Sinfully good. Crispy outside, soft inside. Swimming in orange syrup. I was worried I might die of Bliss! 11 out of 10. On the down side the room is easily the WORST acoustically I have ever experienced anywhere. We had to shout throughout our meal. Might as well have been in the middle of the Indy 300! Just the sounds of the other patrons talking. I couldn't even hear the music. It's just an open cement room with a high ceiling. FGS put some batting up, some decorations, lower the ceiling. ANYTHING that will absorb sound. It was enough to ruin the gorgeous meal. You CANNOT have a conversation. I was surprised to see hostess was bare legged with bruises, bug bites and tattoos all over her legs. In a drab shapeless brown jersey dress. You gotta do better than that if you're working at an expensive downtown caffeine bar. She put us next to the very busy counter. We moved. Our waitress was lovely. My friend has very specific dietary needs and they were cheerfully accommodated. They made a special plate for her. Beautiful presentation of food she could eat. Had brunch there in July on the pet friendly patio. It was great as I was traveling through Halifax with my small dog. The staff were very energetic and friendly and I was lucky enough to have met one of the owners. We ate there on a Sunday at 11:00am just in time for their busy brunch, but the service was still fast and great, as busy as they were they did not rush you out. The food was amazing - served hot and displayed nicely on the plate. I would highly recommend. read more

In a beautiful, downtown Halifax location (down the street from the Public Gardens), this caffeine bar offers amazing baked goods and has a delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch menu. My favourites are the cinnamon-roll muffin and the Bliss Breakfast. The breakfast is probably one of the BEST I've ever had... incredible!! and the service is relaxed and efficient. Absolutely the best chai tea ever! This is truly a lovely place. The staff are very friendly and eager to make your visit very pleasant. When I came in today, there were a lot of customers yet the staff seemed to have everything in hand. I love that the decor is simple and unpretentious. The menu is also simple but I'm delighted to see they offer a delicious-looking vegan club sandwich. I'll be back for that another day. The location is perfect and the large windows offer a view of beautiful trees in the green space across the street. read more

Came for Sunday brunch. Super busy but looked to be more than fully staffed. However staff were not attentive during service. Waited almost 40 minutes for food. Asked for an update on our order and was given a silly excuse instead an honest answer. Food was decent but would have been better with a hot coffee refill which they don't offer. read more

Everytime I walk anywhere I take my dog zeek, they have dog parking outside (it's great) but zeek cries whenever I go anywhere without him because he's a big baby, so they bring my coffee out to me while I sit with him, literally the best customer service and yummy lattes 10/10 read more
