I left a voicemail in a panic and got a call first thing the next morning that Nicci would cut and color my hair that day! So I didn't end up getting that job, but I have become a very satisfied regular customer for the past year. Going to Cat N Fiddle is kind of like going to your favorite coffee house. You get what you expect---EVERY time. These guys have years of experience and traning as well. Other salons come and gone but they have been in this same location for 15 years! I had never met Nicci before that first cut and my hair was grown out and a mess, and I am not a good "talker" but he knew. Then, months later, it became inevitable that my hair was not going to be straight anymore due to the moist climate. He helped me make peace with my curls and taught me about frizz control so it is no longer something I need to think about. The music is always awesome--but varied. So forget how wonderful Nicci and Danny are--the view from the chair is breathtaking!!!! A vacation in itself. Highly Recommend this place!

Deirdre herself was amazing!! I had a general understanding of the colors I wanted and she was able to read my mind and deliver even more than I hoped for! She turned my streaky foil job into beautiful balayage and then painted a gorgeous teal over the ends of that. The best colorists turn hair into art and Deirdre totally delivered. She's also incredibly affordable and just a fun person to be around.

She listens to you when you tell her what you want, she is able to actually turn that into a reality, and, if what you want isn't realistic (Hi, I have dyed black hair, I want platinum hair TODAY!!), she will let you know WHY and work with you to achieve a result that will have you walking out of the salon feeling absolutely goddesslike. I'm as fickle as it gets with everything including but not limited to salons. It says a LOT that Deirdre has been my "one and only" since our first appointment together.

Went in to receive calico hair and left after 9 hours with unfinished hair, missed roots, banding, entire missed sections of brown hair, bleach that bleed onto other sections, colors that bleed into the blonde, chemical burns on my scalp. I no longer feel comfortable returning here for any more work and requested a refund, EVEN A PARTIAL ONE, considering the fact that the service for calico hair is NOT COMPLETED. The owner, Angie, has been unsympathetic and unhelpful this entire process. The first response to all of my photos was to thank me for the feedback. This isn't feedback. The hair literally is incomplete AND it's done incorrectly. Zero real game plan for my hair until I ASKED (they really thought 2.5-3.5 hours was enough time to fix it??). Zero explanation for how they expected to finish the hair considering the burns until I ASKED. The "fine print" of the refund policy changes with every response. Any stylist that genuinely cared (and I've talked to many over the past few days) would not have a problem giving me even a partial refund considering the issues, the physical harm, and the broken trust. Now I'm being blamed essentially because I stepped outside briefly a few times over the course of NINE HOURS and the burns could be from the sun reacting when I went outside. I may not be a stylist but, I'm not an idiot.

Got an amazing quote on the cost and it was like "yes please sign us up!" A few weeks later we cane and the whole experience was beyond my expectation. Courtney, the stylist I saw at this salon, fried my highlights pretty bad, and left me with an…read moreoverprocessed orange head of hair that she did everything to mask with styling, so that I didn't see all the damage until I restyled my hair at home, which I had to do right away, because she also didn't wash my hair good enough, and left a lot of my brown root color on the back of my neck, I discovered later at home. I called and left a message about my service, and the damage, and Abby, the manager/owner returned my call, and proceeded to say I should be grateful that she didn't charge me as much as a service like this typically costs, to which I said there is a reason for that, and from there Abby proceeded to make countless excuses for Courtney's poor choices and discussed Courtney's mental health issues and anxiety with me, as if that was good reason. Other things that I should have called out at the time but I wanted to enjoy my service and really thought I was in good hands - I had just recently had a Malibu C treatment to remove some of the darker pigments in my hair and the back of my head processed lighter from that treatment, and the back on my head is where Courtney choose to start highlighting my hair first, meaning that it processed faster and she left it on while the front of my head caught up. I also caught her spraying hairspray before curling my hair - I asked what she just sprayed, she said that it would help hold the curl, but you don't do that, especially on compromised hair???? I trusted this person and I told her I have had back experiences before and that it was a big deal for me to trust someone with highlighting my curly hair, and this is what I get for my kindness and faith that I put into her. I was offered to have one of their other stylists (someone the manager referred to as a "good" stylist) fix my orange color, but I was not comfortable going back there and didn't trust I was in good hands. I asked for enough of my money back to go a salon of my choosing and have someone tone my hair, but they refused to accommodate my feelings and treated me as though I was the one that did something wrong.
