First time going yesterday and I was seen on time by Wendy. I got a regular pedicure and gel manicure. Wendy was friendly and did an amazing job on my hands and feet. Unfortunately, she cut a tad too much from my toes but it's not a deal breaker. Do not go here if you want a good manicure!!!!! The lady was texting while cutting my cuticles and nipped my finger! I have an engagement shoot on Sunday and low and behold she nipped my left ring finger. When I confronted her she didn't apologize but gave me a snarky comeback instead. I have nothing but good things to say about Blissful Nail & Spa! To give you a little back story, I have never been a fan of nail salons. I know how to do my own nails very well and I worry about the communal tools and spread of fungus. However, regular nail polish chips so quickly and I was headed on a cruise, so I felt it was the perfect chance to put gel polish and Blissful to the test. All I can say is, I AM HOOKED!! Wendy is absolutely amazingggg! She takes her time and is truly a perfectionist, which makes her a great match for me, because I am a crazy perfectionist when it comes to my nails. They have a really pretty selection of colors, and I like that they use plastic liners for the tubs of water. Also, the price is really great! Best of all, the mani and pedi REALLY lasted! After two weeks they still looked great, minus the grow-out. I have been twice now and never had to wait more than 10 minutes with an appointment, which is also good. I feel like I had a bad first impression. I went in at 9 am, and was told to come back at 1:30pm for an appointment so I did. When I showed up 5 mins before my appointment I was told that my technician was running late. Late was another 30 mins. To begin with, the instruments she was using was outside plastic packaging, so who knows how sterile it was. Once my technician began working on my toes she asked "if you knew you were doing your toes then why did you wear closed flat shoes?" Me: because I was working. I asked if she had rubber sandals and she said no. Then I asked do you have the paper ones? And she said yes. She proceeded by telling me that if I did anything with closed toe shoes my nails would get messed up. Because apparently it takes 24 hours for your toe nails to dry up. Something I've never heard of. She found it to be an inconvenience to have to remove my acrylic nails and told me it was going to be an extra charge. I told her okay that's fine. She did my toes fine. And once she moved onto my hands said that it was a shame that I had done acrylic and continued to shake her head in the process. The entire time she'd make casual conversation while later making a smart remark. Upon paying, they told me what my total would be and I said I wanted to add tip (I thought I could since online it didn't say anything about cash tips OR outside by the door). The lady said tips are ONLY cash but for this one time I'll let you pay with card. Such a hassle for a mediocre gel nails. ...first and last time. What's not to like about this place they're open seven days a week with pretty long hours. The staff is friendly they're mostly bilingual for my non Spanish speakers. They have a good selection of colors and probably the best price I've found for gel mani and pedi $28 !! The salon is clean and everything looks updated and new. They don't use those Pedi chairs that can accumulate fungus in them instead they wrap bags around the buckets that they use for your pedicure so you don't have to worry about catching anything. Big Plus ! All of the decor is modern and everything is white and pretty much in line with the new farm friendly trends. I waited until my third visit to write a review and just like anywhere you might have to try a few different people and not all manicurist are going to do the same job because that's not how it works ! For being a new nail spa this place is pretty great. Blissful is super cute and chic and the price is right! $27.95 for a gel mani and a regular pedi is amazing. It's a very clean and a great environment. The ladies love to talk and share stories which I love because, for me personally, I love just sitting and talking while I get my nails done. It's not obnoxiously loud like other places I've visited. Ale did my nails and they came out great. She took her time cutting my cuticles and making sure they looked clean. While at other salons I noticed they don't really sanitize their tools, I personally saw her cleaning them and then putting them in a blue liquid to disinfect which is a thumbs up for me because I know they sanitize after every use. Because white is a very hard color to paint evenly I was nervous to try the color with a new tech, but she painted them perfectly because she took her time to make sure it was right. It's a local spot in the shopping center where Flanigans is located. The place it's cutesy, clean, and quiet (a little too quiet for my taste...some music would be nice). I've only gone twice and both times no music. The only thing you hear is people working on the nails or whatever minimal conversations the clients have with their tech. Maybe the owner likes it like that...who knows? The owner is the main person that answers the phone, makes appointments, and greets you. Parking is okay, not the greatest cause it is located in a busy shopping center, but both times I've gone I've been lucky with parking. Overall, the staff is nice and mind their own business and on the client she is working on. Best part is their prices...it's not outrageous like many other places. Shellac (gel) manicure and regular pedicure is $31.95. They do acrylics, regular, and gel. There is only one tech that does acrylic who is Wendy. She is known for doing a good job. One of my coworkers goes to her and loves her. I hope to keep coming back and keep getting good service. read more

And where can you beat a gel manicure and regular pedicure for $27.95!!! TIP: tips are only allowed to be given cash. It happened to me when I went to pay and the girl told me only cash tips allowed I did tell her they should put up a sign that says that however she was very graceful and accommodated me to add the tip to my bill. First let me start off by saying that we were late to our appt and the woman whom I assume is the owner, still allowed us to come. So I appreciate that! This is the thing. My pedicure looks great, the woman who I think is named Diana did an awesome job. There was a language barrier since Spanish is the dominate language spoken here and I have ZERO issue with that. As long as we can understand each other's vibe--I am here for it. And my technician was as sweet as pie. She took her time on my toes which were a mess to begin with..So thank you Diana for going to town on these toes. However, the cleanliness of the tools are one of the two issues I have. My big toe bled soo much because the tech was trying to pick the buildup of cuticle around that toe. She kept picking at it which made it bleed. The blood isn't the issue I know that happens more often than not. My issue is that she used what looked like stypic powder stick to form a clot so that it stops bleeding then to clean it off she dipped it in the water I used to soak my feet in and put it back in the container it came in..I didn't see her spray with anything to disinfect and that BOTHERED me. Tools hit the floor and she kept on going. I didn't see anyone disinfect their tools. Because I am very soft spoken (unless I'm poked and bothered), I sat quiet and watched the whole thing all the while thinking I'm never coming back again. That made me question the cleanliness here. The 2nd issue is the social awkwardness you experience walking in. When we arrived, no one greeted us. We got blank stares and awkward stares the whole time. I honesty felt like i wanted to leave. As I was getting my feet done im being stared at by "regulars" as well as other techs. I didn't feel at home, welcomed or comfortable. The only people who was given a welcome as they entered were clearly regulars because they are known to employees. First impression is everything. And we drove from Pembroke Pines (hence why we were late) to come here since my bestfriend found this place on Instagram and was pressed to go. I also didn't like the fact that I couldn't tip my tech unless I had cash or Zell. I don't have Zell, I have cash app and I don't Carry cash so that made me feel horrible that I wasn't able to tip my tech. The woman who I think is also the owner was also the greeter and receptionist. Im sure she is nice once you get to know her but at first impression the social awkwardness is real and the vibe stayed the same until we left. So unless you are a regular you're stared at throughout your appt like you're an alien. I also speak very butchered spanish and I understand as much as I speak so my best friend translated for me and because I didn't speak Spanish, I was stared at. I LOVE my Spanish speaking sisters--this isn't about language. This is all about how you treat and greet clients no matter if they are regulars, loyal or people you know. They have a pretty good color selection ranging for OPI to D&D. Diana did a great job overall. She took her time with me and was very meticulous. I don't enjoy spending 3 hours doing my nails and this place was perfect with time. I was out of there in an hour and a half. What I loved most was how hygienic the salon was.
