Charro is excellent. She has been doing my hair for over 16 years. She does my hair dye, highlights, cut and styles. My hair all the time.

Im usually forgiving but they don't have good products or machinery spent over two hours in the salon to get my acrylics removed and get a regular gel manicure. And they still came out bad. Also the pictures of the salon look nothing like the actual salon inside. Save your time and money and find another spot to do your nails honestly. read more

From the moment I saw this place near my house I always said I needed to try it out until today. I saw that they were having a special on gel manicure, and pedicure and I took the offer. I arrived around 10am, and I was able to get seen right away by Wendy she is super polite, and nice. She got everything prepare at their pedicure station, and she started immediately. She is super detailed in doing her job from the moment in taking youre cuticles to cutting you're nails, and painting you're nails. Another thing is this place has great variety in colors, and services- they offer from manicure and pedicure to blow outs in hairstyles, and facials. Parking is a big issue at this place due to the fact that have more than one business for a small private lot so recommendation come with more than enough time! I always feel bad leaving below 3 stars to a business although they may very well deserve it i feel like this place is such a shame that the new ownership has made it go to shit and provides such poor service. I called three different times to make an appointment for a facial and the first time it was pouring rain so the traffic was 10 times worse, i called to let them know i was going to arrive 10-15 minutes late and she told me not to bother coming because she had another appointment to follow so its better if i reschedule. I understood because if i was the next appointment i would be upset as well so i understood the need for me to reschedule so i did so. Now fast forward to my new apt day, i dont know what told me to call and confirm my appointment as apparently this is something they dont do. I found it weird i never got a call to confirm so sure enough i called and they told me i was not listed for an appointment on that day , i wish i would have got the persons name i spoke to but i didnt , so here is me rescheduling a 3rd time. Once again, i dont know who keeps track of this appointment book but they completely SUCKK at it! You would think 4th times a charm but nope, think again!! Once again, they dont have me listed on their appointment list the next time i go to go. At this point i am in complete frustration and furious with the place! The next time i told myself i am just going to show up whether they had me listed or not, which happen to be this passed Saturday. I get greeted , asked what time my appointment was for and i said 11 am and she told me she had me for 10 am that i missed it, i said you have to be kidding me but lucky me ( for once) they dint have anyone at the moment so she took me back to the room where the facial would be held and i was in complete disgust. The blanket she had laid out was stained and dirty, then i lay down and the mirror in which she looks through was completely dirty as well and so was the machine where the vape comes out of for her to let steam come out and open your pores, it was moldy and gross. At this point if it wasnt for the mission i went through to even get this appointment i would have walked out and asked for a refund but i wanted to see if the facial part itself would be worth it and ofcourse i should have known better, it was the worst facial i have ever gotten. She didnt even take out or extract hardly anything, i was in and out in 45 minutes with 15 minutes being a mask she put on me. I use to come here when Miriam was the owner to do my nails and its such a shame what the new owner has done and how she treats and takes care of her clients and appointment, they definitely need to work on their system and customer service if they want to last here! read more

Small nail place upstairs of a car shop. I went there because I was by FIU and that was the closest place near by to get a quick regular mani. All the ladies spoke Spanish and the salon was full. I called before going and they accommodated me right away! If I'm around I would probably stop by again. The owner is such a sweetheart and the lady who does my nails does a good job. She is very detailed and precise with how she does my nails. The price is very affordable it is $30 for gel mani and pedi which is what I get done every 2 weeks. Sometimes they have specials like today I guess since it is thanksgiving week the gel mani and pedi was $26.50 which is cool. The vibe is chilled . You get what you pay for. I have no complaints as to why I am giving it 4 stars. It gets the job done. I am not sure of the other services they offer since I only go there for my nails. They work efficiently I haven't been there longer than I plan to and although they are quick they don't rush through my nails. I always leave with my set neatly done. read more

This is my hands down one of the best nail salons I've ever been to. Before I used to go to this nail salon I would go to other places trying to find the right match for me. I've had my cuticles bleed, my nails break easily, my gel nail polish last a few hours, etc. Just so many bad experiences with doing my nails that when I came across SaLounge I was so grateful to the nail gods. They really treat you like family here and they take the best care of you. All the employees are very kind and they are good at what they do. They never seem to disappoint! The have a few different specials that are on-going as well. They do a $30/ gel mani-pedi and a $20 regular mani-pedi. Plus they have other specials during the week. I was holding off on writing this review because the nail technician did tell me to go back and re-do my nails. The second time around the nails were done better however, not very well. For that reason I will be posting my initial review. I wanted this place to be good so badly!! I almost feel bad writing this review because the women were soooo nice, & I can't stress that enough! They treated me & my little sister so good I feel terrible writing this review but I have to. This nail place has so much potential but they go wrong in so many aspects. For instance; 1) Their gel collection is extremely limited. They only have OPI gel polishes and it's not a huge collection either. 2) To say they do things differently is an understatement. When doing your hand they do not soak them in water - it brings bacteria according to them! So when cutting your cuticles they do it cold turkey with nothing on the nail to soften them up. Another explanation she gave me was that when doing gel you cannot wet the nails at all, yet at the end of filing and before putting the gel she told me to go wash my nails. She also put lotion which I'm aware should never be done before applying gel because the oil will make them come off faster and bubble up (which they sure did). 3) when it came to applying the actual nail polish she did so many coats of color (in her defense I did pick a very light color), that my nails look 3D at this point. She also left a very visible spot on my thumb without the clear coat and when I pointed it out to her she said "don't worry that doesn't matter," & didn't fill it in. 4) when I asked her to file my nails a certain way by cutting the edges so that they come out really oval she basically ignored my request and proceeded to keep filing them oval with the nail filler which came out more round than oval. For that reason I asked her to clip the edges. Then, she left all the little soft pieces of nail that stay behind your nail on the top after you file, which later were painted with the gel and now made the nail have a weird shape. Once I got home I noticed I have gel all over the outside of my nails on top of my nail polish looking like one big bubble. Therefore, for all the above reasons I'm giving them two stars. I should've just stuck to a regular mani/pedi, it would've saved me a lot of money and a lot of disappointment. She did tell me that within one week if my polish came off she will re-do them free of cost. Here are some things I really liked, the place was very relaxing and the ladies were very attentive. My 8 year old sister loved how her mani/pedi came out! On Tuesdays and Wednesday's the gel is $35! ------ Once I called the technician letting her know my nails had peeled off she was so nice and accommodating, she didn't hesitate on giving me another appointment and accommodating to my schedule. She definitely went above and beyond in trying to accommodate me, that she came in to do my nails on her day off!! Sadly, I still have gel all over the outside of some nails which will cause them to peel off in about a day which defeats the whole purpose of "gel polish. This place goes above and beyond in trying to accommodate their costumes and in their kind and welcoming demeanor. However, they fall short in technique when it comes to gel polish. I will save my $$ and just do a regular mani/pedi. read more

I really enjoyed visiting this place . I found it thru Groupon and I will definitely go back. It's on the seconds floor of that shopping plaza . Parking can be somewhat difficult depending the time of the day you go. Service is really good and professional. They have great varieties of colors and also offer waxing services. The staff is very friendly and since the place is small it's a nice place to relax and enjoy the services. I wanted to wait at least 2 weeks before I did a review to check my nails but they still look great. Definitely recommend it to my friends and fellow yelpers :)! read more

I came in with a Groupon I purchased for a gel manicure. I was able to make an appointment for the same day which was good, however, my experience was very rushed. The nail tech did an okay job, she actually left cuts on my index finger because she was cutting my cuticle too quick. I actually had to ask her to clean it up and she didn't even bother apologizing. They refuse to use water to soften your cuticles before they remove them. For the price I paid, they did a decent job, although I wish the nail tech was friendlier. read more

I had my nails done at this place twice. All the staff are very courteous. Claudia did my nails the first time (Gel Mani/Reg Pedi) and it lasted almost three weeks. She did a fantastic job. I went back for the second time. My daughter will be going to see Claudia for a Mani/Pedi). I make my appointment and normally I don't have to wait very long. It is right next to Latin Cafeteria on SW 24th and 107th Ave, you are allow to park at the Cafeteria parking since it is part of the complex. Tried this place out because I saw an offer on Groupon for a mani/pedi with gel nail polish. Called to set up an appointment and had no issue getting an appointment for that same week on a Friday at 5:30 PM. The Spa is on the 2nd floor of a tiny shopping center and parking was plentiful even for a small location. Upon arrival, I was happily greeted and seated immediately. The nail technician was amazing!! I have thin cuticles and I always get cut at least once while getting a manicure, especially if it's the first time they work with me. This was the 1st time ever that I did not cut. The gel nail polish has lasted me over 2 weeks without a single problem. The manicure still looks like I just had it done, with the exception of my own nail growth. The pedicure was great as well. She was able to take care of my feet even though I am extremely ticklish. I had a rough spot on my extra ticklish foot and that did not stop Eunise from making sure that she removed it completely. Best find for me in a long time!! Thank you Eunise for your help! read more

Took 2 hours for the worst fill in of my life.. I called and asked how long of a wait and they said they're ready for me now so I went there (it takes 2 minutes from my house) and then I waited for 15 at least, just for them to make my nails the opposite of how I like them and they were horribly done.
