NO!! Run to another place. Friend recommended this place but it's like walking into a middle school. Stylists talking across the room to other stylist about things no one needs to hear. Not paying attention to the customer in their chair. Seemed inexperienced but maybe it's a new business . Was no receptionist so it takes awhile to get someone's attention. Felt very uncomfortable and overcharged. The clothing store is really designed for a 12-16 year girl. Even saying that I wouldn't let my daughter wear or buy anything in there. I am just thankful the truth of who the owner really is at heart is coming to light. People are finally seeing how she is. I always know someone does me or anyone I love wrong or bad , as much as I want to do them wrong or bad back I don't because I know the lord will always take care of it. He always brings the truth to light. I m not going to try to make her look bad and tell truthful things she's done that would make her look very bad and that's hurt people. Instead I'm going to say this: I am just going to keep on praying for u. God tells us to be kind to our enemies that he does the judgment and paying people back. My photos speak volumes. I am so disappointed it's truly unbelievable. I've been to this salon many times in the past, but only for a trim. Lindsey Vargason, the owner, was someone I trusted immensely with my hair. I followed her from JC Penney Salon. I live in SC, but Im from Owensboro & I make trips to Owensboro once a month & I always waited until I was in town to get my hair done by her. This trip I wanted dark low lights on top ( my hair was already blond) and originally, I expressed to Lindsey that I wanted a peek a boo, but I changed my mind when I saw the images I posted. Last minute, Lindsey informed me she wouldn't be available now, but another stylist, Camri would be. She stated she fully trusted her & to further convince me, stated that Camri was her stylist. Upon hearing that, I still hesitantly agreed. I thought, she must be good if she's the stylist for the owner. Needless to say, OBVIOUSLY nothing was farther from the truth!! I arrived, met Camri, showed her the images & she says, "yes, I can do that" and away she went. Once she was done, I was stunned. My hair looked NOTHING like the images I showed her. I mean, not even close. She had almost the entire back of my head brown. If you notice in the image, the darker colors only go up roughly a quarter of the way. Absolutely no where near the middle of her head. The color, which did NOT slowly fade up into my blond (kind of like an Ombre) actually went up to the middle of the back of my head. I was visably upset. I explained to her that I wasn't trying to be a brunette. I wanted the picture that I showed her. Her statement to me was " in her "professional" opinion, she did the best she could" Seriously, I almost fainted. I said, "WHY did you tell me you could give me the look I requested if you actually couldn't?" I again stated " I did NOT want to be brunette in the back" She then asked me, " did I want her to put blond back in my hair?" (to attempt to fix her major screw up) I said," well I want something done coz this wasn't what I asked for" I was so beside myself. She then put bleach on my hair, stuck me under the dryer & left me there FOREVER. It was very very obvious she was NOT happy that I expected her to fix her gigantic screw up. You seriously could feel the tension. She didn't even have the decency to be apologetic. She made me feel like it was my fault she screwed up & I was being a huge pain in her ass, coz stupid me expected her to fix it. I kept thinking, did she leave? Is she ever coming back? Needless to say, she left me under the dryer way too long & damaged the ends of my hair. Then, had the audacity to charge me additional for the extra bleach she had to use to attempt to fix her screw up!! Now that's class right there. $115.00! And I still tipped her, only because the cut was actually what I asked for. I was so upset when I left. I was furious. I later contacted Lindsey & explained the whole scenario. I was very polite. I wasn't angry in my text at all. I was very fond of Lindsey & would never be rude to her in any way. She told me to call her on the 10th coz she was out of town ( i think that's what she told me), but I didn't call on the 10th because she had posted on FB there was a death in her family (we WERE fb friends....were) I posted my condolences & waited about a wk or so to attempt to contact her. I was trying to wait an appropriate amount of time, coz I didn't want to appear insensitive to her loss...and low and behold, she blocked me! Wow. Now that's real professionalism right there folks. I could no longer text her on messenger, so I sent a regular text. I never mentioned her blocking me. I again expressed my condolences & asked her when she was free to please contact me. It's been nothing but silence. She sure had me fooled, putting on the facade that she was a strong believer in God & always treated her clients with respect. Maybe so, until there's a major screw up & then she indirectly tells you...tuff shit for you. I made my money. BLOCK. You can't treat people like garbage & expect it to not come back on you. That's just common sense. Well, she must've needed my money more than me. If she can live with it, I can live without it. God is always watching. #karmaalwayswins. read more

Amazing salon! I have been a client for as long as I can remember and nothing but timely, respectful and kind employees! My hair has never been so healthy! Lindsey is always available and truly concerned about keeping my hair in great shape. I have never kept a hairdresser longer than 6 months until Lindsey! I followed her from JCP to Blitz and have been her client for over 10 years now. The whole team there are so kind and welcoming. I look forward to my appointments. read more
