How about some DIRTY FUN! I went out with a group from work to play some paintball. It has been many years since I have had the opportunity. I will say, this was not what I remember! This place makes paintball seem all grown up. When I used to play, you would end up someplace far out of town. Down back roads, and end up in a farmers field or river bottom with logs or pallets against trees. Then you would pay entry and rent equipment plus $80 for a case to shoot at one another. It was still great though.. lol This place is a whole other level, or 10. To be fair I am not sure how the place would have struck me if I had never played or didn't know what paintball places look like. I mean, I would have thought it was great, but without the comparison I might think every place is like this. That said, I thought Biltz was outstanding. Truly. Here are Pros and Cons, Cons first since they are more related to paintball in general. Cons: 1. Paintballs can hurt, especially when close. So this isnt for everyone. I had a friend who took one hit and said, "I'm done" and sat out. 2. This is a dirty activity, so be prepared to get dirty. If that is not your thing, this isnt for you. 3. Blitz is busy. There were hundreds of players. However, after we started playing this turned into a plus. 4.The check in/rules process took about 40 min. This was a little aggravating and I would have removed a star. However, there was plenty of staff, and the lines were moving. There was just a lot of players and a large amount of rules to cover. But watching it I couldn't surmise a faster way than what they were doing so why punish them for being popular. That's like being mad at a restaurant for having great food and being busy. 5. They had a lot of rules to absorb, after boiling it down there are two super important ones that can get you into trouble and its about safety. Mask on and Barrel Bag on. 6. Check Ego at the door. This place has a lot of refs (Most I have ever seen) during games working safety and they are mostly high school and college kids. Not quite the customer relations experts yet. They try..lol. If you cant take rule directions if you mess up from someone younger than you, it might be aggravating when you mess up ;-). Pros: 1. This is by far the coolest place to play paintball I have ever seen. They have massive fields for the main play areas. A Castle, yes a Castle. A Giant Helicopter, and all sorts of forts. 2. They have another area full of smaller fields for private play or smaller games as well. Very fun. The workmanship on the fields were outstanding. 3. Great equipment. We could see out of the mask (normally a problem). We only had a problem with 1 gun which they switched . Mine worked flawlessly, as my colleagues can attest to Bwahahaha. 4. Good Prices. This was actually cheaper than what i used to pay to play. I am not quite sure how that worked out. Have the prices in this industry gone down? That's refreshing. I spent under $50 received 1000 rounds a rental and played about 5 hours....NICE! 5. They ran a ton of really interesting games and split up the crown to make each game unique. What a blast! 6. There were a lot of kids participating, some might not like this but I thought it was awesome. They were great players and shot me plenty! To Sum up, you might look at the Pros and Cons and think its about even. But the Cons were mainly about what some my find problematic with paintball in general and has nothing to do with this place. Except for how busy they are which I cant fault them for. If you like this sort of thing, are a bit adventurous, and love adrenaline. Then, I cant say enough good things about this place! Blitz is the best paintball setup that I have had a chance to play at in years. They have multiple "rec" ball fields that are very large and allow them to run multiple scenarios allowing you to have a different experience every time you go to the field. This has made it very enjoyable experience whenever I play on that side as its not always just the same game and every time is different. The rec fields are very large and allow you to have very large games with a lot of players which makes it a lot of fun. The property also has a very large speedball area attached as well. They have 2 large fields that they keep up to date with all of the psp and former nppl fields laid out. This allows many teams to use Blitz as a training ground for national events. The fields do get busy down at that end but that just shows how much they are THE center for speedball in CO. Blitz does run a tournament series on site and holds both 3 and 5 man tournaments and does very well with them. The atmosphere in the speedball area is very competitive however teams and players take the time to let new guys learn the ropes and also become part of the culture and the teams in the area. Blitz is top notch and is worth the money and the drive. There are many players that drive 2plus hours every weekend just to play at the field, which is a testament unto itself for the popularity and also draw that this field has in CO. My 11 year old son and I started playing paintball just over a year ago. We've played at nearly every field in Colorado, but Blitz is by far our favorite. Although some have given poor reviews, I think it's important to understand that the refs at Blitz are extremely focused on safety. In fact, they are the best I've ever seen when it comes to keeping players safe both on and off the field. To new players, I'd recommend talking to the regulars, since most are eager and willing to help new players. They may look intimidating with their professioional attire and gear, but they all started out just like you. The paintball community, as we've grown to appreciate, is pretty supportive and truly wants to foster a positive environment while growing the sport. But back to why Blitz is our favorite place to play. - Best designed and maintained fields in the state - Great variety of fields - Experienced and qualified refs - Great selection of different levels of field paint - Reasonable paint prices - Pretty good food available during the summer months - Owners committed to running a business the right way - A genuine sense of community among those who become regulars The only negative thing I can say is that the location isn't ideal for those who live in the south metro area. I have played at Paintball Fields in Florida, Chicago, Minnesota and many of the Colorado fields and I can say Blitz is the finest paintball field I have ever played at. Everything there is clean, well designed and well maintained. Their field layouts are outstanding and make for incredible games...I defended the castle in a game last visit and it was intense! Yes, they have a Castle! I will say Blitz can get very busy for a paintball field, but everything seems to flow well, most of the time. I have always had a great time at Blitz, they have great games and the staff very professional and safety concious. If you have never played paintball and are looking for something new and exciting hit up the Blitz! It is awesome! This place was just was rated top 10 In the world for extreme paintball fields in a Buzz feed article! Now here is what gets weird, I have left a review and even an update for this business before. When it comes to a venue that carters to such a sport like paintball. You won't find a location that parallels that of Blitz and its facilities. The terrain seems perfect for such an intense sport. After playing here every Saturday for the last 5 weeks. I can say that this is without a doubt the safest and most efficiently well ran paintball field I've been to. The refs are very professional when the game starts and are spot on when making sure everyone is following the rules of the game. If you happen to step out of bounds, they are able to yell loud enough to let you know so you can fix your position before being called out. Yes, they yell at you during game play and even after if you are about to walk out of the area with no barrel bag or a mask, etc. They aren't yelling at you to be mean, they are yelling to you to let you know that you need to be safe and to ensure everyone else is safe. If you have any questions or problems you can approach any ref and they will address the issue and try to help if they can. Another thing I have noticed is the refs are great at helping the new or younger generation get into the game and help them with their equipment and will answer any questions. Definitely a great place for a beginner or expert. I won't play anywhere else unless I'm out of state. The paint and fees are also great. The same paint they sell at the field sells for 4$ more on amazon. They have made it into an affordable sport. read more

I have been playing paintball since 1989 and have been to numerous fields across the United States, creating a wish list of things that would make up a field of dreams. I used to play at Raza which at the time I considered a dream. Since Blitz has rebuilt and refreshed itself I now consider this THE field paintball field of dreams surpassing everywhere I've been before. There are beautiful fields back east but Blitz really has it all; from 2 meticulously maintained regulation sized air ball fields with attached pits and air to spools and hyperball fields to exciting elaborate scenario fields. Every type of paintball you could want to play is here to be explored. They've had a long running tournament series which is a blast. Reffing is great and the competition is always top notch. The facilities are outstanding as well, from the covered staging areas to BBQ'd lunch and nicely stocked store. And to make the adventure that much more enjoyable, the staff is super friendly and helpful. They are very safety conscience while trying to make your time there as fun as possible. I went to Blitz this weekend with my husband and I had a blast! This field is brand new and absolutely beautiful! I rented one kind of gun and my husband decided to go all-out and rent a high-end gun. The one my husband had looked like what all the 'regulars' had- he said it shot well and FAST! We mostly played out on the scenario field which was a total blast. They have lots of fun stuff out there, including a castle! One of the best parts was that the employees and the 'regular' players that help out were actually helpful! They helped me get more air (had no idea how to do that!) and answered all of my questions throughout the day. Prices were also pretty reasonable too. I don't know what other places charge, but the paint prices were cheaper than what I can get in the stores here in Ft. Collins. Overall, I had lots of fun as a girl, but I could tell that my husband had even more fun. I can see a group of guys really having a blast together at Blitz. Definitely recommended! read more

Blitz Paintball is AWESOME! The fields are well equipped with all kinds of fun hiding places. There are school buses, forts and even a helicopter to play Black Hawk Down with! This place takes safety seriously and is adequately staffed to have multiple games going on its various fields. Speed Ball and Spools are also some of their great fields. All fields are well maintained and the staff is excellent at set up and referring. The have a very nice selection of rental equipment at various levels of performance. All in great shape and performed well. We took a group of friends with us, some were novice and some experienced and we all had such a great time we played for 6 hours straight. They sell food, drinks and snacks and have plenty of shade and tables for breaks between matches. There is definitely something for everyone at Blitz. Well worth your time and money to go for a day or throw a party there! The best part is the atmosphere is light and fun. read more

One of the best paintball fields I've been to. Starting off my paintball career in 7th grade when my friend first brought me, I of course was like any other 12 year old there; covered in 3 sweatshirts and scared to death. The Blitz staff kindly walked us through orientation and assured us "newbies" that we'd be fine. That day i had a blast! Now 5 years later and me more into paintball than ever. I can justifiably say that I love this field. Having already been there twice this year, I can tell you that they have: Great safety regulations. Great rental deals. Great group deals. Awesome arenas. -PSP -Hyperball -Wheelz -Scenerio -Military -And i believe more that i cannot think of the name for Great and friendly staff. I started playing here Jan '14 with my sons, ages 10 & 12. I read the one-star review and sympathize with that group. As with every business, there are some employees who are better trained than others. We have been with our church twice (90% newbies) and both my boys had their birthday parties here. We have been on open days and private days. There have been a few refs who said things that were different than what Isaac (the owner) promised when I booked, but when I challenged them they were very friendly and asked their supervisor - who then enforced the correct policy as Isaac described in his response to Kaylei. It sounds like Kaylei's group had a bad experience and I feel for them ... we are 4/4 so far, with each experience being great. I'd say if you've read both of these reviews, just call Blitz ahead of time and talk to them yourself. That's always the best way to make sure you're making the right choice. read more

This place goes above and beyond in all aspects of paintball and customer service. Excellent rental gear, arenas, and help from the staff. I bought a used paintball gun and the manager, Travis literally showed me the ins and outs of my marker (gun). He made sure the marker was clean, well-lubed, and up to par while teaching me that process hands on. I'm new to paintball and the knowledge he gave me was essential and much needed. Thank you! The employees at the counter could do a better job of up selling better paint rather than just offering the standard some-what low quality paint. The refs did a great job of making sure players are safe, following protocol, and having the best paintball experience. Josh and Brodie were also very helpful! My family and I came all the way from Las Vegas ( had an awesome road trip ) our good friend Josh is working here for the summer and highly recommended to paintball here, we are having the best time playing here, worth every minute. The playing style is for anybody, beginner intermediate, advance, and ages from children to adults can play and have fun. Joe helped set us up, the refs are very proactive in helping every situation before during and after each game. There are multiple fields and different playing style games they explain the rules for each game before entering the playing field. I played five times this year at blitz. I'm a newbie to all of paintball. I rented the first two times. I then decided to by my own gun off of Craigslist 'bad idea' because I knew nothing about the gun I bought. I was having trouble with the gun I purchased so I took it up to the guys behind the register - Travis was the one that helped and changed out a Oring as well. I was amazed by his knowledge and his kindness - he took the time to help me and had a smile on his face the whole time. Customer service is big part of my life and job. To see a guy like Travis speaks for how professional this business is - hands down makes them one of the best places to play paintball. What to say about Blitz. Well, in short, this is the best field that I have ever been to. I have been to many different fields across the country over the years, ( been playing for almost 8 years) and this field stands among the top anywhere. What really sets this field apart is the friendly atmosphere you get when you first enter. The staff are very dedicated to safety as well as to helping you enjoy a fun day of paintball. They will answer any and all questions that you ask them. Another thing is that the other customers are generally very friendly. Went there for my friends birthday and while it was fun, it could have been much better. The staff are quick to get upset, they say you get a warning for removing the barrel bag, took it off once and no warning just a ride to the front. The staff can be rude at times; lazy at other times. It was a Sunday and not a lot of people were on fields but for some reason when we tried to get a game going the staff took over 15 minutes each time "getting enough ref's" to have a match which I could plainly see three ref's lounging about. As far as the course itself, They do not let you choose which large arena you want to play most of the time which is a bummer. But the course are fun and pretty well maintained. read more

Growing up I had always wanted to play on a high quality field. Dreams came true when we first played at Blitz several years ago. Love the setup at Blitz Rec. fields are amazing to play on when you get huge groups of 50+ vs50+. Professional grade speedball/air field. Best turf I've ever played paintball on. Excellent staff who are knowledgable and can tell they truly love the sport of paintball. Comparable price to other fields with multiple price points for rentable gear and price break for large parties. Blitz is able to accommodate new and seasoned players. I have played paintball at multiple fields all over the country and Blitz is top notch. The fields are super fun with all kinds of cool obstacles like a giant castle and a helicopter. Their paint prices are super resonable, I have acually paid as much as $100 a case at other fields, and the staff is very focussed on safety. Also dont be intimidated by the players that look like Pros or regulars. The paintball crowd is the nicest people ever and we all want everyone to have fun. So when you come out ask a person who looks good for some help, and I promise they will happily give you pointers or cover fire on the field. read more

They are very helpful with explaining how to properly play and ensure everyone is having fun and being safe! My second time here and I will continue to come with friends and family. I made reservation for my birthday to accommodate 20 plus people which they had no problem with equipment. Their equipment is well maintained and cleaned after each use which is rather comforting!
