Our family went in last night on a whim. We wanted to try Glizzie's Hot Dogs and Brats, check out the newish arcade setup, and of course throw some axes. We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Friday, and there were some groups throwing in the lanes, some in the arcade playing, and a few in the inside seating area enjoying a drink. We ordered our hotdogs and brats, and went to grab a few beers while waiting for them to be ready. While a limited menu, they do it well with choice of toppings added or get the pre-set toppings also. Nick did an excellent job of being the full operation of taking orders, preparing the food, and delivering within the establishment. While waiting for our food, we asked about a lane as walk ins. Isis let us know one would open in about 20 minutes if we wanted it. Our entire time there both Nick and Isis assisted us throughout from getting the lane ready to giving us throwing tips and even assessing us and helping us adapt for success. They both even let us test throwing their own knives which I fell in love with. Both of these employees do an incredible job of engaging with their customers and making them feel so welcome. This was only our second time over the years coming here, but they made us feel like regulars. The arcade is also adequate for a small space. Lizzie's has filled that space the best options like skee-ball, four person PAC Man, a few types of shooting and racing games, air hockey, pinball, and Space Invaders plus many more. If you're looking for a fun time in Brighton that treats you well, Lizzie's is definitely the place to be! read more

I asked for use of an axe range in trade for my gaming card, she said no! This place used to have an epic arcade that you had to put money on a card in order to play. I came back in with my card that had $ on it to play, but they had disabled their card system and took out 2/3 of the arcade games! The owner was there and said that because they couldn't confirm how much money was on the card, that she wouldn't trade me for a $27 axe range. Which is FREE for them to let me use. I had been here several times on dates and she was perfectly ok with me never coming back in instead of honoring my previous purchase. There was NO ONE there, btw. All the other bars in town were FULL. Makes sense though, their drinks are twice the price of anywhere else in town. read more

I was here for a private company event and so the whole place was booked for the night. It was my first time axe throwing and what an experience it was! I was a little scared at first, because alcohol and axes? What can go wrong? Seeing the completely open cages (stalls?) was a little unnerving at first, but after a quick demo by the staff and a couple of throws, I got the hang of it. Bullseye on my second try! The place is massive and clean. There are other activities there besides axe throwing; claw games, video games, darts... They have a full bar, even with just 2 staff that evening, they served our drinks really quickly. I'm not sure if they serve food, but we had catered food from an outside vendor. My husband and I went on a double date here. I had never gone ax throwing before and wasn't sure if I would like it. It turned out to be a blast because we kept laughing at each and how bad we were at hitting the target. We eventually got the swing of things and started hitting the target. I actually got lucky and hit the bullseye. The workers were great checking on us every 15 minutes or so to ask if we needed any help. My husband kept missing so the manager came over and stood with him for a little while and gave him some tips and then Doug was able to hit the target. We went to the new Northglenn location and it was awesome! The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. Who knew the there were axe throwing leagues??! Overall one of our best family nights out in awhile. We had 2 adults, 2 - 12 year olds, 8 and a 7 year old. Everyone in our party was able to see success (sticking the axe) in our hour of play. In hindsight I wish we had booked for 2 hours. The food is good ol' bar food. I was happy to see ballpark style chips and cheese. Felt like the perfect snack for throwing axes! This was my first time axe Throwing and I didn't know if I'd like it. Surprisingly, its more fun than you might think. I didn't know you had to wear closed-toed shoes, but they rent them to you for free, which is nice. The staff were all extremely friendly, which I think is hard to find these days. We ordered chicken bites and though the portion was exceptionally small, they were good. I liked the atmosphere. Deducted one star because the music was horrible and I think it's a little pricey per hour. read more

All the times I've been here I've enjoyed it. I've taken plenty of friends and family and it's always great. I do particularly like the atmosphere, the employees are always great. The private lanes are awesome for groups as it's more appealing to hangout exclusively with who you go with. Staff was very friendly. Love the bar area. Only downside..... the lanes are super short compared to other places. At one time an axe came all the way back to the table top. Also, I almost threw an axe over the wall (trying to do double handed) and could have gone over and whacked someone on the other side. They need to add a cage up there also. We booked two hours of axe throwing and could not have been any happier with the time we spent at Lizzie's. We were greeted at the door and welcomed into the process of getting signed in and shown to our throwing lane. We had some time before our scheduled reservation so we went to the bar to get some drinks, and we were served by a friendly face and helpful bartender. Instruction was provided to those that had not done this before and we were on our way. We were checked on a number of times to make sure our experience was positive, and the targets were sprayed several times. Overall, this was an enjoyable way to introduce axe throwing to a couple of people that had never done it before. The entire building was clean, organized, and friendly, including very clean restrooms. We will be back again in the future! read more
