Very rude man at the front desk. Would believe they'd have respectful workers working at an AIRPORT.

After a long travel day, dragging luggage that distance is definitely not ideal, so be prepared for a serious walk if you're renting a vehicle. Also... no Starbucks? Absolutely wild. For an airport, that honestly feels unbelievable. Sometimes travelers just want something familiar, quick, and dependable before or after a flight, and not having one was definitely noticed. The airport itself is currently under construction in some areas, but that had nothing to do with the rental car location or the lack of a Starbucks. Those were simply the biggest inconveniences of the experience for me personally. Other than that, the airport experience was decent enough, but definitely wear comfortable shoes and plan accordingly if you're renting a car.

I lived in Rhode Island for many years and always found this airport to be convenient and…read moreefficient. It has frequently been renovated and always was nice but right now it is difficult to tell what's happening because there is so much construction going on all at once. This is resulted in crowding at the gates and into major inconveniences like the only bathrooms being at gate12 so if you're at gate one or two it's quite a walk to get there. Today's adventure started early in the morning because I had a flight at 8 AM so we arrived around six. I had a rental car and absolutely no idea how to get to the place to drop it off. The signage is poor at best after a few misfires, I finally found it and then begins my morning exercise. It is far from the rental cars to the terminal so the walk is quite formidable. They do have moving sidewalks which helps, but it just seems like an inefficient system for an airport of this size. The efficiency of the airport is excellent. One of the best TSA I've ever dealt with. Quick efficient and friendly. I use CLEAR plus and it literally took seconds to get through. But with an early flight, it would be nice to have some breakfast and the choices are dismal. There's a Dunkin' Donuts with a line that pretty much includes everybody waiting for a flight. There are two restaurants which are empty and there's no doubt in my mind that that is because of high prices unlimited food choices. Two eggs $24, chicken and waffles. $24. They're stuck on that steep number for not much of a breakfast. Would love some breakfast choices. We will see when the construction is over. All in all the efficiency of the airport, both at arrival and departure is excellent. That is why despite the problems while construction is going on and the long haul to get the rental car and return it it is still a four star experience. With a couple of tweaks, it could be five stars.

I don't have to deal w/ the stress of sitting in hours of traffic, expensive tolls, or navigating the chaos b4 my trip even begins. 1 of the biggest perks is how quick everything usually is. The security lines move fast,& I've rarely had to wait very long, which makes traveling so much less stressful. I also really like the newer renovations they've made the airport feel more modern, clean, & welcoming, w/plenty of dining & shopping options while waiting for a flight. The only downside is that ticket prices can sometimes be more expensive compared to flying out of the NYC airports. Even so, for me, the convenience, shorter drive, & overall smoother experience are well worth paying a little extra. Whenever I have the option(it can have fewer direct flights than NYC), Bradley is my 1st choice. It makes the start & end of every trip so much easier,& that's something I really appreciate!

The drive is less stressful, traffic is usually much smoother than heading south toward New York, and I don't have to deal with the congestion that often comes with JFK or LaGuardia. The airport itself is clean, easy to navigate, and has a much more relaxed atmosphere. Getting through the terminal feels straightforward, and I appreciate that everything is conveniently laid out. There are places to grab a bite or a coffee while you wait, and overall it makes traveling feel a lot less hectic. While I'd love to see even more nonstop flight options, the convenience alone keeps me coming back. Bradley is definitely worth considering over the larger airports.

After being in some huge airports this surprisingly little airport was such a change a d fun to see. I think my small house is bigger. The faucets in the bathrooms were very cute. The place was clean and everyone friendly. There is a playground on the side of the building under shade. The Restuarant has three sides of windows is small enough you can see the runway right there and the planes take off. Our food was very tasty and the service prompt. I had the tortilla soup to start but it was too spicer for me and the server changed it out for their clam chowder soup which was served very hot, full of clams and tasted really good. I would say second to the soup we ate at Martha's Vineyard chowder at Oak Bluffs( they had the best I ever tasted) I had a garden salad which was a very nice size; full of different lettuces, onions, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives. My granddaughter and I shared a hamburger and fries. Again good portion and tasted very good. I recommend stopping here for an hour or so, if this is your thing. The bus runs every hour and we went on the way to Edgartown from Vin haven and stayed 2 hours since we were in no rush to eat and leave quickly.

They charge $5 for every bag at curbside check-in; and they got rid of the check-in counters inside, and force people to do their own check-in and bag tags via a kiosk..... then, without any guidance or signs or helpful customer service teams, you (as the paying customer) have to find a baggage handler who can double-check your "check-in luggage" and scan your boarding passes and your ids and then weigh your bags and finally push them through the belt. It's a f*cking hot mess. People all over the place, getting frustrated, not knowing which way to go; not knowing who to ask; not knowing how to proceed. WHY NOT JUST HAVE A NORMAL CHECK-IN COUNTER/line and stop the madness!?! :( It's no wonder all the JetBlue customer service team are GROUCHY AF and all of them act like they HATE their lives. Zero smiles, zero customer service and no care whatsoever. The JetBlue I knew and loved is LONG GONE...... this process SUCKS. And after wasting almost an hour just to check-in our luggage (yes, the lines were that SLOW) --the so-called "PRIORITY LANE" takes another hour just to go through TSA check. JFK/Jetblue should DO BETTER!! BE BETTER!! We're all paying you top dollar for your so-called "excellent customer service" --WHERE DID IT GO?!? The only reason we put 2 stars is because the TSA agent was funny and tried to be positive......a big thank you to him. And another star for our flight attendant who was super friendly and polite. She was the ONLY ONE (out of 4 FAs)who smiled and kept people on the positive vibes. The other flight attendants and "customer service" agents were just grumpy AF and had perpetual frowns on their faces. JFK / JETBLUE = FAIL

Barnes is one of Massachusetts' largest airports with a strong flight training, general aviation, and military presence. The 104th Fighter Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard is based out of Barnes, and it is an operational flying unit assigned to the Air Combat Command. They proudly claim the honor of being one of the oldest flying units within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. There is a specific Fighter Squadron assigned to the base which is responsible for providing defense of the northeastern US airspace. As a result, this small airport plays host to a lot of general aviation (propeller and jet) planes, and some very spectacular military fighting aircraft. I generally stay down the road at the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Westfield, and I'm often treated to some amazing sights and sounds when the F-15 Eagles roar by while practicing their touch n' go's, or heading off on a mission. On a recent trip, earlier this Fall, I was fortunate enough to watch the 104th conduct two early morning launches of the F-15 Eagles. One mission of the 104th is Aerospace Control Alert (ACA), providing armed fighters ready to scramble in a moment's notice to protect the Northeast from any airborne threat. This unit is responsible for protecting a quarter of the nation's population and one third of the country's Gross Domestic Product. Mighty impressive! Located inside the airport is a terrific little pub and grill known as Papps. You can choose to sit inside down on the first level, or upstairs on the covered observation deck to enjoy a drink and your meal, along with a great show down on the airfield. If you are an aircraft fanatic then you'll enjoy the opportunity to sit up on the observation deck and take in the activities at Barnes Airport. If you're lucky enough, you might even get to feel the ground shaking as the F-15's take off.
