Each itinerary is customized, so for us more of a party atmosphere was desired and Gary did not disappoint - From the start he supplied us with morning mimosas for our ride out, followed by tastings at each winery. As an added bonus Vino Crawl even had their own personal cornhole and kan jam for our party to use! By the time we reached our second destination, a delicious spread of heroes and salad was laid out for us to dig into...all with a live band playing in the background (can't beat that). Everything was taken care of from transportation, to refreshments, to food..even photography! Along with being our own personal photographer, Gary was very attentive to everyone's needs (AKA: LOTS of rest stops). He even let us linger longer at the last vineyard when our time ran out, because no one wanted to leave! You have a great driver, Kevin, who is very knowledgeable, friendly, fun, and most of all patient to put up with all our drunken shenanigans during this past weekend's Yelp Beer Bus event. The bus itself is clean, comfortable, and has both a tv and dock for playing your Ipod's. It's a great way to get around and taste a lot of beer without having to worry about getting a DWI ! Kevin knows all the routes to some of the best local breweries, and is a big craft beer guy himself. They do many beer tasting events on LI and around the local NY area and have packages available for group trips, or shorter shuttles to the local brew tastings. Check out the website for upcoming beer events and rates. To me, it's totally worth the cost to enjoy a worry free, and safe day, rather than drinking and driving. We hit up Great South Bay, Long Ireland, and Port Jeff Brewing Company. That last stop in Port Jeff on a terrific spring day was just perfect to try some beers and then wander around the town for a bite to eat before heading back to the train station to drop us off. Raquel was extremely accommodating during the planning process, even with all of our back and forth due to COVID planning. The actual vineyards have very strict restrictions on group size post-COVID (even now with NY open) so I would suggest keeping the group to 10 or less. We upgraded to the party bus and was worth it! One improvement I would've liked to see would have been options for dietary restrictions. Lunch was a veggie platter with dips, and Italian hero sandwiches. Our group had a vegan, gluten free, and dairy free folks so we brought our own snacks and they had some of the veggie platter. As a meat eater myself though, the food was great! For 8 people, I booked the Cabernet package which is a 7 hour tour with 3 stops and includes lunch, chips, cheese & fruit platter, water and soda. We also opt'd for the Riverhead Ciderhouse which is a $15 additional cost per person. Our driver, Ray, arrived 20 minutes before our scheduled pick-up time, which was great so we were able to leave exactly on-time. We were in a Lincoln Stretch Limo, my guess is that it is classified as a 10-12 person limo, with 8 people we were fine, but I think if we had a 9th person it would have been cramped. The limo was in great condition and on a 95 degree day, the AC kept us very comfortable. Ray was great, he was super personable and was happy to take tons of pictures of our group and carry coolers to and from the limo. He took great care of us. We had about an hour at each of the 3 stops; our travel time from our pick-up location was about 1.5 hours. First stop was Ciderhouse and was probably my favorite. It's a large and comfortable atmosphere. Next up was Duck Walk where we grabbed a table inside and Ray set-up our lunch. The sandwiches provided were good, but kind of on the small side. 1 of the 8 is gluten free so did not eat the sandwiches and the 7 of us had no issues finishing them off. The cheese and fruit platter was good. The last stop was at Pugliese which is mainly outside with some live music. We brought our snacks from the car in and had them with our wine. Nice vibe but on a super hot day it's a little uncomfortable. Overall we had a really great time and I would definitely do it again.
