Dr. Lindsay McDonald has done wonders for my back! I've been coming here for months now to get adjustments after some lower back pain during my pregnancy and I always look forward to my appointments. My visits with her are always so pleasant. Truly such a friendly person. I also had a number of acupuncture visits with Betty and those were so calming and relaxing. She always took the time to explain what would be happening next since I had never done acupuncture before and it was a really great process and I felt very informed every time. After all of these visits, I really feel like my delivery and last trimester in general just went so smoothly. Now, holding a baby who is quickly getting bigger and bigger is putting pressure on my back, shoulder and hip so I've continued my adjustments as needed and I'm so happy I have them to turn to. I've been going to Dr. Block for a few years now after having moderate pain in my right hip and lower back from a hit and run incident that happened to me while I was walking to school. Also, I was never clinically diagnosed but it is highly suspected that I have at least a type or form of temporomandibular disorder (TMD or TMJ) of the jaw that creates an enormous sense of pain when I yawn a certain way. For some reason, it's like my jaw gets stuck in a certain position and I can't close my mouth so I have to consistently be wary of how I chew my food and and yawn. The pain isn't completely gone but I must say only after a few visits, Dr. Block worked her magic. I've been to other chiropractors and they definitely lack something compared to Dr. Block. She does more than just fix the spots where I feel pain at. She'll go through and do a general exam just to see where I have any misalignments (this includes my upper and lower back, shoulder and neck area) to ensure that I'm as 100% as I could be. She's the type of healthcare professional that is incredibly passionate about what she does and looks at it not as a job but as a career she's worked incredibly hard for (especially because there's definitely more males working the field of chiropractic practice in general). Her receptionist and staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful. I'd say the only down fall to this place is that the hours can be somewhat challenging to work with. Really unprofessional folks working here at block chiro. The office manager is particularly brusque and short with people, the front desk lady is aggressive and unpleasant, and the business itself seems to be failing (most of the office is vacant/unattended, never see other patients here, tons of open appointments times, office manager doesn't know how to deal with insurance, etc.). Therefore they get 5+ And for those that gave a bad review to this clinic because of lack of knowledge of their own insurance policy And those that complain about wearing a mask indoors NONE OF THOSE THINGS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE CLINIC OR THE DOCTORS. I've been treated by most of their Practitioners as they have grown in size and I have never been disappointed. I've been seeing Dr. Lindsay McDonald since May for prenatal chiropractic adjustments for my pelvis, upper & lower back and I'm a firm believer that all pregnant women should see a Chiropractor to ease their way through pregnancy. You don't realize how much change your body goes through and how taxing it could be on the body. My OBGYN midwife has complimented how open my pelvis has gotten since the beginning of my pregnancy. This rating is based off the customer service I received only because we were treated so badly at reception we decided not to receive service with Block chiropractic. My fiance and I were traveling from out of town due to a death in the family. He started having hip pain so we decided to go to the chiropractor. Block Chiropractic was IN-NETWORK. We both work for the federal government and our insurance covers chiropractic visits. The problem was he didn't have his medical cards on hand, which is an easy fix by calling the insurance company and having them send it through email, which was the option we chose instead of paying the 140 dollars for non insurance customers. Meanwhile while getting the information from the insurance company we were belittled by the office manager and Dr. Block insisting we pay the 140 dollars because we were from out of town and THEY DO NOT OFFER FREE SERVICE'S !! Who asked for a free service, we were aware there might be a copay of 30 dollars but I'v never heard of paying for a treatment upfront and getting reimbursed by the doctors office, if anything the insurance company will send a bill if there were any overages. When I asked Dr. Block why wasnt this information disclosed to us over the phone she began to lie, saying WE didn't know we had insurance(can you believe that)and she didnt know we were from out of town. This is information needed inorder to set up an appointment. When your In-Network it doesn't matter if your from out of town or not. After being insulted and belittled more times then I could count. We thanked her for her time and wished her a nice day. Need less to say I feel like Dr.Block and her team treat people nasty based on racial prejudice and judge you as you walk in the door, we felt unwelcomed before we could take a seat. Went to try this place out for acupuncture. They billed for the full visit despite it being covered by insurance; they told me I hadn't met my deductible. I don't like outstanding bills, and the secretary had the screen with my insurance info in front of her, so I paid (my mistake). I got home and checked my insurance and my deductible had been met several months ago. I called right away and they said there was nothing they could do. I now had to wait a month for the transaction to be processed through insurance to "see how much i owed". After 8 weeks, I got my money back. Inexperienced and unprofessional, or thieving crooks? I started seeing Dr. Lindsey when I was pregnant back in 2015, and she was able to help alleviate tension and improve alignment throughout my pregnancy, including/using the Webster method which was my initial purpose for chiropractic. She also was very gentle for my baby's 1-2 adjustments to help his alignment as well when he was a few months old. I still see Dr. Lindsey and am very happy with the chiropractic care. I have been a patient of Dr.Blocks for years and she is without a doubt the best chiropractor I have ever seen. She takes her time with each patient and makes sure that she has addressed all your chiropractic needs. I started seeing Dr Block for neck pain and migraines. She listens well and asks pertinent follow up questions. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a second chiropractor - Dr. Lindsey, a couple of acupuncturists and massage therapists. I have not seen them all, but have used the services of several and have no complaints. Dr. Block does sometimes run late, but they also have water massage beds, so if you use those you can do that before the session. read more
