What a wonderful experience at the Cut & Shave Artists Barbershop. I was greeted with a friendly smile and my reservation with Amy was acknowledged. I noticed all the customers were greeted with the friendly approach. When the greeter wasn't there the barbers also greeted in a very friendly manner, not as if the customer was a bother - unlink other places I've been. My cut and beard trim was a wonderful experience. Amy listened to what I wanted, made some wonderful suggestions. I could immediately tell she had years of experience. Her techniques were even noticed and commented on by a couple of the other barbers. You will not go wrong getting your work done by Amy. I only wish she lived in St. Louis so I could get a maintenance cut on a regular basis. Amy is amazing! What can I NOT say about her? She listens to what you want and goes above and beyond. She will also suggest if something may or may not work well with your hair type/face shape/etc. I've been seeing Amy for about 2 years now and there have been a few times where I've strayed and I will never let that happen again. She has a QUALITY shampoo bowl (Who wants their face wet during a shampoo? Not me!) Her suite is really cool too. Awesome decorations. She made me feel especially comfortable as a gay client- which is nearly impossible in a barbershop setting. Amy is AMAZING. I've been going to her for 2 and a half years now and have gone through about 6 or 7 hair styles in the same amount of time. She lets me know beforehand what will and what won't work with my head shape, and I've never ended up leaving with a hair style that isn't working. When I first went to Amy I had gone to 4 or 5 barbers trying to get a hair style to work, and after each one had ended up with a cowlick. I told Amy this and she immediately felt my head, and said "yeah its because you have a this point back here." She went to work and gave me the same style, but this time sans cowlick.
