His staff does a good job in not only cleaning my teeth but instructing me on how to take better care of my teeth and point out where I need to brush and floss better. His prices for cleaning, fillings, and crowns are very reasonable with no unnecessary upcharges or upsells. The office is clean and inviting without that sterile, dentist office feeling. I've been going to Dr. Choi for over 3 years now. After having a bad experience with a dentist in MTV who told me that I needed gum surgery for cleaning, I decided to ask my original dentist who to go to in Northern California. He referred me to Dr. Choi after knowing him for many years. Dr. Choi let me know that I did not need gum surgery, and did a deep cleaning to fix everything. He's also helped me with my continual cleanings and invisalign as well - superior service. He doesn't drop the ball and is honest with my teeth. On a Sunday I noticed a hole from my old fillings (and freaked out cause I thought it could fracture). Of course I freak out, text Dr. Choi, and he meets me in the office an hour later. Quickly rent a car in SF and drive down. It's hard to find a dentist you can trust, which is why I commute to San Mateo to see him every two months (invisalign treatments and cleanings) even though I live in San Francisco (without a car). I usually don't like going to the dentist, however the experience and customer service at Dr. Choi's office was excellent so I thought he deserved a review. He and his staff were very friendly, walked me through each step of my cleaning and exam, were very thorough, engaging and professional throughout my entire appointment. The advice and techniques to talk daily routine and preventative practices went above and beyond what any other dentist or hygienist staff I have been to previously has shown me. Most of all I liked how the staff seemed to genuinely care and everyone had a very friendly and nice attitude. All "smiles" the whole way. The office is nice and Dr. Choi is nice, however be aware of their billing. They overcharge for procedures (i.e. cleanings) that I've never had to at my old dentist. Better to go elsewhere. read more

I travel all the way from Fremont to see Dr Choi and his amazing staff. 1) The front desk is always on top of making sure I understand what's going on from appointments to billings 2) the hygienist staff are extremely passionate about their jobs and are always helpful without being hurtful on how patients can improve dental habits 3) Dr Choi is the best dentist I've ever seen. Granted I've only had 3 other dentists in my lifetime, Choi takes time to see how his patients are doing. He also uses a technique to distract patients during shot administration that I wish every dentist used. I seriously cannot recommend Choi & his staff enough. The support staff here were very friendly. They got the job (teeth cleaning and xrays) done quick. Dr.Choi was funny and he extremely knowledgable. I love going to the dentist now. The way they set appointments is really convenient and they actually message you if another time opens up before your previously set appointment! The sign up process was super quick. I have been recently seeing Dr. Choi. I absolutely HATE going to dentist because I didn't have a good experience when I was younger. I always dragged to go see a dentist. I did tell her some of my teeth are sensitive to cold and she was very gentle and really listened to what I said. Suggested some product to help with dental sensitivity.
