We grabbed a table in the open gazebo, which worked perfectly for our group. I'd recommend arriving early if you want a spot near the stage, where they have live music throughout the evening. The farm opens at 5 p.m., but you can arrive as early as 4:30 to order pizza. I HIGHLY recommend reserving your crust online. It's $10, but that goes toward your pizza purchase. They also have a limited number of walk-ups available each night. We tried the Guyro and Millie the Meatlover pizzas. The Guyro had seasoned lamb, cheese, cucumber, tomato, and tzatziki and was such a unique combination, but the Meatlover was my favorite! It had plenty of Canadian bacon, pepperoni, and sausage with a great meat-to-cheese ratio. We also got the cheese curds with marinara, and definitely get some dill ranch for dipping! My one miss was the $7.50 Blueberry Basil Lemonade. I didn't get much blueberry or basil flavor and thought it tasted more like a watered-down pink lemonade. My brother's rum and Coke, on the other hand, was pretty strong for the price. You can also bring your own beverages. There's plenty to do while you wait for your pizza. The farm has pigs, alpacas, donkeys, cows, goats, plus games like cornhole and basketball. Between the animals, games, live music, and open space, it's also VERY kid-friendly. One of my favorite parts was meeting the owner, Kim, who took some time to show us around. I loved hearing about her vision of creating a welcoming space centered around community. They even have accommodations on the property and can host private events. A few things to know before you go: Bring plates, napkins, utensils, containers for leftover pizza, and a trash bag because those aren't provided. The bathrooms are also porta-potties, so come prepared! Overall, this felt like a little summer getaway without traveling far from Minneapolis. Come early, reserve your pizza, bring your picnic supplies, and make an evening out of it. I'd absolutely come back!

Things to know upfront: - reserve/put a deposit down on your crust online ($10 plus tax) It is highly recommended. You pay for the full pizza once you order at the hut. They will ask for your name when you walk up. 1 crust typically feeds 2 people. - there is free farm parking - bring your own napkins, plates, and utensils (they do have a farm kit you can get if not for extra $) - this is a zero waste place so carry out your garbage recycling - no pets / children need to be supervised - you can rent one of their group seating spaces or find seating if any tables are open. Absolutely lovely venue for a sweet country style or shabby chic wedding! They had a gorgeous barn decked out with chandeliers and comfortable seating. Lots of extra little modern touches of chalkboards that they had beautiful writing on them for the wedding. The outdoor seating for the actually wedding had nice solid planted benches- not teetering- which is alway my odd fear when having to opt for bench seating. It was a beautiful set up. They had some funky fun pieces too. A giant rooster and the standing tables outside had some fun or nice quotes on them. The quirky, wordie gal in me loves the fun random find of what was written in the tables. They even had a posh 3 bathroom, air conditioning outdoor potty rooms. Both for men and women (no, I resisted checking out the men's but I was dang curious if it was as nice as the ladies side). They also had ample parking, which is always a big appreciation for a city chic like me. My only complaint...it was hella hot in that barn!! For an 80 plus degree day, I would say they are not set up as well as they could be for moving that hot air. Should I EVER decide to marry again, I would totally consider this venue...in a cooler month.

With Kate C. as our guide, I knew this would be a lovely experience. We focused on the goddess Lakshmi and plant Tulsi. Working with both energies really brought out the themes of sunshine, abundance, exploration and love for me. I got to play with all these themes on the property. Lake Osceola Retreat's land is outstanding from both the interior and exterior. Lush rolling green hills, varying ponds, hiking trails, lounge chairs, a swing hanging from the tree, sauna, jacuzzi, flowers, herbs and exterior porch were some of my favorites. The small details such as mosaics around the home made me smile. For wildlife I saw the cutest otter floating on its back for 20 minutes, 1 deer, eagles nest, a yellow bird, squirrels, butterflies, a frog and more. I had a serendipitous connection with another gal regarding the blue vervain plant that filled in a big portion of the landscape. Connected to the land is a lake which contains some kayaks and row boats next to the dock. Swimmers beware: while swimmable, the water is beyond murky and weedy. I did jump in to get the full experience along with a kayak adventure around the entire lake. Being there solo with only 1 other cabin on the lake was serene. The water was like glass everyday as zero motor boats exist. For my room, I had a the red lotus room and slept comfortably. The property has various wings where rooms exist. In my wing, there were 3 rooms and 1 bathroom. The retreat gives you shower towels and every gal brought her own beach towel and toiletries. The best part of the interior of the home was the yoga room where we spent a majority of our time. Yoga props such as mats, blocks, blankets and bolsters are available to use. For my retreat, we had a beautiful alter with flowers, tarot cards, pictures, reading materials and more. We did various yoga classes, guided meditations and women's circles. This space was extremely grounding and healing to me. Each day, my host made a meal. The kitchen was large and boasted a long wooden table big enough for all the gals and more. All the dishes and amenities were available for us to use along with a dishwasher. We had soup, curry, hibiscus tea, eggs, toast, berries, a cacao ceremony, coffee, tea, and dates with peanut butter. I will always remember how clear my mind was coming into this retreat along with after. I felt called to explore, be with women, and absorb myself in nature. The house layout was great for a medium-ish groups: two bedrooms on the main floor, a loft with a couch (and room for an air mattress), and two bedrooms downstairs. We had a group of 12, which I'd say is probably the max, a few people ended up sleeping on couches and I'm not sure how comfortable they were. The indoor pool was such a highlight! We spent most of our time there. It's heated, has Bluetooth speakers for music, and even a projector (though we didn't end up using it). There were plenty of floaties, and it was a great space to relax and hang out as a group. The pool could have been just a bit warmer, but we went in the spring when it was still a little chilly outside--I imagine it's perfect in the summer when the sun warms the space more naturally. Parking was super easy. All 12 of our cars fit in the driveway with no issues, and the house was easy to find. A few small cons: * Since we visited in spring, I'm not sure the place had gotten its full seasonal cleaning yet, some of the windowsills and the area outside were pretty dirty. * The fridge was a bit small for a group of our size. Definitely bring extra coolers, especially if you're stocking up on drinks. * There's no recycling available. We ended up bringing all our recycling home because we didn't want to throw it in the trash.
