I used Bloom to capture my marriage proposal. Bottom Line: Excellent service, solid communication & organization, got the pictures in a few days (with weekend in-between), but the differentiator was the attitude and partnership. I am usually good with ideas but not execution and seek high quality people to work with. I talked to several photographers who would have shown up at a time and a location to take pictures and done a fine job at that. Danielle, however, was brimming with interest and excitement. She gave an immediate impression that she not only understands the importance of a moment and how relevant a few minutes can be to the rest of someone's life; but that she seems invested in these projects and that being involved brings her joy. That quality created confidence in her, allowed me to focus elsewhere, endeared her to me, and created a positive experience. She was also a good sounding board/collaborator and I recall making some adjustments based on things she said. If you are the one proposing or if you don't plan photographic moments much - I suggest telling her your plan and getting some feedback. When it came time to capture the moment, she had a good sense of how to work with people who are in that post-proposal haze. I am pretty sure I called Danielle by an incorrect name, and my g/f was in semi-shock, so Danielle's intangibles once again became a big factor in terms of how she handled us. I believe Bloom has a number of folks that are part of the process and my hope would be that Danielle's sensibilities are imparted on her team and how they operate as well. 5 stars from us. read more

My then-fiance and I planned a very last minute small wedding at Eden Vale Inn in Placerville, CA, which is an extremely quaint and charming outdoor venue. Our entire budget was microscopic, and so we needed someone who was affordable and produced the BEST quality pictures. That seems hard nowadays especially with the market being so damn pricey and competitive! I came across Danielle by looking at the Eden Vale Inn geotag on Instagram, and THANK goodness I did! Her photos were the most modern and flawless edits I've seen. Not only that, her small wedding package was ridiculously affordable for us, which was a no brainer. We met up with her for an impromptu interview at a cafe, and she's just so precious, personable, and accommodating to our needs. She quickly picked up that my then-fiance is an awkward turtle in pictures, and I'm easy to manipulate for posing, so she made us both feel comfortable by telling us that she'd direct us. Forward to the wedding on 11.11.2017--the most perfect day ever. She brought her husband Jerry along to help out, and they were able to communicate without making a peep! She got amazing candids, flattering angles, and was able to direct us so kindly without being bossy during all of the chaos. She even took requests that she nailed per usual. We also accidentally went over our time by an hour, which she kindly let us know if we wanted to add on some more minutes, which we did. We paid and tipped them well for the inconvenience. With an added bonus, she offered us a complimentary anniversary photo shoot, which I'm so excited for (scheduled mid-October)! I'm sure I'll add them as I receive them sometime in November-December. While I HIGHLY recommend her to my own family and friends, and see myself requesting her for family photos whenever I plan on expecting, she is currently expecting! I'd imagine if you're reading this in September~December 2018, don't be upset if she lets you down kindly upon contact. She'll have her first little human to attend to :) read more

Danielle worked with us for our June 3 wedding this year, as well as two other photo sessions. From the get go, Danielle made a point to meet in person and get to know my husband and I. She was flexible in meeting us where we'd like to do our engagement session, and she even watched our dog while we made wardrobe changes! She is very sweet, and even though we had never been the subjects of a photoshoot before, she made sure that we felt comfortable. Our first session lasted maybe about 2 hours, and she got our photos out to us within 2 weeks! They were gorgeous and we used them for our save the dates and wedding website. During the wedding planning process, she made sure to check in with us every few months to see how things were going, and even did another photoshoot with us in downtown Sacramento. At this point, we were a lot more comfortable in front of the camera, and she captured some gorgeous shots during the "golden hour" of sunset. She made things fun and not awkward at all, which I can totally be in front of the camera. Lastly, during our wedding, Danielle did an incredible job of capturing our special day. She made sure to meet with me in person before the day of the wedding to get some ideas of what style we'd like (classic/romantic, not cheesy) and I gave her my "must shoot" list (bride & groom with immediate family, with bride's grandma, etc). The day of went smoothly, and she was flexible with any changes that happened. She took charge when she needed to, like when my husbands family members wanted us to wait for other family members to get in the shot, and changed up her schedule when needed. We even got our 900+ pictures back about 2 and a half weeks after the wedding, just after we got back from our honeymoon. They're all even better than I imagined. I can't recommend Danielle enough for your special day/event. She's sweet, professional, caring, and very very responsive to what your needs are. Danielle was easy to schedule and set up a session with. The studio set up was gorgeous, my son and I took photos in April on the 24th for a Mother's Day special. Mothers Day morning I received the unedited photos and was I could choose 10 photos to be edited. I choose my photos that I liked and sent and sent them over... now here's where it goes BAD over the course of 5 months I sent several emails and no responses, I sent a message in instagram and the message was "seen" but not responded to. So again I sent another message on Oct 27 and on the 28th she responded that her team would respond to me and that she was on vacation. NOV 3rd I received my 10 edited photos from the Mothers Day shoot... smh it's super disappointing because I wanted to use these photos for my sons yearbook along with the fact that I shouldn't have had to reach out as much as I did. If I had never responded what would the outcome have been? The way this was handled supersedes the wonderful encounter I had with her in April... I mean think about it... would it be ok for you to have to go through all of this?? Oh deposit and payment had been made before the shoot so there was no problem on my end. read more
