I went here for the first time and the customer service was absolutely amazing! I got a manicure and a pedicure with lisa and jen and they were so sweet and accommodating. I grow out my natural nails but they are usually very thin after removing the gel. They did an amazing job maintaining the health of my nails after removal in comparison to most places I've been to in the past. My nails turned out perfect and I would highly recommend them for the quality of their gel manicures! read more

I am very disappointed with my experience here, from the quality of service to the staff themselves. I told them I was having my nails done for my wedding, which was two days after the manicure/pedicure I received. The woman cut four of my cuticles on a single hand making all of them bleed. It was like she didn't even notice and tried to keep going. I didn't let her touch my other hand. She brushed it off and said "it's fine it will be fine," which clearly it wasn't two days later for my wedding (see photos). They were yelling at my mother who was trying to have her nail specialist fix the manicure that she had messed up and tried to overcharge my sister for something that was their own fault. I should have paid attention to the reviews for this location. My sister and I, unfortunately, made appointments for mani's and pedi's here. I happen to have the angry employee. She handled my feet during my pedicure with such aggressiveness that I had to ask her, "What is the problem?" Apparently, she wanted me to suspend my leg for the entire time that she scrubbed my feet and massaged my legs. I have never, in the many years of having a pedicure, been asked to suspend my leg for the whole time during this process. Perhaps had she "Used her words" I would have understood what she wanted. On top of this, she had the angry-face the entire time and spoke to me with a sharpness that one might give a spouse whom they hate!!! She then pointed to the front of the salon and said, "Sit over there!" She was directing me to the area where "she thought" she was going to do my manicure. I couldn't imagine!!! I told my sister and one of the employees of the salon that there was no way I was going to allow the angry and rude lady to handle my hands for an angry manicure. My sister agreed with me that we should leave and complete a manicure elsewhere. Before we left, a nice employee offered to get other employees to complete our manicures. The angry employee (lady, for clarity) disappeared into a back room, where she should remain. Some people are "Front-House" and some are "Back House." I would not recommend this salon to anyone because you just cannot depend on having a good customer service experience. Today I walked in to get a manicure and I asked the guy if he could stop drilling so hard because it was uncomfortable and his response was that he could not. Then I asked him again can you please not drill so hard and he said that's not how I work. I proceeded to get up and leave. I had to review this place because this is the second time that I've gone for service and was not satisfied. The first time, I noticed that my nail polish on my pedicure was thick and uneven and today I had the same result during my shellac manicure. Today, I go in and the manicurist proceeds to scrape my post-soak shellac off with his fingernail, and that was after he gave someone a polish change while I was sitting in his chair waiting for him to finish my manicure. He seemed to be a in rush so he didn't file all of the old shellac off which made my new application lumpy and my nails were uneven. The icing on the cake was when I explained to him that another client had stained through their shorts, with what appeared to be blood, and had then sat in a pedicure chair to have polish change. I wouldn't want to sit in someone else's blood so I thought it was prudent to let them know. It was basically shrugged off, so it let me know how much of a priority hygiene and sanitation is at this shop. Out of convenience, I went here, but I regret it so much. My gel manicure is lumpy and when I complained about the paint being lumpy she told me it's because of the color. I explained to her I have had this color done before with a different nail salon and it has not been lumpy. Also, the previous PINK paint is still on certain nails. Just a lazy job! Had a great mani/pedi today with Leigh. Very clean and professional. I would highly recommend her.

Got a pedicure and it was fine. $35.00 but the salon was very dirty and unorganized. Things were piled up all around the salon, the protective screens were filthy and a dirty Kleenex was on the counter upon checkout. The man who was sitting there, had his nose in his phone the entire time. I wouldn't go back due to the price and the ambiance. I've been here countless times and am shocked by the reviews on here! It's very clean, professional and they are usually fast! My nails always last several weeks. It is super busy usually especially in the evenings so I do recommend always making an appointment and sometimes you still have to wait which can be annoying but overall it's the best nail salon in town! I made an appointment in advance through their website and I've got the appointment confirmation from them. However, when I showed up on the day, the staff said my name was not on their list and I was told to come back. I complained that I had an confirmation letter, but they never listend to me and never apologized. I went today to get a full set of nails and a pedicure . The salon was very busy yet they were still able to accommodate me. I had Michael doing my pedicure and he went above and beyond. He told me a little bit about getting a full set of nails dipped. I come from the time of having acrylics so dip is something new to me. He informed me about the process and continued the service. He took his time, and you could tell he was very careful with his craft. My nails look great. I love the "dip". One last thing I wanted to add is there very clean in use disposable covers inside their pedi-basin while doing your pedicure. Yesterday I received a top of the line pedicure at their salon. After my service, the tech working next to my chair decided to give a manicure to her client as well. Upon trying to leave, she was blocking my exit so I couldnt put on my socks and shoes comfortably. I asked her to move and explained I was disabled but she wouldn't move more than an inch or two. I was forced to walk in my bare feet on their dirty floors after receiving my pedicure. Yuck! Called management today and got an apology but no refund or not free to make things right. We made appointments days in advanced and showed up 10 minutes early. No one ever greeted us, there were 3 other people who had been waiting a while. They are extremely understaffed and in no rush to service their patrons who made appointments. Don't waste your time here, we waited 50 minutes before being sat. read more

I have been going to Bloomfield Nails and Spa at this location since it opened. The main reason I liked it so much was because of Michael - he is very professional and does a wonderful job. My nails were beautiful. I referred alot of business to him. After more than five years, Michael was suddenly asked to leave/transfer. I was told this salon was hiring more inexperienced personnel. I went in once to ask why Michael was gone and the employee who approached me was borderline rude. I left messages and emails for the owner, Menh, to call me and never heard a word. Luckily for me, I finally found Michael at his new location, and I am once again receiving premium service. read more

After three visits, I would not recommend this place. On my first visit a woman (white) walked up behind me while I was receiving my manicure and tells my nail tech "are you available to do me now" and the nail tech ABANDONS me (with no explanation given), gets someone else to finish my nails so she could go serve the other woman!!!! How does someone get to by-pass a receptionist, walk up to a nail tech while they are servicing a customer and request that they be done "now"? Are you kidding me? How rude! I complained immediately. The owner offered an apology and said it wouldn't happen again. Visit #2 went ok, and I brought in business (i.e. a friend). Visit #3 (today) I came in 15 minutes after the shop opened to get a mani/pedi. Although 99% of the pedi chairs were open, they sat me in a broken chair (I.e when I turned the message feature on, the chair sounded like it needed a muffler)! When I asked to be moved, the nail tech say, "oh, yes this chair is kind of loud." but looked annoyed that i wanted to move. Are you kidding me? She eventually moved me but made no apology and no offer of an extra something considering the inconvenience. Finally, I had a simple ($20) manicure however at the completion of my service my cuticles were still ragged. When I brought it to the owners attention she fixed it (I.e. quickly cut them down) -- no offer to redo, no discount offered, heck not even a sorry. Also, in defense of the broken chair ordeal, she told me they didn't know the chair was broken... I said to her that her nail tech knew, because she said oh yes, it is broken."!... Owner: crickets, and an attitude. As i stated previously, this was my third visit to this salon. Was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt only to find there are no benefits, only doubts. So, no more of my money will be spent here. It's unfortunate that some people would rather mistreat you or look down on you while you're handing them your money. Funny, she doesn't know who I am or how many customers I could've brought through her door. I guess she never will. From the looks of these reviews, she needs to improve. I've been coming here since they opened. Usually happy with service, very disappointed last 2 visits. Previous shellac mani was so thick my nails looked fake. I went in the a Quick upper lip wax. That should take less than five minutes. When I walked in they asked me what I wanted done. I told them I would like my upper lip waxed. They started to speak amongst themselves in their native language and then told me to come back later. I went back three hours later since I was running around doing errands that day. And when I walked in they asked me the same question again of what I wanted to have done. I told them I would like to have my upper lip waxed. They then spoke again in their native language amongst themselves. And told me to come back tomorrow. So I left and literally found a spa across the street "Bliss Nails and Spa". At this salon they were very friendly and told me to have a seat and they saw me in two minutes and my upper lip was waxed and all of one minute. I decided to try this place on a whim today. I haven't been entirely satisfied with another nearby place I've been going. The lady doing my nails was really nice and friendly, but she took forever. When she was done, I noticed she painted over a long hair on one of my nails, so it looks like I have a crack going the whole length of my nail. I was on my lunch break and had already been there for an hour and a half, so I didn't have the time to make her fix it. Plus, they charge $36 for a shellac mani. I have been having my nails done in the Waterford location since they opened......Lynn the manager did such a AWESOME job on my nails.... I just found out she moved to Pa. with her family..... I do have longer than most people have their nails. But of course I was also charged more because of the length..the other day I went to have them done (of course Lynn has left the company) THE FIRST GIRL WAS VERY RUDE TO ME AND IN FACT REFUSED TO DO MY NAILS UNLESS I WOULD PAY her $25.00 MORE THAN what I have been paying for a couple of years...I have brought several customers to this location.. I am very insulted and will not return to this location.... when I do find a new location I will be sure to let EVERYONE know.. Good to know you can afford to lose lots of good customers... I had the absolute worst manicure I've ever had last Saturday at this location. First, I made an appointment for me and 2 of my girlfriends to all receive manicures. We showed up and they had clearly forgotten about our appointments, although when I gave her my name I saw the appointments on the screen. We waited 30 minutes and I was brought back to start. The nail tech proceeded to rush to do me and my 2 friends one at a time! So much for a relaxing experience. No hot towel, no lotion massage, nothing. He hurt me and I told him it was hurting. He kept apologizing but he kept doing it. Next, he made my friend bleed. Finally, it was insanely expensive compared to Birmingham. Now, 2 days later my shellac manicure has completely chipped off of 3 fingers! Both of my friends shellac is also chipping. And to top it off 2 of my fingers have scabs from him cutting me. I usually go to Bloomfield Nails in Troy but I had to reschedule due to my nail tech having to leave early and I was running behind due to work. Long story short I decided to go to this one since it's around the corner from me. The guy was rough grabbing my feet and hands and he wasn't a good polished. My big toe nail is lopsided. He didn't scrub my feet good enough and he gave me a half ass manicure. I spent over $70 there today and it wasn't good. The service wasn't good and when I would interrupt him to scrub my feet better he said he did but I know my big toe had dry skin on the side. Not to mention when I got my manicure the water was freezing cold. I will never ever go back to this place!!!!!! read more

Went in for pedicure and dip manicure. 1) My cuticles were not touched-not even pushed back and certainly not trimmed. 2) My foot rub lasted... zero seconds. There was no massage on my feet or hands. 3) I admittedly have some rough heels and they were scrubbed for approximately 3 seconds. 4) My manicurist wasn't even going to trim my fingernails until I asked her to even them out. 5) I didn't see anything come out of a sterile bag. Yuck. 6) It was $70!!! That is before the tip I felt I had to give, and seriously wished I didn't.... Avoid this place. Please. There are too many other options out there. I came in on Friday for a gel manicure, it was peeling by Sunday. I came back to get them fixed on Monday and the whole mani still peeled by Thursday. The work was very very sloppy, very rushed and I'm not too sure if the tech I had knew how to care for natural nails. The technician scraped my nails with a nail clipper to remove my old gel because he didn't want to wait for the acetone to soak it off, and then used the nail drill on my REAL nails. The second nail tech did the same. I appreciate him fixing them for free, but they still ended up peeling 3 days later. My nails were different shapes, my cuticles were still dry after. I have been coming for here for months... it's always been my go-to since I moved back into the area. I religiously would come every 1-2 weeks. The last time I came, my nails looked horrible, but I figured maybe it was an off day for them, and I understand people have bad days, whatever. Well, today will be the last day I ever come here. First and foremost, the receptionist/front desk lady is just rude as all hell. My sister got a mani pedi and always paid 45$... the receptionist decided to charge her 50$ this time, and my sister even spoke up and said she always pays 45$.... the receptionist said "that's only with a coupon".... first time we have ever known about this... and the extra money she charged her then put "organic pedi" on the receipt... on top of that, her pedicure was about 9.5 minutes long... literally.... and every single one of her toenails and fingernails are all a different shape... there's also bubbles on her fingernails... now the icing on the cake with this situation was that someone walked in and asked how much a mani and pedi was, and the receptionist replied $35!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!?!?!?!? Wow! Shame on you, lady. Now, moving on to my last experience... I got a shellac mani and a normal pedicure. My pedicure water was freezing. I asked about 3 times to please warm up my water to which someone finally did... I wasn't paying attention to the water level and I moved my toes around and someone was like NO NO STOP MOVING! To which they then proceeded to grab a dirty bucket to pull water out of my pedicure tub... Then, as I was getting my pedicure, I told the gentleman that my heels are extremely dry so to please scrub them. He said ok, but only focused on my back of my toes which was odd, so I told him again about my heels. You can obviously guess how that went... most of my toenails are a different shape, especially my two big toes! One is a straight square with points, and the other toe is completely rounded. I was so aggravated I didn't even say anything. It was time for my manicure, and they couldn't find the color I wanted so they brought me something "similar" which wasn't similar at all, so I told them I'd pick something else out which you could tell they didn't want me to take the time to do, but I did anyway... a couple of my fingernails have air bubbles, and every single fingernail is a completely different shape. Half of my fingernails aren't even fully painted, and don't even get me started on my cuticles. Please save your time and your money. It's unfortunate that my first yelp review had to be this one, but I am so disappointed and disgusted in this place. My family and I will not be returning. read more

Another fat LIE-She was working on another guy the whole time. She said she tried to call and text me (She did NOT-wow, she really loves to lie). I visited this salon as a one-off with my 3 daughters. 3 of us have bleeding cuticles. Despite mentioning that one of the nails were crooked, it wasn't fixed.
